This is a perfect example of why I love this band. The smoothness of the segues in the jam, omfg. Jon Fishman is a beast here. And Page is stellar, as usual and I just love it when he works on the Clavinet. The Cactus bombs Mike drops. And Trey, on what I consider one of the best-in-tone guitars, the "Ocedoc", this is one killer Tweezer..And let's not leave out the unbelievable Chris Kuroda master of lighting, damn this is awesome.

Definitely the highlight of the show for me SAT night. I saw a lot of VERY happy faces around me. Probably the best "Tweezer" I have had the chance to see & hear in the 83 shows I have seen going back to 1994. Thoroughly enjoyable show from start to end. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did.
+Brian Donahue I actually went to the Big Cypress show and don't specifically remember the Tweezer from the show. I'll have to go back and dig it up and listen again. One of my favorites ever is probably the 11/17/1997
+James Mcbrain Red Rocks in 1993, I was wowed, Phish playing at Red Rocks, they made the big time... huge leap from where they were playing in '89 when I caught my 1st show
Q: how does one cover a Phish song? A: play as if your life depended on it I don't know how else to describe this band...they are incredible. The album version is awesome jam in itself, and to turn into this is great. Underappreciated perpetual music machine is Phish! Love it
Won't you step into the freezer Seize her with a tweezer Won't you step into the freezer Tease her with a tweezer It's gonna be cold cold cold cold cold Won't you step into the freezer Please her with a tweezer Won't you step into the freezer Please her with a tweezer It's gonna be cold cold cold cold cold Look who's in the freezer Uncle Ebenezer
people always crack jokes on Phish so I've never really listened to them. I don't know if I'll be buying any albums but their concerts look fun as shit.
Phish isn't really about buying albums but more about listening to concerts or jams like this. There is tons of free phish online on websites like phish.in or relisten.net
Why are all these Deadheads so upset about Phish? "Not the same magic as Jerry," "The lyrics are meaningless," I don't understand how that could hinder you from enjoying this band. I love the Grateful Dead, but if I wanted to get the feeling I get from listening to the Grateful Dead I wouldn't be listening to Phish in the first place... If you drop your expectations and set your egos aside you'll be pleasantly surprised
Walter that is a bold statement my friend. To each their own...phish give me futuristic funk vibes while the dead is much more aesthetically pleasing when their deep into a dark star or other one. But phish just brings the fuckin YAMS.
SwiftMintyDeath I think it’s more the scene than the music if ya know what I mean. I no that’s the case for me. It’s like the love of brothers & sisters is lost to a point that it’s just that feeling that was once there. The thrill is gone thrill is gone away.
Anyone upset how they didn't peak it at the end? This tweezer is absolutely amazing and beautiful but at the end Trey builds it up but where's that orgasmic finishing touch?
+dopeerthandope I thought Trey and Page did this after their bluesy back-and-forth. The last minute is a little chillax, but that is OK because it came after 21 minutes of pure bliss and was the 1st song of the 2nd set imho
i used to worry about how much more phish we had to look forward to before they hang it up... i think it's safe to say they've still got a hell of a lot left in the tank
Fall 2013, Parts of Fall 2014, Halloween 2014 and Most of 2015showed us they are still at the top of the game. Trey says they are firing on all cylinders right now. This Tweezer confirms that statement.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Mike Gordon is as underrated of a bassist as, if not more so than, John Paul Jones. All due respect to Jones, of course, but when I look at lists of the “top bass lines in rock”, I never see Tweezer in there; that’s both sad _and_ shocking.
Thought this version (and run in general) was ok. Nothing compared to many of the shows this past Summer when Trey turned into Zombie Jerry. Blossom 15 Tweezer is "The one" when it comes to 3.0 imo. I think 2016 Phish thus far has been a disappointment. I hope Summer 16 changes this.
To each his own. If you like pumpin rock shows with slow phunky grooves and incredible peaks, Phish is the band... If you want boring noodling with some drums at the end, well the dead is for you ;)
+Adam Grossman it's all subjective adam...all subjective. I would like it better if fishman slowed down a lil. More space to create funkier shit. He drove the whole ROCK jam. I'm not a Rock jam guy.
Well played is well played .. you are grading based on preference not on performance. I like funk as much as the next guy but listening to a glorious Trey jam where he is confident and taking risks (2015) .. and succeeding .. well I'll take that any day of the week .
One of the all-time great Tweezers.
Oh man, I can't wait to see the look on those little Eichmanns' faces when they hear this crunchy groove!
Vunderbar un klut la cepe bon clever!!!!
“No, Chef; I can’t let you sacrifice yourself!”
“I didn’t volunteer!”
I'm gonna eat those tasty faces!
Crunchy earlobe crisps ahhh...
One of my favorite peaks. Everything from around 5-10 mins
This is a perfect example of why I love this band. The smoothness of the segues in the jam, omfg. Jon Fishman is a beast here. +Dave Linehan The Tweezer at Y2K WAS Killer as well ,,,BIG CYPRESS'

