- How do you prevent a pop-up emitter from clogging? A lot of pop-ups have a bar going across them. The leaves and debris get stuck on this bar and it builds up and clogs the pop up emitter. Then as all the debris collects inside the fitting, it will end up literally clogging your drain line.

First, I hate pop up drains.
However, I have 6 of them in my yard. 🤦♂️
This looks like a much better design that allows for better flow and passage of non-water debris.
