three pawn forks over the last 3 games...which is fine, because you'll easily see these in the future now. the fact that there is still room for tactical improvement = 2000 very soon. I myself am plateauing at late 1200s trying to get to 1300 lol. Learning a lot watching your vids tho!
Damn, what an excellent example of resilience in game 1! This is why you can never take your foot off the gas pedal in chess, even when you have a big advantage
I dont know if you read the comments or not but in the French I would recomend playing f4 before bringing your f knight out. This way you have more space and have the goal of pushing f5 in the future
Your "full transparency" comment is what I like to hear. HONESTY! Your main Game 1 error was that you played an unfamiliar opening variation. Then, analyzing on camera is extra difficult. You made a great admission that you didn't feel "sharp", so playing is extra dangerous (although you're trying to reach that 2000 goal). I would've recommended NOT to play the 2nd game, if not for the QUEST! So, 1-1 out of 2 games is solid & if you feel like you learned something, then you're AHEAD. What you need to do is play fewer opening variations. Become a "specialist" & then, pound them game-after-game, to get GOOD at the openings you like. Make your openings ROCK SOLID & then, seek smaller improvements. My Dad's Rules made me a Chess master & it ain't easy, as you are seeing! I hope that this helps. Well done effort, sir!
game 1 was beautiful, it really shows how far you've grow as a player and signals that 2000 is on the horizon

Yes, sir!
I agree 100%.
As you can see...sometimes the correct chess advice does NOT contain a specific chess move in it!
