The crate is empty. He gives both the girl and the boy a brick to make them think the crate is full of them. If you noticed, when the girl tries to lift the crate, he puts his palm over the crate, making the girl [subconsciously] think she will never lift it more than Derren allow her. Listen him saying 'Put it up a little bit, this is far as it can go, you gonna drop it and now put it down'. This is a subliminal message transmited to the brain. The same applies for next tries. No magnets. The brain is the true magic.
the real trick is convincing people like you that that's what is happening.

He tells you all you need to know right after the trick is performed. Search for Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin's 'The Light and Heavy Chest'. It's just a very effective electromagnet directly below the stage.

It seems that way, but if you listen to the clip again you will hear him using carefully crafted words. For example, a classic Hypnotic induction to acheive the trance state ( and do not philosophise whether it exists or not eg some think Man U are Great, others think the opposite) would go something like this. ( Subject with eyes closed) " The more you try to open them the tighter there locking shut " And do not forget though these people ARE volunteers they are - de facto - " In awe" .

Sucks bec. with all the scammers & lies being spread around by the truth movement & spiritual con-men, I, oftentimes, directed people to your videos, since you've done your due diligence & had some massive production done.

I think i know how he did this. I don't think there were any bricks whatsoever in that box, .. he convinced them by mind power into thinking it was full of bricks. Hence, at the end, when he opened the box, it was empty.

It has a magnet and they're simply powering it. It's inside the box, hidden under a plate
No actors are used, it would be pointless. These methods are not new, as he is always pointing out, and just need to be learned and practiced.
None of these things are staged. There's no need to stage them. I was reading about this very trick last night, and as with most magic tricks a ferry simple idea............ Or is it? Maybe it's hypnotism or just the power do suggestion.
