    Weights to build muscle is key when your metabolism has stalled. Even wall sits, planks, and squats a couple times a day helps. More fiber, less sugar, 10000 steps and the weights. I bet you'd see weight start coming off. Also, you need to try to maintain muscle for bone health as you age. Apps are just using your information - no truth in their info. at all.

    Yesterday I got to finish the painting for my gallery show, I got to go for a morning walk, I got to snuggle with my cat, I got to go and sit with my 15 year old son and husband at five guys burger joint and have fun conversation. I also got to relax in a tidy house because I set a timer and decided to put things away only until that timer was done. And it was enough. Yesterday I helped my son and husband finish loading brush from a work job cleaning brush for a neighbor into a big trailer and also cut back a bunch of plants in my yard to add to the trailer. Yesterday I got to bring food and groceries to my mother. Yesterday I tried playing my first video game because my son and husband were playing theirs. Yesterday I joked around with a group of old friends via text.
    You’re right, Karen it feels wonderful to write all this !!!❤❤❤
    And it makes me realize I had a much fuller day yesterday I had thought ! ✨🍁

    I learnt somewhere that if you crunch up the parchment paper it is easier to lay out. Just passing something I learnt on. Game changer ❤😀🇨🇦

    You could freeze your herbs in olive oil in ice cube trays. Easy just to throw in recipes.

    I treat home making like a job, because it is. My husband gets a lunch break, holidays off, days off, he stops working at a certain time, etc. So I do the same thing at my "job." I also do a power hour (seen here on youtube) All this helps me get all my work done efficiently, as well as make time for myself. Plus I schedule days such as, Monday is errand day, Tuesdays are housework, Wednesday is my day off etc

    This was a fun video with a nice mix of things. I enjoyed watching you prepping peppers, drying your herbs and cooking the broth. I saw the photos from your apple picking trip and it looked like such fun, glad you got to do something you enjoyed.
    As for me, I’ve had a really lazy day today, just reading Sinéad O’Connors autobiography (I was a big fan of hers) and watching a couple of YT videos, plus catching up with friends in a few FB groups I am a member of. Tonight I am cooking chicken risotto for dinner. Last night I enjoyed having a three hour telephone conversation with a close friend who lives in another part of the UK from me, in which we arranged to meet up soon for dinner. The day before I had an hour long telephone conversation with a friend from the Netherlands. So it has been a very chatty weekend.
    Regards, exercise I think a lot of these apps don’t appear to be that good. I do however, use a chair yoga app, which I have found really beneficial. I do it three times a week for an hour. You use light hand weights and those strength cords to exercise, and most of the exercises are seated which makes things easier with my CFS. I used to go power walking for half an hour everyday, which I used to enjoy, but unfortunately it isn’t an option for me at the moment.

    Apple picking sounds like fun! Finding sales to plan menus around is awesome! I love the idea of planning something fun! I am trying to do this. We have had rain from the hurricane for several days here where I am in Tennessee. East Tn has been hit very hard with flooding. Prayers for them. Have a blessed day!!❤❤😊😊

    Thank you for the prayers regarding hurricane Helene. Its original path showed it was going to come straight over my area but it veered east and all we had was a lot of rain and some wind but nothing severe. I have family on the east coast of Georgia and in North Carolina. They had it way worse. I’ve been able to reach all but one of my uncles. Praying that he and his family are ok. ❤❤

    I learnt a long time ago to be kind to myself.. And have no guilt about those days when I want, and are able to binge watch a tv program, have lunch and a catch up with a friend.
    I work full time and my children are all grown but being kind to myself re-energise the batteries and sets me up for the next challenge.

    I started training with PJ (Fitness with PJ - here on TH-cam). And I´m really enjoying it and allready seeing results. She specialized for women over 40. I want to implement 20-30 min walks every day - we´ll see how that goes. 😅

    I work for Hannaford and our corporate headquarters is in North Carolina and on Friday our entire server crashed because of the hurricane.. it was a nightmare 😭

    I got to have my grandbabies this weekend-but I have them every weekend- single parents both whom work weekends-I make a gluten free diet - I have celiac as an autoimmune friend of lupus- am making hubby a heart healthy diet and grandbabies food -I am blessed to be able to afford all these different foods with todays prices- I have to practice gratitude or I am easily overwhelmed by life - sounds funny but truth

    I like the way you make your lists. I do one too, mostly a day when I have to also "brain dump" when I have many things I have to remember. I also do a month list of chores. October will be a lot of winter prep of outside tasks. Thank you for your videos. They are such a blessing to me as we navigate this crazy world.
