First Wild Camping Experience, Vanlife In Ireland

- After three months of hard work Claire and I are finally able to enjoy the fruits of our labour. This is the start of our trip along the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland, and our first experience of wild camping. I have tried something slightly more experimental with this video by not adding any music, while editing the video I noticed all the different sounds that where captured in each location and I felt like they added to the atmosphere and experience. Brilliant video
Love watching how other vanners got on with their trip around Ireland. We originally planned to cover the Wild Atlantic Way in 2 weeks and ended up staying for 2 months because it was just so beautiful. Good video mate. Would love to do a more basic version of wild camping in my wee kia sportage, less kit, just a sleeping bag a wee gas cooker and some tinted rear windows. Awesome lol.. Subbed!

Shower? Just pop into the sea behind you with a bar of soap and you're sorted for the day!
By the end of our trip we where using rivers or whatever, just took us a little while to get used to...
or even a small lake bring a bowl to pour over your head for a wash down brr its cold or stick a shower curtain around your back door with magnets and get a garden sprayer with warmer water in it sit it in the sun to take the chill off it !

Wild camping is walking or cycling with a tent on your back not taking all your home comforts with you ! Would it not be better to contribute to the local economy?

hi m8 whats you van mileage im looking for something similar for the summer enjoy yourselves get a little dog and watch them followers increase
we got the van at 110,000 and have since put another 8000 on the clock, haven't had any engine problems just had a bit of welding to do to the bodywork, if you are looking for a ford just be aware of rust as it tends to be the bodywork that will let you down before the engine does. We have 3 not so little dogs, so we will need a bigger van to be able to take them all with us haha
What’s the app for park by chance?
I use a number off different apps like, park4nite, ioverlander and a few others I didn't find one I could solely rely on. I also find it useful looking on things like trip advisor as well

There is a possibility, although I am not sure, I got it though a private sale in the north
It's same colour as my one. Not a Ford colour
Nice one, are you in Dublin council? Yeh I knew it wasn't a standard Ford colour, it was originally white and then was resprayed the blue colour. Its tricky enough getting the colour match to do touch ups on the paint job.
There's a strong smell of Prod from these people.

haha I know, this was our first experience but we are much more used to it by now
