"What do you do to de-stress?"
"Oh, the usual. Play with my dog, draw, play video games, and watch jellyfish swim with the sound of water in my headphones."
Trying really hard to get to the ten minute mark eh BBC
Gold & Silver VS Crisis & Collapse theres not even any ads lol nice reach
I was watching it and felt like it was weirdly slow, and then I went to speed it up to 2x, and I realised I had already sped it up to 2x!
honestly its super relaxing i wish there was a 5 hour version...
It's like ten minutes of jellyfish ASMR
The jellyfish facts were amazing in itself, but even more so in how relaxing the video was. Loved it!
They look like mushrooms on top of cauliflowers.
Or cauliflowers underneath mushrooms : l
Or cauliflowers in the side of mushrooms.
That water sound is just so satisfying to listen to
wiz lion Ikr
Sound of water in the video soothes the soul. Thank you BBC.
Amazing. From stingers to farmers. How life adapts to situations
That’s why they lived on earth for a long time
Humans can learn so much from animals.
@@TressCam1 uhm...
I wonder how long it took for them to adapt
Wow! They evolved to be filter feeders. Fascinating! That's why the water is so clear and the plants are lush.
Very beautiful
Superb. Wonderful images.... and so great that they are lingered over, without jabber or music.
According to most comments, people found it calming and relaxing. Perhaps it was the sounds we heard when we were still in the womb? I found it very calming too.
I wanna know about those fisf and that giant moon jellyfish that was there aswell
Yeah same!
@Arna Cook i have done research and as it turn out these moon jellyfish only appear large in relation to the golden jellyfish, ie the golden jellyfish is only around 5 inchs while, moon jellys can range from 2-15 inchs, so i would take a guess the moon jellys in this video are around 10-15 inchs, which is large compared to the goldens but not as "giant" as i thought but non the less an interesting read, so thank you for the suggestion to "do my own research" and i hope you learnd somthing new as well.
Who else is doing their own David attenborough voice impression while reading the subtitles? :)
HAHAHHA MEEEEE
When your stressed, sit, relax and enjoy the nice soothing sounds of Jellyfish Lake.
It's so amazing to swim with them, you can swim with them. And yes thats a tourism attractive here in berau, east kalimantan indonesia. You need to swim carefully to take care of them. Come and visit berau, east kalimantam, indonesia
@Dust storm C0Ming lmao it's harmless to human and in undonesia the disease only found in north sumatra which is thousand of miles away from this place, be afraid if you are a pig.
Very surprised to see a jellyfish turn upside down. Wondering how it "learned" to flip itself for food, and if there is any level of awareness.
Jellyfish are the ones that are upside down. Their relatives and they themselves when in polyp form, are tentacles up. As for this species' behavior, it's inherited instinct, not learned behavior.
Also, they have no brain and function entirely on basic impulse - can't navigate, can't respond to danger, can't escape if they get stuck. They're closer to being plants, behaviourally, only...faster.
The most advanced moment behavior from jellyfish is following food and swarming together. It’s not completely know if they swarm simply because of food concentration and sea conditions but they do move actively.
The water is so clear! 🙂
I could sleep to this video
Am I the only one who wants to strangely touch/hug jellyfish just because of the way they look?
The sound on this is awesome, very relaxing !
This is the reason why it is 10min long it is asmr
Jelly fishing, jelly fishing! We love jelly fishing!
thank you for the Satisfying sounds
What beauty and peace. Thank you BBC for continuing to take our eyes and ears to the far corners of the world.
Almost feels like asmr 😂😂
Wow!!! There’s a similar lake in Palau! I wish people at Coral Reef Center can study these as well to see the similarities in species, habitat, etc... it would be cool to see the results! Super amazingggg!!!!
Thank you so much BBC !
From 8:33 I see a gaint translucent jellyfish. Explain.....
JellyWhale
That's an illegal immigrant ...
Option A-it's dead
Option B-for some reason it dosen't have the sybiotic alge
Onion C-nethier of those
Aurelia aka moon jellies
My thoughts exactly. Looks like it would or does eat the other little jellies
do your best david attenborough voice when you read the subs XD
Me need to protect these creatures
Jeva Samy they are extremely common
I saw this at a huge dome-cinema in the 90's. One of many factors in my youth that triggered my interest in biology, science and so forth. Today im what some people would call a sommelier of sorts.
Apparently some moon jellies got trapped in there, too. They must still be eating their regular fare, while the golden jellies somehow took up the symbiotic relationship with the algae.
They look like the most fire buds ever.
That the jellyfish has survived millions of years without brains has given lots of hope to humans 😂😂
Jokes apart, awesome and marvellous video 🙏😇😇
Wonderful camera work just mindblowing 💙💙💙😍
If there was a jellyfish channel on cable tv the world would be a happier place. ♥️
BBC Earth beautiful works. I have swam with Jellyfish before and got Stung by the little ones (shape of coin).
