I was wondering on couple of questions. The first one being 16 seconds in. How do you get the answer you do and not 0295? Also at 1:46, I got the answer 5289. Thank you for making this practice video.
Tyler Davis Tyler Davis well 16sec the answer 0195 is right because 5 is the fist answer then 9 is the second because of the 9 it well always change the next answer to the smaller number to the dial right after it so instead of the next answer being 2 it's 1 the after that it's 0 and like before at 1:46 sec in the 9 well also change the Dail right after it to the smaller number so I'm the this case the number looked like it was on 8 but because the the the first Dail was the number 9 it's changed what looked like a 8 to a 7 ..... look at It as if it's at 9 then 0 becomes a 10 ...... so if it's not past 0 "10" the. it hasn't made a full rotation. so the next number can't be seems to be on if it's pointing at a direct number... like exactly at 8 or 3 or like 5.. they all would turn into the number directly below it would be like 7, 2...4... hopefully this helped 👌
Hey Tyler. @ 0:16 - Even though the 2nd dial is sitting very close to the 2, it's still going to be read as a 1 because the 3rd dial has not made it pass the 0 yet.
@22bx2 - Whenever the dial hand is inbetween two numbers, it's always the lower number. When the dial hand is right on the line, or too close to call, look at the dial to the right for reference.
sloppy pictures. I know how to read and I believe Tyler Davis is 100% correct. I got the same answers as you at 16 and 1:46. Appreciate the test but if it was clearer it would be better
Your right about the pictures; they should could have been clearer. But, sorry daffier, at 1:46 the answer is 5279. Even though the 3rd dial is sitting on the 8, the 4th dial has still not passed the 0; which makes the 3rd dial a 7. Analog dials do NOT always sit perfectly inline with the index face. I read meters for 20 years, and if I would have called that read 5289, the customer would have received a higher bill than they should have. Cheers

Steve, at 1:06 I got 56875. On the x10,000 gauge, why is it 7 and not 6 since the needle has not yet passed 7, the number greater than 6?