+Brian Donahue I actually went to the Big Cypress show and don't specifically remember the Tweezer from the show. I'll have to go back and dig it up and listen again. One of my favorites ever is probably the 11/17/1997
this is killer , but my favorite tweezer is red rocks in 09!!!
+Dave Linehan Dave - I have also been seeing shows since 94', and I agree, this is the best live tweezer I've heard. What a band.
+James Mcbrain Red Rocks in 1993, I was wowed, Phish playing at Red Rocks, they made the big time...
huge leap from where they were playing in '89 when I caught my 1st show
I've heard good things about this tweezer...I'm confident of the upvote I just gave, even though I haven't started listening yet. :)
Trey's dance at 3:45 is so great. Gonna use that at Vegas
Q: how does one cover a Phish song?

My band and I agree this is just an all around amazing show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice drumming on this one, especially near the end in the long guitar solo.
my new favorite tweezer! yesyesyesyesyesyes
smoking a ton of weed brought me here and phish definitely doesn't disappoint
you always know the heat is on when they come out with a 2nd set tweezer opener.
MrDenver97ghost The 36 min tweezer opener this past year holds this comment still very true 👌🏽
Pinnacle of the run for me
Holy shit this has everything
Also the quality of the audio here is sooo good
Best Tweezer, ever.
SICK
Loved it!
great call and response "conversational" ending
this tweezer is FAF
#1 tweezer of all time. Let me know otherwise.
12/30/19, 12/29/18, 12/2/95 are probably the ones I revisit the most. But damn this is fire.
I am going to the trey anastasio show with vulfpeck at red rocks on may 31. SO excited.
EPIC
Won't you step into the freezer

Uncle Ebenezer
Mike drops a bomb at 12:52. This jam is pure bliss.
Best set of the run IMO. Love the 'What's the Use' tease at the end....
This show was the best of that run.
some truly great Trey faces in this
such a good Tweezer
love it
those particle lights that outline each individual behind the stage r topnotch
people always crack jokes on Phish so I've never really listened to them. I don't know if I'll be buying any albums but their concerts look fun as shit.
+busa89
you gotta go man, you have no idea
+busa89 Phish shows are some life changing shit, man.And you don't need to worry about buying albums. You can get plenty of Phish for free.
Phish isn't really about buying albums but more about listening to concerts or jams like this. There is tons of free phish online on websites like phish.in or relisten.net
I own all of their albums..They are wonderful, especially on vinyl.
the concerts ARE fun
phukin phat phish show! yeeaah mang!
anyone else notice hood kid at 20:40???
Just came here to post that comment :)
8:51 - total frisson

