Thank you so much for the Margaritaville suggestion! I am one of those frequent cruisers who says “I’m tired of Nassau. I’ll just stay on the ship.” But it looks like their day pass costs less than the average price of an excursion. I will be going on my first Virgin Voyage in Nov. we aren’t going to Nassau, but I am sure I will be visiting that port again on a future cruise.

I had a great time but my room smelled like cigarettes the entire time and it was a filtration issue because every level on that spot smelled that way. Got a free bottle of wine, but feel like for the price and on a mostly empty ship, they could have done better. Met a lot of great people.

So maybe the Valiant Lady. Your food looked different from others I have seen. A reminder that food can be subjective as there is a correlation to palette, flavors, textures etc. Oh Margaritaville looks awesome. Thanks for always showing us what cane be done in ports. Oh and thanks for your straight down opinions I did not feel pressured either way. I truly appreciate that.

Water in the cabin...so simple yet so overlooked by the other cruise lines. I'll not be booking Virgin as I have a teen at home but I'm sure they will push Celebrity n Holland to a better level ncin a few years I'll see you there. Until then I'll be at the Virgin Hotel in San Francisco.

Pay per drink! You can open a pre-paid bar tab (put a deposit amount down) and use that to pay for drinks.. which is really nice because you can "legally" share and buy drinks for others too! Prices are very comparable to other cruise lines / city pricing.
So funny... I have many tattoos and piercings.. most people would chicken out over a tat vs. nose piercing... tats are permanent and you can always take out your ring.. tats hurt more too.. GET ONE.. so fun!
I just got my nose pierced 3 days ago. It's not that bad. You should get one when you get home. I am curious about you getting a tattoo while on a cruise since you need to keep it clean and dry. How did that work out for you?
Oh nice! I’m strongly considering lol It was really easy! We got it on the last day, so that helped a bit… but they used a protective covering (like a second skin) and it stayed on for 5 days.
Its an individual experience vs sitting at a table with a bunch of people, you can choose to pair your dinner with cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks or nothing at all. also I think the test kitchen is a little more experimental with the food (molecular gastronomy) - kinda like Wonderland on Royal. Hope that helps!

The appeal is the lack of children and underage people. It looks nice but this is one of the positive reviews I’ve seen .. I kinda wish I could have seen more of the unique outside areas on the ship.
Virgin Voyages changed my life and a lot of my thoughts about cruising... My final thoughts are I think you should sail and give her a shot!

How do you get to Margaritaville from the cruise port? Is it within walking distance? Taxi?
Its only about a mile from the port, so it is totally walkable! If you don’t want to walk, you can get a taxi as soon as you dock. :)
