I was so upset because his life finally started to get better and then all of a sudden they made him get raped in a school bathroom by bunch of football players. I was mad about this season already because they kind of made Hannah seem less sincere and Clay like crazy and Cheri became a whole different person. Bryce and basically the whole football team became this serial rapists and the school basically enabled them. This show went from realistic mistakes people could actually make to Hollywood crap.

They're just dragging this story line out (Bryce and Monty didnt get repercussions for their actions which basically diminishes the point of the season) for season 3 but I'm not sure if I even want to watch it if they renew the series.

i feel the same way. i just couldn’t comprehend in any way how montgomery thought that what he was doing was at all okay. i legit paused it and just cried for 15 minutes. after i finished the episode, the scene remained in my mind and i just am so scarred by it. it was so intense and painful and real and my heart just aches so much for tyler.

When everything started coming out you could see Clay’s take on her change and Zach never swayed. Also Tyler deserved better he changed so much and they just had to ruin his life 😤

That was not the right decision for the school or students, as Kevin learned from his mistakes not to let students slip through their fingers that easy. As someone who is an addict and has struggled for a decade, I can honestly say that Justin's arc was actually realistic. Esp the last scene of him seeing his past self and almost not using - then ending up using. I've personally been through that.
But am I the only one who just wishes Jeff never died? He had so few scenes in season 1, and I still love him for being nice and having common sense. Jeff deserved better.

Tyler’s scene was literally one of THE most graphic things I’ve seen. Not even gore sites get that graphic because its usually just pictures. Like... that scene is snuff level and was so shocking.
I agree with almost everything that you said except about Justin’s struggle with drugs. I loved how realistic it was. It is so hard to break away from drug use. Even when you have the best of intentions and you want to get better but it’s for other people. It will never happen. In the season he wants to get clean go Jessica and more or less for Clay and his parents. Multiple times he it so close to giving up but one of them pulls him back in. That will only work up until a certain point. You have to truly want to get better because you believe that you deserve better for yourself. Even though I would love for his character to get clean I think the writers did a good job of portraying a realistic struggle with addiction.
So the sudden change that Chloe did, (looking at Bryce and then said she gave him consent even though she was raped) she found out she was pregnant and decided that she didn't want the father or her child in jail for rape which is why she said she didn't know what to do. Also Zach was the best character this season, man his cute and fluffy side really shows as well as how Hannahs suicide really affected him
I also think Chloe's decision was based on fear. If she speaks the truth, then she will be asked to face up to the fact that she is a statistic, a victim, and she knows Bryce would walk away with a slap on the wrist. Nobody wants to believe they are a victim. If she did know she's pregnant at that moment, his parents wouldn't want anything to do with her or the baby if she pointed fingers. I'm guessing the current political climate had made getting an abortion a little trickier to obtain. The name of the game is survival. If that means sticking your head in the sand, so be it. If there were a season 3 I want Bryce's parents to take Chloe in and make him drop out and get a job... they may be rich but Bryce isn't. How satisfying would it be to see him pulling shifts at wally world?
I'm still actually very...well traumatized is a strong word but I'm still shaken up after the Tyler scene last episode. I don't usually cry during shows or anything just my eyes get misty but I really full on sobbed. It was so graphic and wow.

The thing with Bryce is, that's a reality. The show created tries to keep things real so I believe that is why there was no resolution. There could be in the future but they wanted to portray how the money and power Bryce's family has can have such an impact on his sentencing.

I think the reason why there was no resolution in season 2 is that the writers wanted to show that so many rape cases go without any real punishment. Also I think that Bryce's girlfriend didn't tell her story at trial because they wanted to show the effect an abuser can have on the victim (brainwashing type thing)

As someone who is an addict and has struggled for a decade, I can honestly say that Justin's arc was actually realistic. Esp the last scene of him seeing his past self and almost not using - then ending up using. I've personally been through that.

Tyler’s scene was literally one of THE most graphic things I’ve seen. Not even gore sites get that graphic because its usually just pictures. Like... that scene is snuff level and was so shocking.
I agree with almost everything that you said except about Justin’s struggle with drugs. I loved how realistic it was. It is so hard to break away from drug use. Even when you have the best of intentions and you want to get better but it’s for other people. It will never happen. In the season he wants to get clean go Jessica and more or less for Clay and his parents. Multiple times he it so close to giving up but one of them pulls him back in. That will only work up until a certain point. You have to truly want to get better because you believe that you deserve better for yourself. Even though I would love for his character to get clean I think the writers did a good job of portraying a realistic struggle with addiction.
So the sudden change that Chloe did, (looking at Bryce and then said she gave him consent even though she was raped) she found out she was pregnant and decided that she didn't want the father or her child in jail for rape which is why she said she didn't know what to do. Also Zach was the best character this season, man his cute and fluffy side really shows as well as how Hannahs suicide really affected him
I also think Chloe's decision was based on fear. If she speaks the truth, then she will be asked to face up to the fact that she is a statistic, a victim, and she knows Bryce would walk away with a slap on the wrist. Nobody wants to believe they are a victim. If she did know she's pregnant at that moment, his parents wouldn't want anything to do with her or the baby if she pointed fingers.
I'm guessing the current political climate had made getting an abortion a little trickier to obtain.

If there were a season 3 I want Bryce's parents to take Chloe in and make him drop out and get a job... they may be rich but Bryce isn't. How satisfying would it be to see him pulling shifts at wally world?
I'm still actually very...well traumatized is a strong word but I'm still shaken up after the Tyler scene last episode. I don't usually cry during shows or anything just my eyes get misty but I really full on sobbed. It was so graphic and wow.

-With the blonde girl who changed her story I think it was unfair of them to ask her to testify against her rapist who she cares about (kind of?) when she just learnt that she was raped although Jessica couldn’t do it (not that she should feel pressured to, it’s her story).

The thing with Bryce is, that's a reality. The show created tries to keep things real so I believe that is why there was no resolution. There could be in the future but they wanted to portray how the money and power Bryce's family has can have such an impact on his sentencing.

I was expecting the shooting to go ahead though, especially since the courts found the school not guilty. For there to then be a shooting triggered (punny) by bullying within school grounds, irony! But I guess if Montgomery had gone out that way, we’d had celebrated it and like you said in the video, that’s not the right way.

There are many and i mean MANY tv shows and movies with scenes way worse (I do agree is was disgusting and brutal.) But it's literally a show that touches on those kinds of topics, and stuff like that REALLY happens in real life. If you're too sensitive you shouldn't watch things like this.

I think the reason why there was no resolution in season 2 is that the writers wanted to show that so many rape cases go without any real punishment. Also I think that Bryce's girlfriend didn't tell her story at trial because they wanted to show the effect an abuser can have on the victim (brainwashing type thing)
