is it hard to change a vocalist? It depends. Wich vovalist and by who. Take AC/DC for example. It's a very specific sound and with axl rose as a new singer, it just doesn't sound like AC/DC anymore. But it can also depend on the song and who is listening to it. Let me explain. Nightwish had/has some amazing singers. All with their own sound but they all fit the songs very well and i can't really pick a favourite. But then they have the song Bless the child. I liked Tarja's version, i liked Anette's version but i couldn't get into Floor's version and i didn't know why. Some times later i found an old CD i liked growing up and getting connected with the genre (best of gothic rock) and i found out why i couldn't get into Floor's version. On the CD Bless the child (Tarja's version) is directly followed by Monolith of doubt (by After forever) with Floor as singer. So for me, hearing the CD so many times has almost blocked my mind from accepting the combination of that song with the voice that goes with the next song.
