The point of owning a house doesn't make you rich or wealthy Unless your able to tap into the equity of the home via a sale (capital gains) or using the equity within the home to invest in another asset class or your renting out the property (cash flow). Just "owning" a home doesn't make you wealthy at all. That was Grants point.

In Grant's book "sell or be sold", he bought a house that he lived in for $8 million dollars and sold it for $18 million dollars. I would likely not only accredit it to his good sales skills, but also to the fact that he said he would constantly be studying the real estate markets as well. Read books, study, and take MASSIVE action!
