I loved that you said at the beginning that you struggle to cut into pads sometimes as you just enjoy looking at them. I have a serious problem here. Sometimes cutting into beautiful paper just feels wrong. Needless to say I don’t make a lot lol. Beautiful video and very insightful for when I do pluck up the courage 😜
Oh wow Natasha! You’ve certainly given me food for thought in using up my scraps. I often overthink the process but you make it so effortless. There really are no rules with tags and you’ve encouraged and reassured me that I can just go for it and be brave. Which I will try and do. It’s frustrating when I’m pushing that pin in but things won’t budge. So I just pull the cap off and run it under hot water to dissolve the glue, then the pin pokes through easily. Such stunning tags Natasha 😊🩷
The Precision Glue Press is the answer to your glue problems. I held off buying it bc I wasn’t sure I really needed it. I was wrong! I put Art Glitter Glue in the empty bottle and use it with the precision tip, and I absolutely love it. It is totally worth it. These tags are great. I have lots of fun creating like this. Thanks for the inspiration.
I had my art glitter glue clog alot. I hated taking the pin in and out in between gluing during a project. So I took a small cup and put 2 wet baby wipes in it. So now when I'm in a crafting moment I just take out the pin, use the glue and put it in the cup tip down without a pin. Doesn't clog, doesn't run. At the end of the craft session I take it out of the cup and put the pin back in until my next crafty session.
Lovely cards! For the glue, I just move the pin up and down a few times, and that usually fixes it. When it hasn't, I've soaked the top in warm water for a bit and got a clump out with the pin.
Its recomended that everytime you refill your bottle that you clean the metal tip with water. Works like magic here in the hot dry part of the world ( Arizona USA).
What a fun video. Sometimes I use my left over pieces and scraps in my junk/art journal, and put beautiful pages together. Not thinking to much. Just glue things down and enjoy myself. Thanks for all the inspiration you share every week.😊
Wonderful ideas!! My tips get clogged sometimes. I soak the tips in water with dish soap and clear it with a pin or needle. I tried the matte medium and found it was too thick for me. I think it's what we are used to ❤. I keep my scraps by color in a office paper cabinet for 8 1/2 x 11 samples. I worked for a book manufacturer and they were getting rid of the cabinet. Lucky me it was free! I enjoy your marvelous ideas.😊
I took a tip from Jennifer McGuire. Been using a knitting needle cover point instead of a pin and have had much better success, especially with thick and/or quicker drying liquid glue.
Ohhhhhhh I just saw those again in her crafty gift guide I watched. U get like 50 of them for a little bit of money? I don’t need 50 of them tho. U have an extra one for me at all? lol
What an inspiring video . Those tags are so fabulous . I have a draw full of what I thought was rubbish, but now I am going to use it . Thanks for all your ideas xx
Gorgeous tags!! I had an unmanaged scape pile of just white card stock that I had to recycle because it had gotten too big. Now my colored/specialty papers I keep the very small scraps because I have small dies like butterflies and hearts I can cut out with the small pieces. I also have a small crafter area. Love your videos! 😊
I, also, have waaaay too many scraps, etc. I gave a box of things I couldn't bear to throw away to my nieces to play with. I have also made bookmarks. It's also wonderful to just LOOK at what you have! Lori
I’m horrible about keeping every little scrap, especially metallic paper or mirrored card stock. I do try to punch out different size little circles to use a sequence or little dots on my cards. I really need to get into my room and organize it again and go through everything. Thank you for sharing all of your ideas. They’re always great.
I too have struggled with the art glitter glue…I find the pin breaks after a while as well. I transfer the glue into a small, squeeze bottle with a metal tip and it works quite well. It will plug sometimes too but I soak it in warm water and muck around until it clears. I have given up on using the pin/metal tip in the art glitter glue bottle and just use the plastic tip with cover(I’ve seen you do that as well😊)for a larger project but mostly I just work from the little squeeze bottle that works well😊. The little squeeze bottle also seems to protect the glue from drying out😊. Hope this made sense😊.
So happy to see you making tags! I have spent many hours making mine, it's like therapy for me 😂. Yes I used up my paper scraps too, die cutting and using small punches on bits too odd shaped to do anything else with. But you have given me even more ideas to play with and shop for if necessary in the future. Thanks Natasha for your videos. ❤
I LOVE getting creative with tags, so it was fun seeing your ideas & process, they turned out amazing! As for the glue clogging, I' ve been using the glue press gun for most everything so no problems with it, however I do use my Tombow as well so when clogged I'll use the pin first and then give the bottom of the bottle a few good taps on my craft desk to help knock the glue down, lol! Hey, it works great for me! Thanks for another great video!
Beautiful tags. I always make my own but hey these are next level. I’m going to get onto it and have a stash to go as I usually make only when required. Wonderful ideas. With your glue bottle, do you store it upside down? I find that the emptier it gets the more prone to clogging and I’ve figured it must be to do with the amount of air in it. This may be true as in the beginning you never had the problem but now you do. I do like this glue. I dispense it into a smaller fine tip bottle, store all opened bottles upside down and no longer have this problem. Hope it works for you. 💕
Thanks for making this video, I love ideas on how to use scraps. Tags and handmade embellishments are a great way to use small ribbon and paper scraps, but I've also recently realized that making bookmarks is another great way to use smaller pieces. (The only limitation is keeping things flat.) So far I've been making them for my own use but I was thinking I could offer them to my local library if I have an overflow.
