IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION: There is a calculation error in the video regarding the expansion time and the colonized planets. The problem is the following: although the generation of ships is exponential, it is not the number of available stars that you can find. This causes us to reach a point where we have spare ships; We lack nearby stars to visit. And for that reason, the ships have to go to more distant stars, which causes that everything is delayed more. This problem does not appear until the tenth round, so the first two expansion calculations shown are correct. The next two are those that present problems, since the growth stops being exponential, it happens to have a potential behavior. These are the calculations arranged taking into account these modifications:
20 rounds would be 33,510 colonized systems
37 rounds would be 212,175 colonized systems
And the whole galaxy? more time than it appears in the video. If we want to make the whole galaxy in approximately 900,000 years we would have to go to 20% of the speed of light. Once again, viable with the techniques we have discussed. However, the 25,900 years that we have commented on the video ... are insufficient to reach the entire galaxy, since only its radius is already 50,000 light years. For this reason, more years are needed. My sincere apologies for the confusion this error may have caused.