Phish trumps the Dead musically. lyrics wise not so much

I like both. It doesn't make me right or wrong. It's just opinions folks. Stop caring.
...don't really care
Did Cheese ever say anything about getting inspiration from this song for Outside and Inside? It sounds so much like it at some points.
definite possibility.
This music is like walking on water ..
+bluesman385 It's modern day alchemy with instruments.
Right!? 4 minutes in you’re floating to the rest
Jesus disagrees
Sweet scarf, Mike!
Well. That was pleasent :)
3:40
Lauren Hanson nice ;)
this tweezer is an absolute ripper
Yeah, this is pretty Darn nice nice phishy phishy.
Yay!
Fish is on fire back there on this one. Great Tweezer!
I've listened to alot of STUFF STONED, but Phish takes the cake ;)
Phish can blend musical experimentality with emotion unlike no other group
Anyone upset how they didn't peak it at the end? This tweezer is absolutely amazing and beautiful but at the end Trey builds it up but where's that orgasmic finishing touch?

That progression that kicks in at 8:xx something into the 9's is insane. Full on.
T-shirt Trey is where it's at
Bliss
"Won't you step into the freezer?"
😎😎😎
My new favorite Tweezer
Why was Phish playing on 1/2?
They can still Jam, vocals are a little weaker due to age but U gotta accept that. Sounds great wish I was there.
Thank you for helping me discover Umphrey’s McGee (like thanking your EX girlfriend for prepping you for the One).
Hahaha I was an umphreys fan first. Came to phish, now nobody compares to them.
I have no recollection of this or know WTF I was talking about…so business as usual I guess. 🍻
Y2K Was the All Time Bomb,,,,,Big Cypress
ya
freakin cruising man.
Desert island with these guys or Nickelback. Hmmm.
Don’t see anyone holding up their fucking phones. Nice to see for a change.
Live rock peaked here
I met Jon Fishmans son on Omegle lol..
I didn't know Sam Harris played bass
Or Ben Stiller!
Sassy Tweezer
Who were the 46 bimbos who disliked this?
Philthy
Lyrics like the beat...reptative, no Dwayne Almond no whipping post
Randy Ellis Duane Allman
#Bernie2016

I didn't know Cardi B had childern with Bob Dylan?
Would love to see some footage of that dirty ass sand that followed this masterpiece
nice bluesy sound not same magic as Dead Jerry etal.
Yummy.
The Satan double double Satan blaspheme partridge in a pear tree slam drip drizzle liquid trouble eyes savior jam.
Uncle Ebenezer Scrooge...

Freezing cold take
UGH! 22 minutes......NO THANK YOU. Not on that many drugs.
UGH! Is correct...... not nearly long enough
Only have a 3 minute attention span for a song?
All I seee is socks with Sandles , pot and free love..Im out
Grateful Dead called: They want their idea back.
Esteban Rincon Saw the Dead with Jerry 16 times (thinkin you didn't) Apples and oranges.
Not really. More like Granny Smith and Macintosh. They're both jam bands, with devout followers.
Esteban Rincon Umm...WRONG! Fake news.
_News??_ WTF?? I think the contact high from those concerts have turned your brain to mush. LOL
To each his own. If you like pumpin rock shows with slow phunky grooves and incredible peaks, Phish is the band... If you want boring noodling with some drums at the end, well the dead is for you ;)
Might be the biggest rip off artists ever.
The whole song has one line.
+Paul Lorenzini Phish lyrics may suck, but for me its all about the jams.
haha. u are a salt truck
gotta love the trolls.
Genuinely the stupidest comment on a board full of them. Phish is extremely, completely original. You have no idea what you’re talking about.
This is terrible
Fishman needs ta slow down. I give this tweez a 5 outta 10. Rushie rushie.
+kaleidosoundz at their age, the faster the better.
+kaleidosoundz you should troll Tswizzle videos or something .. Tweezer was spot on live and now watching on replay.
+Adam Grossman it's all subjective adam...all subjective. I would like it better if fishman slowed down a lil. More space to create funkier shit. He drove the whole ROCK jam. I'm not a Rock jam guy.
