- Finally bonding the body down to the chassis! We also adjust the gas line to avoid kinks, start wiring the headlights, attach the driver's side door hinge, and cut out the rear windshield.

So exciting!!! I am a bit concerned about your gas line, though... It could easily get cut if something hits it (especially at high speeds)
Once I fill in the hole, there will be nothing in the same area as the gas lines except for some wiring, everything else will be closed off and kept out of the way
@@PittsburghVaydor if there isnt a nipple on the hard line. Theres a good possibility the line will pop off under load lel....
You may need to cut the hole for the gas line bigger, you don’t want the edge of the panel to chafe through the gas hoses
Or you can just put like a rubber grommet in there or something like that

I was going to comment about that also. I think theyll end moving the whole system eventually but some nice wire gas line would be great for all those bends..

Use 2 part glaze compound instead of rec putty. Evercoat body filler and 2 part glaze is awesome

My question is on the rear fender wells. Did you find it easier to glue the fenders to the vaydor frame first, then the g35, or the other way around? I have the roadster so I'm taking notes..
I found it easiest to clamp them to the inside of the kit, then lower the entire body with the wheel wells onto the chassis, then glue them while everything’s together
@@PittsburghVaydor okay l'll try that when the time comes! I see that you probably matched up the holes that you pre drilled on the g35, so thats how I will go about it.

I got them from Vaydor, but they recently sold the company and they won’t be selling the kits anymore

nice work man - i tried running my gas line like you but could not get good flow with all i have in my trunk so we ended up running it straight down under the car to the original pipe. essentially cutting the original tube even lower (under the car). Also dont cut to high on the upper part of the back window or you will see more of the vaydor headliner edge. Will fix that on mine this time around. - things you learn as you go.
yeah there's a possibility I might have to change how I'm running my gas line too, I hooked it all up today with the cap in the proper place and there are a few more bends in the tube than I anticipated, but I'll have to test it out still... and thanks for all the advice!

Dont mean to rain on your parade or anything but did you not seal up all the metal cuts with some heavy primer? If you live on the east coast you will have issues with rust and all that... I hope you plan on going back in and sealing up all the metal and maybe even grind it all down so it looks nice and clean?
I sprayed over all the cuts and all the other bear metal right before bonding the kit down, I didn’t film it since it was a pretty quick and easy thing to do

I did. I added up everything I could, and even talked to my local autobody and upholstery shops and the most I can come up with is 30k.
@@cvu21410 body kit everything 16k.. wheels and tires 6k, actually painted right 10-15k, car 3-6, welding. Tons of extra shit it all adds up. I have the kit
