Yeah, that was a waste of a move. I get that the time limit put pressure on everyone, but this looked like the only game all the players could die. Every other game, the front man could just stop, but ppl would still have to get across the bridge. So unless they reveal the path for the final player, that dude's fucked.
It’s not dumb if you think about the purpose of the game. Some of them could help by dying, some refused to die to help others. The whole time when people were dying the rest of them were “it’s ok as long as it’s not me”. So his death was good storytelling. They just died fighting
