I believe in you!!! 😁Try pouring again, but thinner layers BY COLOR FAMILY ONLY. Like, blue, teal, and green together, then the next layer up pink, purple red, the next blue red purple, etc.... I cannot tell you how many canvases I made an absolute muddy mess our of... but like I said, I have complete faith that you can do this. ❤

The "bad" side is bad because all the colors blended into a really ugly and muddy color. If they were going for a silvery look, then it would be good. But the reason that side is the bad side is because all the colors got muddy together, when the point of this was to get vibrant colors. The "good" side is good because the colors didn't become dull, they still retained their vibrancy. I get your pov and I hate the saturated green personally, but from a hair color pov, I agree with brad

Color theory! He knew it was gonna happen. I think he was just having fun at that point, but if he would've kept his pinks and purples away from his greens, this could've been super cool looking.
The complimentary colors (specifically green and purple) gave a lot of grey/mush. If it was only warm colors or only cool it probably would have been much better.

@@dreamcuddle ???? Obviously it's just a gimmick. It's done to get views on Instagram and not to be a functional hair dyeing technique. But that doesn't mean that you should deliberately make it look worse by not mixing the colors correctly and choosing pigments that look terrible mixed together.

Honestly it would probably look pretty dope if you used different types of blues on one head, or different types of pinks/purples. You know? Just like one color family.
S Kenzig I was thinking that the whole time as well. As an artist who has dabbled in acrylic pours, that thought kept popping up. That and maybe watering it down even more... but I’m not a hairdresser and have never dyed my own hair, so I can’t speak to that side of it. I’m sure watering them down to the proper pouring consistency probably washes out the color enough to the point where it’s not even worth the trouble
Yeah I was thinking the same thing ... and it would have helped to dilute it and not waste all of that .... and maybe like not choosing 40 colors and sticking to like two or 3 max
@@emmajochum8682 watering down haircolor makes it really sheer and not vibrant. So, the watering down + the combing technique is what made this Manny queens hair look so strange and pale.

Or at least colors that mix well together. If he has stayed in the pink/blue/purple spectrum it'd be cute. Or red/yellow/orange. Part of the appeal is that these colors blend a bit, so adding green next to pink will just end up kinda gross.

Chrissie Leigh noooooo! Ugh! I dyed my hair with a pastel blue and it ended up turning green, as they always do, but it was so hard to get out. Had to bleach twice 😱😱😖 blues and purples are the worst!
I tried the teal one on my (already bleached, it was my mistake to use it) ends, it took a YEAR to go away. I'm not even kidding. I used it in April 2017 and in May 2018 I had to bleach, cut and dye my ends because I still had green spots in them. After that I used the pastel blue and, although it washed out after less than 2 months, it still had time to turn the worst green shade ever (I hate green, I was so tempted to cut it lol)
@@sprinkles_sims6683 I used Colorista's Semi Permanent Color for Burnettes ( 4-10 washes) Teal on my medium blonde/light brown hair back in September 2018, it washed out to pale green, and is still clinging to my hair.. But at least it is better than Splat. A few years ago I used Splat's Semi Permanent Lusty Lavender on my bangs, and the color wouldn't go away; even when I dyed and bleached over the color multiple times. I had purple turned light pink bangs for over a year.

I can think of so many things that could have been done differently to get the results he desired. 1. Thinner layers 2. Don't pour out of a bowl, use a squeeze bottle or a bowl with a pouring lip. 3. Know color theory! Use colors that will blend nicely beside each other. 4. Don't brush it so much! The more you brush, the more it mixes. 5. Preserve the layers better. Do this by smaller layers, less brushing, and maybe finding a way to clip your plastic in to where it doesn't slip out. I'm not trying to drag him, but I thought this would be obvious to someone who had studied and completed their beauty school training.

S Kenzig I was thinking that the whole time as well. As an artist who has dabbled in acrylic pours, that thought kept popping up. That and maybe watering it down even more... but I’m not a hairdresser and have never dyed my own hair, so I can’t speak to that side of it. I’m sure watering them down to the proper pouring consistency probably washes out the color enough to the point where it’s not even worth the trouble
Yeah I was thinking the same thing ... and it would have helped to dilute it and not waste all of that .... and maybe like not choosing 40 colors and sticking to like two or 3 max
@@emmajochum8682 watering down haircolor makes it really sheer and not vibrant. So, the watering down + the combing technique is what made this Manny queens hair look so strange and pale.

Or at least colors that mix well together. If he has stayed in the pink/blue/purple spectrum it'd be cute. Or red/yellow/orange. Part of the appeal is that these colors blend a bit, so adding green next to pink will just end up kinda gross.

Chrissie Leigh noooooo! Ugh! I dyed my hair with a pastel blue and it ended up turning green, as they always do, but it was so hard to get out. Had to bleach twice 😱😱😖 blues and purples are the worst!
I tried the teal one on my (already bleached, it was my mistake to use it) ends, it took a YEAR to go away. I'm not even kidding. I used it in April 2017 and in May 2018 I had to bleach, cut and dye my ends because I still had green spots in them. After that I used the pastel blue and, although it washed out after less than 2 months, it still had time to turn the worst green shade ever (I hate green, I was so tempted to cut it lol)
@@sprinkles_sims6683 I used Colorista's Semi Permanent Color for Burnettes ( 4-10 washes) Teal on my medium blonde/light brown hair back in September 2018, it washed out to pale green, and is still clinging to my hair.. But at least it is better than Splat. A few years ago I used Splat's Semi Permanent Lusty Lavender on my bangs, and the color wouldn't go away; even when I dyed and bleached over the color multiple times. I had purple turned light pink bangs for over a year.

I can think of so many things that could have been done differently to get the results he desired.
1. Thinner layers
2. Don't pour out of a bowl, use a squeeze bottle or a bowl with a pouring lip.
3. Know color theory! Use colors that will blend nicely beside each other.
4. Don't brush it so much! The more you brush, the more it mixes.
5. Preserve the layers better. Do this by smaller layers, less brushing, and maybe finding a way to clip your plastic in to where it doesn't slip out.
I'm not trying to drag him, but I thought this would be obvious to someone who had studied and completed their beauty school training.
