I love the talk about the Matador solo albums because I remember being 15 and being so into them and having so little money and having to choose and deciding to mailorder the Pollard "Not In My Airforce" LP. And yet I read an interview later where Bob said "the label tells us not to release so much stuff because the kids can't afford it. That's not true." It was so true!!! I wanted the first GbV box set so goddamn bad...
Poignant mention of the dual solo releases. Beginning of the end for this classic lineup. Lucky to have seen them a dozen or so times, with various bass players. Was Mitch in jail?
its great to see how rob reacts to the worst questions(by the inviewer. i would have payed the whole price of whatever shit fest they were playing at , just to see gbv teach everyone else how to do it!

It's always strange to see GBV in an interview like this. I'm used to only seeing Pollard drinking and wailing into the mic.
I love them.
They did belong on the main stage!
Does Greg Demos have any other pairs of trousers (pants) ?
They should have been main stage.

Best band ever
Fuckin' Matt Pinfield knew about GBV all along. One of the non-MTV traitors. Thanks for posting.
You are right...they did one in '95 for "WHFS Dave's Garage". This clip title has been corrected to 1996...June 1st, 1996 to be exact. Thanks.
Don't get me wrong - love GbV - love Demos' pants. The Pants! Saw him split them wide open in Austin. Greatness.
he is a dj on sirius radio channel 23? i think the stations called Left of Center it's the "indie" station
Like how Pollard mentions a Kiss relaese along with his own. Great times !!
back when MTV was Music Television!
Don’t kid yourself, it sucked then too
Was this the tour that Kevin got stabbed trying to buy crack in DC?
Looks like the WHFStival with GBV was in 1996, not 1995. Thanks for uploading all these vintage clips!
frank black interviewing guided by voices haha
where was mitch?
send in striped white pants

I think so, but were are too few of us. Should have been many more, WTF!
@satanspenis999 I was thinking the exact same thing.
@satanspenis999 no it isn't
Which Baskin & Robbins is Matt Pinfield working at these days?
10 albuns haha
Actually, I find Matt Pinhead to be quite the tool. He managed not to call the band GVB this time! Good for him.
me 2, was bad ass, much better than sorry ass No Doubt playing the main stage.
they were speeding hard.. hu ha.. at least the interviewer had done a little research..
