  • Today I review the GILI Air Paddle Board (10'6) at a lake in Wharton State Forest in New Jersey, aka "The Pine Barrens".
This Paddle Board is a lot of fun, well constructed, and easy to use. Definitely good for beginner Paddle Boarders.

I'm looking to try this brand and you did a good job on giving every details about the board and the backpack, thank you. I really like the look of it and plus has multiple handles which very useful. Is the front has go pro mount? I am still debating if I should go with Giili or Bote, seems like made by same manufacturer as they are look very similar.

The board is still working great; in fact, because of how easy it is to fit in my car, I haven’t really used my kayak at all this summer!
There is not a gopro mount at the front of the craft though; I was using an adjustable tripod… I’m not familiar with Bote, but if it’s essentially the same thing, then why not?
One minor issue I have with it is that in the state of Pennsylvania, if you use public boat launches (and there are many), you need to display a current boating permit. They are two stickers that you place on either side of the hull; well, due to the folding and storing of the board, those stickers wear off quickly.
Next season I’ll put them in fishing license holders…

I live within the area myself ( Delran ) I’m actually in the market for one myself my question is do you think the 11’ would’ve been better? I guess depending on your height I’m 6’ and trying to figure out basically the right size board .. good video

I wondered that as well, but I'm really happy with this board overall. I still haven't fallen at all on it, and I've been on a river (not a strong current, but still a current), lake, and in windy conditions. I'm 5'11, 220 lbs... Now, if I were going to order a new one, I might try the 11 foot option, but I think it just takes some getting used to for balance and stability.
I spoke with someone on the lake the day of this video, and she said that every board she's been on has a "rocking" quality...
I seriously enjoy the board... the other day I dove off into the water to try getting back on the board and it was easy. So much fun on this board!
      Good Luck!

How has the Hilo board held up 1 year later?

Still in great shape, although the hose for the pump blew out while pumping the board, but it was an easy fix with super glue
