- Just before Christmas, an Ohio couple was surprised by their seven adult grandchildren showing up for a sleepover. NBC News’ Peter Alexander has more on how the video of the reunion has sparked a heartwarming trend.

That is heartwarming. To the adult kids out there who still have their grandparents around, take advantage of every moment to spend time with your grandparents. They're to be cherished and you and your grandparents will love every minute of it.

I absolutely loved this. It's the best Christmas present for grandchildren statewide to have which would be being blessed to have grandma and grandpa. I miss my grandparents everyday.

@@fynkozari9271 I think my sentence is easily misunderstood. I’m crediting the grandparents for raising great parents which resulted in these great kids!
I lived with my nan for the last 2 years of her life and those were the best years. I had the honour of caring for her with my mum.

Even if this becomes another ice bucket challenge of trendiness, it's a good thing for the grandparents who I am sure very rarely see all their grandkids at the same time. I loved my grandparents a lot and me and my teenage siblings would often drive two hours to spend the weekend with them. And grandpa always put us to work on something. Lol. Grandpa died in 2003. Grandma died in 2007. Still can't believe they're gone.
Especially since it's such a fad right now to ghost parents and grandparents.
When she said the grandkids are priceless, I know exactly how she feels. I can’t stop thinking of my babies every day.

After living with years of covid and shut downs, not being able to see your grandparents. It is genuinely awesome to see so many people remember our grandparents are the reason why we're here. If it wasn't for them having her parents we wouldn't be here. We need to love them more now than we ever have because we won't have them here for long.

Thanks for sharing, my sisters, cousins and I are now planning this for our grandma. She’s the only living grandparent we have and we are lucky to still have her. We’re all grown and busy with our lives that we often forget who was there for us at the start. Thank a gain.

Me too. All four passed away many years ago. I talk to my grandma, and I've asked her to show herself too me. She never did. I love her so much that I would give everything too see her one more time, and talk to her. Sadly she never did. I miss her so but so much. Sorry. It's so painful. She was my everything. 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭

My grandma passed in 2022 after my mom passed in 2016 so i know the two of them are happy and at peace to be together and i miss them both every day

Please call and hug your Grandparents whenever you can. One day they won't be there any you'll realize how important they were. I still haven't properly mourned my Grandpa, who was my last surviving grandparent, and I miss him dearly!

Such a sweet video. My oldest granddaughter sent me a text after Christmas and told me how important I was and how much me loved me. I couldn’t believe it. Her uncle, my son has terminal cancer and it’s very sad. Her text reminded me why I have to go on after my son dies. Such a gift to me.

To all the families so blessed to have many let alone get along… what a gift and forever treasure!!!! 🥰💜😱 While I was raise to believe in this kind of family, my Dad was hateful and distrusting and my Mom was a wreck afford 20 years of misery following divorce of my Dad. My Dad never lived his grandkids over himself. Bless the families that are loving and kind. Even my mother in law was selfish and hateful yet her Dad and Mom were beautiful, loving people 💜

My then 90yrold mother was surprised by arrival of 6 of her 8 grown grandchildren (early 20s-30s) who turned up from all across country almost a yr after grandfather died. It was a whole long weekend. They planned it all themselves.
I wish my grandfathers and my grandma were still alive.
