This new so called "director" is crooked as hell, just as bad as the embarrassment he replaced. He evades questions, ducks, filibusters, blocks, is aggressive when uncalled for, (as if he is hiding something) he thinks if he says 'its our fault' that means he gets to hide everything that happened, which was a coordinated hit job. A mistake happens to everybody, 20 mistakes in a row do not happen to anybody, that's not a coincidence. It was a coordinated hit job this is why nobody was fired, cause they did as they were told, this is why he tells us NOTHING because he doesn't want anybody to know who should be questioned. To hide a crime you hide the identity of everyone who coordinated it, hide, hide, hide. That's exactly what this crook does. This was done on purpose with the Secret Service working with the FBI and Homeland Security and the biden administration coordinating and working together to kill the ex-president. This is why this guy will never tell us ANYTHING. He will talk in generalities, he will take up the time with procedure, how it works, how its supposed to work, but he will never tell us ANYTHING about that day that matters. He will hide, block, avoid, and keep congress as much IN THE DARK as he possibly can. Corrupt director, corrupt agency at the top. THANK GOD FOR WHISTLE BLOWERS who are disgusted with these criminals running the agency.

You don't have to link communication if you just have one person with police radio in the command center who could tell secret service that there's an active threat. You don't need months of planning just to get one guy with a radio to relay vital information.

The AGR building has been called a "LE staging area", translation: feeding trough where local, state, federal LE stuffed their faces and refilled plates to stuff their faces again inside an air conditioned building, while being paid to actually be at a post in protection of a former President and the public. There are no pictures provided from inside the AGR building during the afternoon of July 13th, why is that ? Each and every member of LE that was being paid that day should be made to account for every minute of that day, including their phone calls, text messages, internet usage, 3-4 plates of food, snacks, smoke time, etc. and when they are found be be in dereliction of duty, they should be fired, their pensions revoked and they should be charged with accessory after the fact 3rd degree murder charges. This is the only form of accountability that will help to prevent such a complete failure from occurring again.

If someone is going to be in your areas of interest and you need to establish contact it's simple to establish a system that can be specific to the detail in question.

If you don’t have a C2 center set up then use one provided by the local agency, station a secret service radio guy and the mission commander along with any additional agents if other resources are being monitored.
You have your map layout, all positions identified, call signs identified, sector sketch’s, ETC. This is where all information flow happens and the ability to control the event happens.

Communications: after 9/11 a ton of federal money was give to local and state agencies for communications. The 911 commission found that one of the biggest issues was agencies not being able to communicate with each other. This money was meant to resolve that and was money well spent and utilized allowing fire service police departments, EMS, federal agencies, and other needed agencies to be placed on tactical channels for cross communications during large events or disasters.
This person either does not realize the communication resources available or they were intentionally not using them and misleading the senator.

I'm a little curious here. Couldn't the SS take one or two of their radios and LOAN them to senior members of the local/state cops on sight? Or couldn't the SS have one of their senior agents on site be LOANED one of the radios the local LEs are using in order to make sure the SS and the local LEs have immediate comms with each other. I mean, this may be a radical concept, but that way all the cops protecting the President would be able to TALK TO EACH OTHER!!! And since the radios would be ON LOAN, there wouldn't need to be a months long procurement process to get everyone in communication with each other! BTW, did you know that EVERY agency in the Federal government and pretty much EVERY agent in those agencies is authorized to carry a gun? Yup! Dept's of State, Labor, Agriculture, HHS, Etc., are ALL allowed to go around ARMED! Oh and that's not just the enforcement folks, that's EVERYONE!!! Sure gives me a feeling of safety to be aware of that! Doesn't it give you one, too?

Secret Service head refers to” the Donald Trump detail”. He has no understanding how many times a former President of the United States has run again, in this nations history. His comment by definition is insulting.

That is untrue regarding communication as that is the reason for command post where all communication are run through. This is done all the time there is not reason for loading radios with everyone freqencies COMMAD POSTS WORK WONDERS IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS AND HAVE BEEN USED FOR DECADES
