I call inferno ring ring of fire multiple times, oops Edit: a lot of people have been talking about the crosspath and 502. Initially, I said 520 because in most of the time the meteor would not be hitting targets that would allow all 1000 damage to be used making just capping out pierce at all costs still more worth it. It has come to my attention however that the meteor soaks through layers which is something I didn’t know. This definitely shakes things up and something to acknowledge but I still believe, and from what I have seen through playing expert chimps challenges with inferno ring, that 520 is better because the extra range is extremely beneficial, which also comes along with +2 pierce for the meteor. Take this as you will however.
520 only has 2 pierce total, it says on the wiki page that you showed at 1:31 and I also tested in game to make sure. Therefore, if you buff your inferno ring with p training and stronger stim, 520 has 2+3=5 pierce, 5x700= 3500 dmg. But 502 has 1+3=4 pierce, 4x1000=4000 dmg. Gwen's heat it up also gives more pierce, making 502 deal more dmg in the best case scenario.
Something to consider damage-wise is also the extra range. Usually that's not that big of a deal but in the inferno rings case where it has hyper concentrated damage around it every bit of range matters. It's like Sauda a little bit.
Yeah, it's interesting because 502 tends to have the stronger meteor attack when given a bunch of pierce buffs, but the radial attack is still significant group dmg as you said.
Some well deserved support! Also I would like to add to the video that Gwen isn't a must pick even going with inferno ring IMO. Inferno ring with some support usually clears late game quite easily so I prefer using a hero that has more power in the early/mid game like Churchill or Sauda to help with the save up.
I think we'll be seeing more of this with Tier 3s by all accounts, since Tier 3s are supposed to have survival instead of payoff involved. To its credit, Hot Shots can hit both Leads and Purples--RoF loses Purple damage and pre-Hot Shots doesn't have Lead damage.
@Graceclaw I do know how you feel, considering Really Big Bombs does have 3 Damage hits to work with, bypassing Black and Zebra layers when hitting Rainbows. I think the important thing is to push for showing the tower's potential and merits while overcoming and maybe even mastering its critical weaknesses.
Great video! I think hot shot spam is also really efficient BAD damage since it can do 2 damage per tack. I know I've seen ISAB use it for that in the past.
As I mentioned later in the video I was hating on hot shots a little too much. However it could be viable and have some decent uses it is still, when compared to pretty much everything else, worse and a lot more bulky which isn’t very good if you are trying to patch some things up.
I also heard that the inferno ring can be very good to also get the 2 megapops achievement, anyways, thank you chom chom! Edit:I accidentally called the inferno ring the ring of fire lol
@@Jdnfjdksndj I didn’t know that, either way I still much prefer having the extra range. Does make much more of a case for using 502 though as I never considered that.
I can't wait for Tack Zone so I can finally find out why people like it so much. I hate it, but clearly I must be missing something that everyone else is doing that apparently makes it so good.
Well it is a bad upgrade on its own but due to its fast attacks with lots of weak projectiles per attack it has an insane synergy potential with buffs. Alchemist top path, village top path, hero buffs from gwen and pat, bloon debuffs from embrittlement and super brittle, glue strike and glue storm, cripple moab, you name it. On top of that the tack zone and those buffing towers have conveniently small upgrade steps so you don't have huge save ups. In short: it's strong when paired with the right buffs easy to use and yeah it's satisfying.

@@pichuyang3865 that was when you would alch buff the Comanche and put the commander itself in the corner where it can’t attack. That had to have been like 5 years ago jeez. Anyways I definitely remember doing that far too much.

It is still a fiery ring. Hoping the Paragon is called the Volcano.

Yes, this is one of the two reasons why 520 is frequently better

I just started my bloons youtube channel, you are a huge inspiration to me, well as isab and dabloon, thank you for posting awesome videos!
Inferno ring my beloved ❤❤
Thanks for the support. Enjoy this 3 episode early. Going hiking tomorrow but I will be back at it after that :)

Surprised to hear all the bashing on Hot Shots, it's a pretty efficient spam strategy, absolutely shreds blimps.

there’s no way I’m just now finding out that u can put water towers in the military spot on encrypted
I never would've known that either-
Have you never in your life opened the military tile and seen the very obvious pool of water that cracks open from it??
Paired ROF's helped me with getting Axis of Havoc on Park Path with Gwen.

me in 3.0 "inferno ring is the best" me in 44.2 "finally half correct"
How many years has it been now since the entire index became rof themed?
I would marry the inferno ring.
thats all.
have a great day.

The pierce of 520 doesn't matter as much when combined with pexpertise village
The range is a secondary factor that is massive, in addition you get +2 pierce which is great
what is the site/app you mentioned that calculates when you need to start saving money for a monkey?
WE BEATING RANDOM TOWER CHALLENGES W THIS SERIES🗣️🗣️👍
Isn't 502 superior when you give it a lot of pierce buffs? At least on paper it seems that way.
Range and +2 pierce increase the damage and the 502 will only benefit if the meteor hits a zomg which isn’t always the case
@@Chom_Chom Why is that? I mean meteor damage soaks through layers.

If you use so many pierce buffs on inferno ring, why do you still go for 520? Wouldn't 502 (with all these buffs and a midgame carry) be better?
I made a pinned comment on this

damage buffs are completely insane on it, as with pierce. It's cheap, a classic, and can be a powerful engine
It’s really just SATISFACTION and the fact that it can get buffed so much by things like Alchs and Ice. Feels crazy to thing about the amplifiers

A lot of us are also probably still holding on to a bit of nostalgia from before it got nerfed into the ground
chom chom calling literally everything cool lol (except hot shots)
Don't use inferno ring that much
It's too expensive
Glaive lord with less price is better
