- Prior to becoming MGI 2020, Abena Appiah had already been in two major pageant stage as Miss Ghana: MU 2014 (unplaced) and ME 2019 (Top 20).

Abena was flawless and nailed every part of the competition in Miss Grand. She deserved to win. Even with Ghanaian sash she would had won.

If she competed in Miss Universe 2016-2019, I think there would’ve been a really good chance she would’ve placed.

I guess the million dollar question is: Could she have won Miss Grand International representing Ghana? It's very apparent that her evolution from her first appearance in Miss Universe in 2014, to Miss Earth in 2019, then to Miss Grand International was transformative for the better, and that she truly deserved to win the MGI crown. However, Ghana isn't a country with any kind of success at any of the international pageants. Could Abena have won representing Ghana? Obviously she was very astute in her strategy to give herself a better chance to win by representing the United States.
Ghana has never won big 4 but she is Ghanaian American now!

Our Lord God sees all our effort,he is the one who can read whats in our mind and see whats in our heart,at first i am disagree with the result but after awhile i realized how Miss USA prepare herself,starting in miss universe now in Miss Grand International we can see how she improved the way she walk and her facial reaction as well,and her answer is Good also like Miss Philippines,This is another testimony that if you want to achieve something in life,you may feel broken and down in your journey but if you will not stop and continue to walk,you will never regret it,your prize is waiting for you at end of the road.So keep fighting everyone😊

MGI has been my fav pageant's fav list together with MU and MW. Very entertaining and not boring. Can not wait for the next edition of MGI 2021. 🥰

Eventhough Ph should be my winner this year but i accept that USA are well deserving as well. She did her homework very well. She can speak Thai and yellow evening grown, which is the color that Thai people wear to welcome the King. And In Thai culture, she can pay respect very beautiful.
But MGI isn't a thai pageant. It is an international pageant that promotes inclusivity to everyone and should not be biased and favor solely for thai audiences. The judges isn't even thai in the first place, how did they understand her answers? She at least has had an interpreter when she answered the question in thai so that people didn't shocked to the result.
so, next pageant all of the candidates must wear a golden yellow and we can who's the most in all way.

Almost Pageant Lovers in Indonesia admit that Abena deserve get the crown of MGI. Not like Miss Universo Telemundo Latinas, almost PL hate the decision. Even children knows who the contestants can answer the final question better.
