    Hi Glenn and Vicki. My wife and I met you when you arrived at Glenreagh the other day. I have been following your journey on TH-cam for a while now and recognised your setup as soon as you arrived. You truly are TH-cam celebrities in my eyes. You are positive on screen and in person. Thank you for recording your travels and sharing it with us. Tony and Michele.

      It was great to meet you Tony and Michelle. Thanks for such a humbling comment. We do what we do because we love sharing with others. What a shame we didn’t get to chat for longer. Hope to catch up again one day 😃

    I am enjoying you videos. My wife and I can relate. We have a cattle property in Nth NSW and the stress and responsibility over the last 5 yrs has taken its toll. Drought, bushfires, COVID, floods, cattle market slump....there seems to be no end. We are seriously considering following your example. It looks like just the tonic for a bit of stress relief. I find a lot of value in you talking about how you came to the decision to travel, how you went about it and things you have leaned along the way. Keep the vids coming!

      It’s a big decision, but if you can possibly make it work, your health will be so much better for it! Thanks for the feedback, glad to see we can get people thinking about travel. Take care ☺️

      We need to remind ourselves how much knowledge we have gained over the years. We know this is the info that people want to hear about, so we will try and make a point of doing more of these types of videos in the future. Thanks for asking 😃

      Yes, it was horrible. Everyone was scarred, I hope nothing like that ever happens again. It was the worst 5000km drive ever! Thanks for watching, and enjoying our videos 😃

    Thank you for sharing the link to this video. Very interesting and answered our questions. Wow! You have both faced many challenges. Hope your Son has recovered, how traumatic for you . We are on our 3rd caravan now, we have faced cancer 3 times, retired at 60 years, thankfully we had super. We enjoy short travels in our van, have not done the full lap. Also cruising is our pleasure. Good luck to you both, keep your videos real, so relatable.

      Thanks for asking, our son is much better now. You have faced your fair share of challenges too. That is what makes the decision to travel as much as possible, while you can, an easy decision. Thanks for watching our adventures, and safe travels to you too 😃

    Sounds like you are fortunate to have each other! I can relate to work related depression and anxiety and had to leave teaching when covid hit, unrealistic "expectations". And I almost lost my only daughter one year ago while she was visiting her father in Florida, forty five days in the hospital, eight in the ICU. I read somewhere when one excepts that life is hard every day, a good day should be treasured. You both are an inspiration. Best health to your whole family. Thank you for your real life views, Laura in Rhode Island , USA.

    Hi, I'm a fellow Novocastrian and I've just started watching your channel. I like what I've seen so far and it will be a good resource when we finally get on the road (hopefully in 6-12 mths). What were the reasons you went from an Everest to a Ranger after the bingle, other than the 3.5t towing capacity? Thanks ....

    • @happycampersaustralia
      @happycampersaustralia  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching! The Everest was initially chosen as a family car. When we left for full time travel the boys no longer travelled with us. The Everest is a more comfortable car, but the Ranger is more practical for touring long term. We stayed with Ford so we could transfer some of the accessories, and Ford can be serviced easily Australia wide.

    Smart move. We work so hard. Time to enjoy Australia while u a healthy enough
    I think people change once something scares them. I wanna leave. I just dont have the set up yet. Im hopeful by my 50 i can do this. 7 years to save

  • @robynlee6092
    @robynlee6092 ปีที่แล้ว

    We are thinking of doing the same and possibly taking a year off. We are new to caravanning, about to buy one. Being on the road for so long don’t you miss your friends and family? It must be hard to stay in touch. How do you maintain friendships from your local community?

    • @happycampersaustralia
      @happycampersaustralia  ปีที่แล้ว

      We catch up with friends and family each time we visit home. Regular phone calls too. Phone service can be intermittent in the outback. Now we have Starlink it is better, but before that, we just told family we could be out of service for a period of time so they didnt worry about us. Good luck with your planning 😃

    Hi I'm 42 female with 2 kids and a man. I have a small unit and some savings in the bank not much. I want to travel like U guys. I plan to do this when the kids get a bit bigger. I think renting the unit would be good
    I work 35 hr weekly
    I'm only worried about weekly pay once I stop working
    I feel stuck their because I have no passive income
    Thinking using my super cash when I'm older.

      If you really want to do it, you will find a way. You don’t need a big rig, lots of people travel with small set ups. Best of luck!
