Kirby is a real talented character they are all so. Super talented that you can't believe that all this talent was in one show! Wonder why the people involved with award shows never ever gave them a chance shame on these fricking creatures never gave these great bunch of talented men a decent chance cause this is the only show that had everything, TALENT, EXCITEMENT, COMEDY, SERIOUSNESS, ROMANCE,TRUE TO LIFE CHARACTERS,AND TRUE FACTS OF LIFE, REAL THINGS THAT HAPPEN IN LIFE
At least the other British guy (without the 'stache) seemed concerned for Hanley's group. His "The Yanks are outnumbered" was clearly an implicit suggestion of going back.
Neither the sights nor the bi-pod is ever used in this show. Yet the Germans with the MG-42 seem to always use their sights (but never hit much.) Oh, well, it's only a show. If you want realism, watch Band Of Brothers.
The film shown and narration by the Brits major grossly exaggerated the impact of the V-2 rocket. About 9000 civilians were killed and some damage was done to civilian targets, but the V-2 had very little impact on military targets. One bombing by the Brits on Germany accounted for more explosive power than all of the V-2 warheads launched.
15:13 Voluntering for this mission; Kirby ( Jack Hogan ) was a bit out of charackter, usually he playoed the tough, more egoistic one of the group. I wonder if Littlejohn or Caje ( Dick Peabody and Pierre Jalbert ) were not available. One of those two figures I had written in such a script.
And that is why Monty was offended, not to become CiC of the Allied Forces in Europe. However,Ike was the right man,as he was extremly diplomatic. And US forces rapidly became the larger force. Also funny to know that British officers only had a stick at the beginning of the war, though they quickly became armed. "There is a piece of dirt at the end of the stick!"."Not this end,Sir!"
Hanley and his men were on a mission acting on the orders of their superior officers to retrieve that device and return it to their command. I would not have relinquished possession of that device to the major, unless I was unable to complete the mission myself or the major was in a better position to succeed in delivering the device to the allies.
@@joshlonewolf4412 to be more accurate he took his life 40-something years after the series ended. Not saying you're wrong it just sounded like he did it a week later because it was canceled.
Evidently, you have never served in the military. There is a thing known as "chain of command." Unless someone is in your chain of command, you have no obligation to follow his orders although you do have to demonstrate proper military courtesy.
So, where did the electricity come from for the projector? And that light overhead looks ridiculous. Also, the film goes on and on and on. Obviously padding for a script short on dialog.

❤amo 💕 COMBATE es mi serie favorita con RICk JASON 😊

Impossible that Kirby would ever hit anyone. Worst "anticipation flinch" in the history of firearms!

Kirby should have said" little john is hit again....."

The fire bombing of Dresden?
@@mf7482 I was thinking some of the film might’ve been from Dresden.
All HS Should show this in History CLASS. Mention of V2 and the Great American Von Braun (yes the head of NASA and maker of V2s that did the damage
Un super serie
I agree, Kirby is a stand-up guy when the chips are down. He's the kind of guy that I would want in my foxhole when the shooting starts.
ABSOLUTELY! But I would've liked all of them in a fox hole with me!!❤❤❤❤❤❤💙💙💙💙💙💙💘💘

that guy with the hairy wings over his lips priceless
james jcazzman They really stereotype the British. Makes me laugh !
It's Hanley. The guy pulled rank the same way the rescued pilot pulled rank. It's TV.
Jolly good episode, what?

Jim Nesta Sure Was Sorry To Hear Rick Jason, Lt. Hanley Took His Own Life After The Series Ended! :(

Part of that plane looks like a F5 (P-38) but the tail section with the elevator looks like a P-51?
The Maj and the LTA argue about who should get the box when the Germans are coming.
Where's Sgt. Saunders? In the past several episodes, it seems it's either Saunders OR Hanley.

at 3:09, what is Kirby trying to do with that BAR?
needs to learn to use the sights
What is the film showing -- our bombing in Japan? V2's hardly had an effect on London.
Can you believe that mustache??!!!
Whenever Brits are portrayed in American films they come across as ludicrous! I doubt anyone ever spoke like this.
Well at least he combed it in his second scene....
Yo hablo castellano muy bien
Best
Had a Kirby in 1968

Looks like a Hawkman from Flash Gordon
I had the limey figured for a kraut. Too fake
The British officer should have used another term when asking for a cigarette, a term that is considered offensive today.
Maybe you are being presumptuous thinking he was asking for a cigarette. ;-)
What's "luck with rainbows" mean. Is it a british saying??

Not one I know
Kinda strange here a british officer trying to pull rank on Hadley...I don't see how he could do that. Hadley should have told him to eat my shorts.
The major is a superior officer in an allied campaign. Just sayin …
'' we'' ya ok ..... later out in the woods .....bang bang the fucking britts dead .. sorry old boy , pip pip and all that . spit / pee on his body and leave ..
A really bad stereotype of what British people are like.
