Ladakh deserves statehood to ensure better governance, development, and preservation of its unique cultural identity. Implementing the Sixth Schedule will grant Ladakh more autonomy in local affairs, empowering communities to protect their land, culture, and resources effectively. Another argument border security should be ensured by center as it is bodered with two hostile neighbors China and Pakistan..
but dont you think this might hinder international relations having china in the east and Pakistan in west. It is already a disputed region. negotiations can be done instead

We have to Obey what the constitution of India is trying to Acknowledge
As per their demand of inclusion in 6th schedule, it should be observed whether their autonomous organisations is performing well or not in different matters. If they do so and there is chance that upon placing under 6th schedule, they can manage their society efficiently. Govt. should do so also when fullfilling other criteria.
These two Gujarati leaders are ruthless. Can't we see what they are doing with people of Manipur? What they did with protesting women wrestlers? What they did with protesting farmers? How they allowed Gangaputra Professor Agarwal to die while he was fasting to save Ganga? They just don't care.
Modi does not believe in democracy either. He broke 8 elected state governments with money and ED/CBI power. You must see how he brought in Electoral bonds which is probably biggest scam since independence, he appoints election commissioners of his choices by changing rules and bypassing chief justice of India, he keeps PM Care fund out of ambit of RTI, he puts opposition leaders in jail on filthy reasons, I can keep listing. These are not the signs of any democratic leaders, it's autocracy at its best.
Don't rely on their words now. Expose them.

Namaste Sir, in 2020 I did Chadar trek in Ladakh. In winter the river gets frozen, so people come to trek there. We were group of 12. There was official Inner Line Permit. But they still charge 25,000 per person for that trek. Guide, Cook and porter charges were different. It's so unfair. They said, if you don't pay this charges Army won't allow you to stay there. But that was not the case. There were no camps to check. They manipulated us into believing their claims. While returning I ask Army and they said there are no such charges that we take.
Tourism at such places need to be regulated. As they consider Indians as outsiders and charge heavy amount from them.
I hope someone from the government will understand our problems. Indians who get treated as outsiders in their own homeland. Jai Hind !

Ladakh geographically is really too fragile.
Infrastructure on the death bed of nature and oxygen is a big problem. So some steps are necessary to be taken .
But in concern with representation based on population. May be ladakh want yo take its stand effectively.
This is my personal opinion in place of increase in representation, the law making process of these types states or uts shall have special process or some policies like mandatory scientific and geographical permission .
We are targeting net zero and reduction in global warming at least we should stop harming environment rather than curing it.

By granting special provisions to ladakh, we can ensure constitutional safeguards for minorities, protect their unique culture, promote participatory democracy in national planning, and address climate induced risks. Additionally, this would help harness the demographic dividend in ladakh. However, it is essential to acknowledge that frequent hostilities from neighbouring regions, as evidenced by the galwan valley clash near the border area, and organised crimes in Jammu and Kashmir, underscore the critical responsibility of the state to provide security and safety to its citizens
I think even the Internatonal Relations have to be considered in this aspect....if granted a full statehood, there might be a chance for conflict between the state and centre regarding the construction of roads especially in the border areas. Considering China's expansionist strategy, there shall be an efficient and quick decision making mechanism...so in this aspect, statehood is difficult. But wrt the tribal rights and autonomous district, I think it would be wise to include it under Sixth Schedule... A balance can be achieved to secure territorial sovereignty, and at the same time, promoting and protecting tribal interest..

Transboundry regions are very sensitive to centre for development,infra,edu etc but for this 6th schedule is not an only option..
A very important question is, what reasoning did Home Ministry give for rejection of the demands? We do need to know the other side of the story. These demands are valid, if negotiable.
ladakh should include in 6th schedule to safeguard the very fregile environment , it should done as soon as possible
