I just went to this mall yesterday. It was so sad. The storefronts are empty. The store that are they sell junk. Even the food court sucks now. Heck even CPK and Red Robin suck. I used to work at the mall from 2007-2009. It was soooo fun. I knew everyone there. I never makes money because all my paychecks went straight to clothes and shoes. Times like that are over now
That mall has had so many changes, it used to be only one level, and the entrance you just walked through, used to be the entire food court and they had an arcade called the Gold Mine! I used to meet friends after school and on weekends, it was a fun place that was always busy, kids today will never know that feeling it was great connecting with people. Later in life I became an electrician and did work on the roof of that place which used to have these stretched canvas covers over the open roof areas and if you lightly pounded on them like a drum, it would send a low base sound throughout the entire mall, I used to watch peoples faces as they look up wondering what they were hearing hahah it was great!
When I moved to CA, the mall was only 1 level. It's sad to see these malls so empty because of covid & online shopping. It was a nice mall when it was in its prime.
My hometown mall. good memories. I got my first dog there as a child and met my first girlfriend there as a teen. Thanks for taking me back for a smile. ✌🏻
Lol. I remember the pet store. One time while sitting at the table having dinner with my family, I said ‘mom, you smell like puppies’ she paused and said ‘oh, I was playing with the puppies at the mall today’ 😂😂😂 we were all so jealous
I'm from the 805 and live in ventura, sucks to see how sad the mall is now, stores in and out all the time! I don't know how half the stores there survive. Chedder or paisa Sundays still pop off tho. Ventura is pretty ghetto now .I remember it when it was one level and had a pet store where Macy's is and there were bird murals painted along the walls
Pacific View Mall has some good stores still. There are a lot of empty store spaces in there, which I'm hoping it fills soon. Maybe having events held there will increase traffic and make it more active. 🎉
Na bro rent is just too high in the 805 or cali in general, a diff store closes each month in this mall. Food court also gets a new place each month, so ghetto they took McDonald's out lol. I've been going here since the 90s it's never been this bad, only gonna get worse
As a Fil-Am who lives in Ventura County and have been back and forth to the Philippines, I can sadly say Filipino malls far outshine the malls here. The PacView mall looks like it’s stuck in the 80’s while Filipino malls continually evolve.
It would be good if the mall had more shops inside and outside. It could definitely become a fun place on a Friday/Saturday night as there's more parking there than The Collection Mall.
The malls in Mexico are also elegant af. The thing with Pacific View is that rent is so high that a lot of shops are leaving and whoever the owners are are not investing in modernizing it. It’s had the same look since when it opened in the early 2000s. 😕

Ah I see, it does look nice during Christmas time with all the lights and all. They have a few game centers which I'll post soon!

Nice, sounds like it was a good time back in the day.

I appreciate the support! Will keep posting more videos about Ventura County in the future.

I hope more places come to the mall to bring it back to life!
That would be great! Especially during Christmas time.

I think it would help if they had more stores filling in and events during Christmas time. I think those would help out the area.

Lol... ❤😅😂
Beside Skechers I think the stores in there suck.
I'm hoping more stores open business there. There are a lot of empty spots available.

@@JovetteTravelsit should be community operated. Enough of outside businesses bloating our spaces.
Don't claim to be a fil-am if you were born in the Philippines