I’ve been chopping my smaller scraps into small squares and putting them in a container. I have made mosaic tags and cards this Xmas. They are super easy and very attractive.
Perfect timing, I started to make Christmas tags last night, started with the mixed media theme, and I was struggling. Woke to this video this morning, First a cuppa then craft time. Thanks Natasha 💕
I love love love making tags. I use up my Xmas card scraps to make gift tags. I put a handful in a zip lock bag & give them to friends & family to use. They love them. 😊
Gorgeous tags, Natasha. I'm terrible using up my scraps! There are some great ideas here. Hopefully, I can be a bit more adventurous and bust those scraps! 😂
Lots of wonderful ideas to use up so many different scraps. Love that having a pocket means you can write on a separate piece of card and recipients can reuse the tag with a new piece of card! ❤
Such an inspirational video. Your brain thinks like mine, I have gotten so many neat & doable ideas from your videos. I really appreciate your "you don't need a thousand tools or products" approach. Greetings from cold & snowy Canada 🇨🇦
I use an egg cup with wet tissue or kitchen paper scrunched up in the bottom, and I put my glue upside down on that. As long as your paper doesn’t dry out it has kept my glue nozzle from blowing up.
I made a pile of tags, but yours are way more creative! I also make very mini cards with tiny envelopes for presents. Thank you 😊 and now to make more exciting/interesting tags!
10:17…I don’t like my metal tip glue anymore! I was always good at putting the pin in also, just always always still clogged. So I went back to using my Matt medium also. Just loved that metal tip sooooo much!
What a lovely idea. I can’t wait to have a go at that! I have scraps in boxes all over the place waiting for something like this. Thank you again Natasha. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me!
I love these. I made a bunch as giveaways at a craft fair I was in about a month ago. They drew people to my table who would have otherwise passed by without looking at my craft items. I’m thinking of making similar pieces as one of a kind business cards.
I've used Art Glitter glue for years decanted into Tombow glue bottles. Used to clear nozzle with a pin but have now bought the Precision Glue Press and it's a game changer.
My absolute favorite way to enjoy some time crafting is to make small items with whatever I see laying around to use it up. So instead of doing it myself, I really enjoyed sitting in my recliner under a warm blanket and watching you do what I love.
I love these ideas! I have so many odd bits I’ve held onto because they are too pretty to toss, and now I will have a great use for them making beautiful tags like yours! Thank you for all the inspiration!
These are gorgeous Tash. I had a little chuckle though. I am the scrap Queen. If I use mine up, I will still be going at Christmas 2027! Thank you once again for your time and great videos.
Don’t you find that you “ get into the groove” in such sessions? It goes slowly at first, with a lot of second-guessing, then it just flows! A lovely collection of tags for some lucky recipients. I really like the idea of adding those affirmation sticker words at the end.
I really like the Art Glitter glue but spend more time cleaning that metal tip than I should. I cannot seem to keep it unclogged even though I use the pin. Love this use of scraps as we all have them and I dislike throwing things away.
The metal tip does that. It will need to be removed and soaked in warm water to unclog, but mostly you can stick the pin in and out a few times to get the glue moving again. ❤
I seem to spend so much time fiddling with it, cleaning it out, and sticking the pin in and out etc...i'll keep perservering though. Thanks for the tips :)
@NatashaFooteCreative yeah, it does seem to stick a lot. I prefer the Barely Arts Glue since it has a bit of wiggle room and dries pretty quickly and I've never had a problem with it clogging. Not sure if you can get it in New Zealand though. 🥰
For the glue, I always stand it upside down in a jar which has damp paper towel or baby wipes in it when I am using it. The paper towel just needs to be damp not wet or the glue becomes too runny. I use Lincraft tacky glue which is much cheaper and decant it into smaller bottles with the fine tips or you could just re-use your Glitter glue bottles.
Great scrap busting! These would be great for journals too. I use art glitter too and it does clog up in the tip. I transfer it to a smaller bottle that has a fine nib I get from Amazon and its perfect .
Laura Denison Designs has a video on TH-cam 'no plug glue toppers' of how to use narrow silicon baby bottle teats for glue bottles that stop clogging Natasha. You might find this helpful.
Loved this video tfs… as for the glue I agree with the comment below but if push comes to shove after years (10+) I just changed the silver tip not the pin. Thanks again
You also need to clean the pin. I forget and then eventually the glue got stuck inside the tip. Occasionally when you are done creating soak the tip for a bit to clean it.
I loved that you said at the beginning that you struggle to cut into pads sometimes as you just enjoy looking at them. I have a serious problem here. Love these gift tags Natasha!! And the fact that you're making them from scraps...WOW!!❤❤❤ Pocket idea on them=really cool.👍👍👍
The Precision Glue Press is the answer to your glue problems. I held off buying it bc I wasn’t sure I really needed it. I was wrong! These are wonderful Natasha! I especially love the idea of putting a pocket on the front, definitely going to make some of these. Thanks!
Natasha, I really love your inspirational ideas ! It really helps ❣️
Lovely cards! For the glue, I just move the pin up and down a few times, and that usually fixes it. When it hasn't, I've soaked the top in warm water for a bit and got a clump out with the pin.
Love the tags and a great way to use up scraps and etc and this probably be one of those creative days that can go all day lol but fun tyfs 💜🦋
One of the more brilliant ideas for scrap busting! Thank you.
I have a lot of scraps and love this. Thank you! I would like another video like this. 😊
Brilliant video, thank you! xxx💖💖💖
Those were beautiful. Thanks for sharing how you make them.
This was a fun video. Your tags are so cute. Thank you for sharing 😊🤗
Aw thank you, i'm glad you enjoyed it Cindy!
You are so talented, especially how you just throw random things together. Brilliant!! TFS💜🎨