The bond is real. Happy Valentines day♥️
I absolutely adore BBC Earth! my son and I watch everyday as of late. We love them all especially the water related ones. Your footage of the jellyfish was awesome you showed us every angle it felt like we were there. Keep up the good work all involved we look forward to many more years! xo I so believe we are addicted lol.
AMAZING.
Fantastic nature sounds without the damn music . Congratulations on an excellent video
This is the most calming video i've seen in my life.
Wow so Healing
Great video! Very calming and peaceful
Keep *Calm* & Stay *Cool* 🙃
Sadly many years ago I photographed a dead jellyfish on the beach, little or nothing left of it, after being pecked by a gull, but alive they're beautiful.
I enjoyed this very much
I hadn't gotten very far into this when soporific popped into my head!!!---And the over/under shot was freaky!
Thankyou for sharing!
I want this as a screen saver
The sound is so relaxing 🥰

Thanks for great video! So relaxing. My cat watched and listened for the whole 10 minutes =)
I can’t believe how they get by. Incredible the lengths life will go to strive!
ahhhh yes ASMR video
underwater jellyfish sounds ASMR by BBC Earth
A safe heaven for them to florish!
There are no predators, knowing how defenseless these jellyfish have become it feels a bit unusual.
So this must be what I fall asleep too
Why do these jellyfish sound like they are swimming on the surface of water??😂😂
beautiful!
4:28 looks like chicken with ranch in the middle👀
So cute 🥺
Wowowowoowowowowowowowowowowowowowow
It's so awesome !!!!
These videos are awesome. What brand of video camera/ equipment are used here? Anyone?
B&h camera company in ny
Cameras
I had the same question.. I do not know the answer to that unfortunately
I've been seeing that weird spam lately.
I wonder who's behind it. Regardless, deal with it the same way as all spam.
What a loony bin
Over one million jellyfish. The title begs the question, just who had to count these things? Is that a BBC intern job or what?
Natural finds a way
Very relaxing 😊
I know we criticize you guys for the 2 min videos, but this could’ve been one of them
Over time this will become its own species. It will have drifted so far genetically from their salt water counterparts they will likely look entirely different.
Arna Cook, I believe they mean it in a fashion that they won’t be considered Jellyfish anymore
The audio of this video is very relaxing
iam from borneo, that jellyfish soo awesome, you can visit and swim here guys🤗
Thads Amazing❤️
Thank you very much. good
golden jellyfish and moon jellyfish
Lake filled with millions of Jelly Fish? SpongeBob and Patrick wants to know their location.
i wonder, all those muscles contractions that they use to swish their side parts around must cost a lot of energy. that algae must be quite efficient at turning water and co2 into sugars. even when they're laying upside down on the bottom, they keep flapping. i wonder if they're stuck, or if the flapping is to push more water over the algae so that it can get the co2 it needs for photosynthesis
“....WITH ONE MILLION JELLYFISH!
But we’re gonna show you like 2 for the first half”
A jellyfish has fallen into the river in lego city.
ok.
very.good.
tanks.
Good to know. I didn't realize there were other lakes with stingless jellyfish. I only knew of the one in Palau.
A lost princess, who is far away from home An octopus sees her hair hang into the ocean and mistakes it for another Octopus and he falls in love he learns it’s a princess and agrees to take her home, and when she is safely home and they have to be parted, she cuts off her hair and ties it into the shape of an octopus, giving it to her new friend so he won't be lonelyin the dark empty sea The octopus was happy carrying the hair until the ribbon holding the hair together comes undone. Trying to grab all the hair the octopus unintentionally ties himself into knots. He strains to grab one more piece and bursts. The chunks of the octopus combine with the hair and come back to life as jellyfish this is where my mom says jellyfish come from
I can imagine dropping a thousand hungry sea turtles here...
There is an uncanny beauty to the way they move. Such a shame they're so unpleasant to touch!
These are pretty jellyfish
the guy who stopped counting after one million: you know what......
Excellent Video BBC Earth
🇮🇳🙂🙂🙂🙂
Amazing in terms of evolution although they are not the pioneer in that ability. To observe a phenomenon like this is another thing! BBC always!
Tantas? ! Qual a repercussão de tantas medusas perante as outras espécies?? Este lago é um paraíso para estas espécies estranhas e intrigantes...parecem de outro mundo!!
Sea turtle's paradise
That very large clear jellyfish looks like a different species from the smaller amber jellyfish. Can you clarify? Thank you for beautiful video.
Kakaban island, right?
so you can swim in that lake, no? since they've lost their sting
Yes you can.
هذا خلق الله فأروني ماذا خلق اللذين من دونه
This video is an ASMR one in disguise.
Can i change my diet like them 😂
How do you know they adapted from hunter to farmer? They told you? Lol. Relaxing video though. Love the ocean. Just beautiful. Relaxing asmr.
evovled from a single cell by pure unguided chance!! seriously
Good vid stingy on the facts tho.
