I understand you mate can't agree with you more, but who knows, series four after Richard Curtis (Jeff) gone, it became much less successful, sort of ran out of ideas, I usually watch the first three series in loops while studying in the background. We could say the same about Blackadder, what a masterpiece, and they finished it in the fourth series brilliantly and they became better and better from each series, I watched the first one less comparing to the others. The characters got better from the second series. Sometimes it's better to finish in the pick without ruining the magic left behind, look at Friends, Seinfeld, How I met your mother, even that they're Yankee series, they sort of lost it with the years and even if not, they're about nice, can't compete with Coupling never period.
People say its because jeff left and I agree. But if were being honest, its because Jeff left and then they replaced him with oliver. Oliver stepped over the threshold where awkward became unplesantly creepy.
Series creator Steven Moffat got hired as a writer for Doctor Who. That effectively cancelled this awesome show. But he sprinkled hints of his new job through out the last season.
In the movie To have and have not, Lauren Bacall says to Bogart's character: "If you want me, just whistle. You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and blow"
In situations like that never ever commit, if you don’t know what they’re talking about just keep making generalisms and nothing specific. They handle it brilliantly here and I didn’t mean to use the word handle as an almost euphemism. But Coupling was one of the most underrated comedies, it’s a shame it’s so often overlooked when talking about the best British sitcoms as it deserves a lot more love.
I loved the misunderstandings in this show!
There's something really funny about hearing his deep, velvety voice get higher and higher the more flustered he gets.
Steve had the greatest meltdowns! LOL!
The couch cushion one is hilarious!
I use to adore Coupling. First British sitcom that got to me.
No matter how many times I see it I still laugh at Steve's dinner party rant in the Lesbian Spank Inferno episode.
Steve - "Susan probably needs a hand..."
Susan's Mum - "Not as much as you do, apparently."
That "apparently" is a nice touch, Susan's just like her!
@@channel_alanit really was
Sick burn
Ladies and gentlemen, Wanda Ventham - mother of Benedict Cumberbatch,
The lotus eaters on bbc 1972 , 3.
Moffat chose her twice to be a mum on his shows. She actually does look a bit like Susan.
Brilliant, underrated show. :)
2022 and it still so relevante and hilarious
Never understand, many stupid series goes for years and why such a great one finish after 4 seasons.

@@Jack.K96 Friends, Seinfeld, HIMYM are far far far superio to the coupling
Coupling is good. But they are no match, especially friends or seinfeld.
@@larrybuchannan186HIMYM being far superior to Coupling is a crazy take.

ooooo.... Jack's gone CUTE!
Just realized the mother-in-law’s line is a reference to Hollywood 40s and 50s star Lauren Bacalls‘ catch phrase.
Steve is wearing Sherlock's purple shirt of sex!
This is how norrington would have won over governer swann
apparently ^^
So much better than friends.
Susan Mother is played by Wanda Ventham - Benedict Cumberbatch's mother ...

Does anybody know where to find bloopers of Coupling, if there even are any?
That is actually Benny Cumberbatch’s mother.