Oh thats really good to hear! Glad we can find a use for it!
i spritz a little water into the glue to dilute the art glitter glue just a little. it flows well and still sticks well
Gorgeous tags!! I had an unmanaged scape pile of just white card stock that I had to recycle because it had gotten too big. A bundle of These would make a great gift in themselves!! Love it!
Yes, great thought!

I enjoy watching you deciding what to use and how they turn out so pretty.

I love doing tags for Christmas and getting rid of all the things!! Super fun

All so cute! Thinking of making one for each friend in my cookie exchange group!❤
I’m planning on making these of Christmas paper to dress plain gift bags
Very creative Natasha 💖

I love tags and love making tags. I am inspired to sit today and make.....you guessed it.....tags. Thankyou for inspiring, Natasha. 😊😊

I’ve been chopping my smaller scraps into small squares and putting them in a container. I have made mosaic tags and cards this Xmas. They are super easy and very attractive.
Such lovely tags and ideas 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍
GORGEOUS taga Tash! I love them all and am so impressed at how quickly you put them together.Thank you.xx

Perfect timing, I started to make Christmas tags last night, started with the mixed media theme, and I was struggling. Woke to this video this morning, First a cuppa then craft time. Thanks Natasha 💕
A teency bit of ispiration and we are away laughing! Enjoy your cuppa, and crafty time!
I use my scraps for die cutting. That helps quite a bit.
You have so great ideas! I will surely give it try.
I love love love making tags. I use up my Xmas card scraps to make gift tags. I put a handful in a zip lock bag & give them to friends & family to use. They love them. 😊

So many wonderful ideas!! Thanks so much!!

Beautiful Tfs ❤😊
Natasha thank you for all your lovely ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think it is a lovely way to use your scraps🥰🥰
Great scrap buster idea! TYFS 🌻
I made a pile of tags, but yours are way more creative! I also make very mini cards with tiny envelopes for presents. Thank you 😊 and now to make more exciting/interesting tags!
YES! Tiny cards, with matching envelopes are SO handy to have around! great idea!
10:17…I don’t like my metal tip glue anymore! I was always good at putting the pin in also, just always always still clogged. So I went back to using my Matt medium also. Just loved that metal tip sooooo much!

What a great video! So inspirational. 🥰
These are terrific. You really do have a gift!
Thanks for the inspiration!
My pin head came off pretty soon after I got it. Tried replacing it and the same problem. I bought the little silicone top and it works great! TFS
Lovely!!!!❤
So happy I landed on this video! I don't really do a lot of gift giving except at Christmas. I need to get busy! Thank you for the inspiration!
My absolute favorite way to enjoy some time crafting is to make small items with whatever I see laying around to use it up. So instead of doing it myself, I really enjoyed sitting in my recliner under a warm blanket and watching you do what I love.

how clever of a way to use scraps. I like all of them
I love these ideas! I have so many odd bits I’ve held onto because they are too pretty to toss, and now I will have a great use for them making beautiful tags like yours! Thank you for all the inspiration!
Great ideas tfs ❤
Love watching your process and seeing the final designs!

Great video!!! Beautiful tags!!! I am doing a similar project except my tags are Christmas tags. I am using upcycled cereal & cardboard boxes.

I loved the way you made all your sweet lacey pockets!!!!
I haven’t watched this yet though I know……. I just know it will beyond my expectations !
Have watched it now….😢Just as I thought perfect in every way 😊
Ohhh you are so sweet, thank you!
Nice tips
Cute ❤
