Wow how great it was back in the day watching/ dancing/moshing to a band without a mobile phone in sight
Can't wait for their reunion gigs in a few weeks time!
What A Day to Remember and I've still got the t- shirt and it's still fits🤘🤘🤘
I remember being there, think it was such a great line up that year.
Couldn't go to these in those days but now having flashbacks of sitting in my room with headphones on listening to the full day. This was literally a couple of weeks before I started college, best time I ever had, great days, and stuff like this was my soundtrack to it. And between leaving school and starting college I was in hospital for two months, that was quite a year lol
I JUST LOVE THE ALMIGHTY I WISH I HAD THIS SHOW
Great band. If you mean you wish you had a copy of the gig, it's on the 2nd CD with their Powertrippin album (not the 2021 deluxe reissue, just out, that has other good stuff on it - check out earlier version).
Should be more shows, showing Pete,he was an amazing guitarist, look them to another level.
i was at the this gig..my first donnington...great band
Liam Bourke My 1st Donno too 🤟🏼
My first donnington too
Mine too
@@arejaycee5484 yep me too, addiction was so cool, pete fkin friesen
My first donnington too!
Back before it turned into Kerrangload
yeah there is actually an argument for having it condensed into a one-dayer again. There is so much shit at Download these days, I reckon a lot of people would prefer no camping, in-and-out, and see massive bands just in one day. There's enough camping fests out there already, Bloodstock, Reading etc
It’s a legendary performance at this stage. Awesome. I remember watching it on MTV as the footage rolled in, savage stuff. I read years after in an interview with Ricky Warwick that after Donington and their rise they toured America playing small venue’s opening for a Metallica Tribute 🤷♂️
bad manager
Remember this day like it was yesterday, 92 fuck sake . Was a great day very wet on and off , and Remember getting clouted on the head by a flying bottle of funny looking yellowish liquid , convinced myself it was apple juice . Loved it though .
Your videos are awesome! Thanks for posting 🤘🤘
Now my boy....Those were the days!!🤘🤗✌Fk...Feel old...I woz there! Nostalgia@itsbest.👍Still got "Soul Destruction" album cover painted on my leather !Oh yeah and back in the day when Tattoos were statements 🤔

Paul Ireland was there too. Although can't remember much lol xxx
Great band, great album, I was there too, brilliant times hope you've still got your leather, I've still got mine🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😂👍👍
I saw them plenty of times, Marquee, Town and Country Club and saw them lean their craft on the small circuit supporting Crazyhead, Fields of the Nephilim. Halcyon days. The last I saw them was at this gig at Donnington hitting their peak.
This shit kicks some serious ass!! Rock n' roll forever.
Ricky told in the interview that they played a week before in Mannheim and i saw them there. What a awesome gig they played. It was a great opener for Super Rock Mannheim.
Me too!!! They were brutally loud - and awesome!
Me and The Almighty were as you say, brilliant! My son & I saw Ricky and Co play at the Forum in Kentish Town 2 days ago. They are still as loud, tight and totally awesome as ever. Where did those 31 years go? Feel truly blessed to have now seen The Almighty with my son.
Fucking brilliant band saw them live
Theyblew the roof of the mandela hall in belafst every time the played totalty awesome
Que de souvenirs !!
Well "Stump Munroe" certainly lives up to the name!
Great Rock and Roll band here. Sold their soul to Grunge directly after this though.
Yes
Hands up who were there? Me! I was probably standing at the back, around the racetrack barrier. Tacking in the awesomeness!

Seen them id forgotten what a great band almighty were shame there not together anymore.
Oh they are lol
Best Scottish band of all time !!
That debut release was absolutely superb. The sound. Production. Vibe.
Too bad they went downhill....Ricky went into Country and Western ?
@@seagullpoet First three albums were great. Powertrippin' is dynamite. Didn't think much of the production on the first album though. Sounded nasaly and thin to me, but the songs were great.
Cool ! That’ll be my next CD purchase - for Summer cruisin’ 🇺🇸
Ricky is irish xx
Powertrippin (3rd album) and Crank (4th album) are both great.
They had the same vibe as the Wildhearts back in the day....
Good call, even The Wildhearts crossed with The Cult, all 3 are kick ass bands! 🤘
Это было круто😁🤟!
all fuckin almighty class
Does anyone know the name of the song at the beginning of the video, not Free'N'Easy but the intro song before that.
Roll The Dice - Wildboyz
@@patavium7646 thank you!
It's only taken me 31 years to find that out, lol.
Headbangers Balls
Before the shit music started hitting the festival, everything changed like grunge crap started, kerrang magazine forgot about the hair bands, download started to split stages, Donnington monsters of rock was the ultimate festival, now it's just noise
What is the song intro on 0:00

Did you ever find out the name of the song?
Roll The Dice - Wild Boyz

@@Rockchicbitch lucky guy

Left journalism and got in the property game the last I heard. That was 20 odd years ago though.
@@Hallionuk wow, thats diffeerent
That band fizzled out fast! This whole vid was dedicated to them?
Goes to show what connections & money will do for you...
What? The Almighty were active for nearly ten years and were very popular in their day.
And he's kicking ass with Black Star Riders and Lizzy now while you're sat on your ass getting fat xx
@@Syklonus They were heavily pushed in the "Alternative era" which was about 1991 - 1996, after that nobody really gave a fuck about them.
Loved the Almighty was at every tour from 89 to Crank tour then lost touch Went to this just for The Almighty everybody else a fuckin bonus.
@@Easun36 Oh wow, then 30 years ago I must have hallucinated everything.
Slayer blew every band of the stage
As good as GnR
Kinda like... a slightly shitter version of the Wildhearts...... Hmmmm.....
They sound more like Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction.
Lame in the 90s, lame today.
Great live band mate fuckin great shows they put on
Don't talk daft, mint band... 🤘🤣🤣
