I almost went with EGO for their string trimmer but a lot of people rated the Milwaukee quik-lok just as good. I saw the shaft design and the wiring going around a pivot point at the middle connector where the screw was missing at the store and didn't like that. I got the m18 blower free with my trimmer and was surprised that with the 9.0 it really worked as well as a corded model. These cordless outdoor power tool have really come a long way and having no garage or shed at home, are a lifesaver.
I have posted this before but will say it again. a little over a year ago I moved from gas mower and corded blower and string trimmer to the Kobalt 80 volt mower, string trimmer and blower Ok 80 volt was maybe a bit of an over kill but I love them. It is so easy and time saving to get the yard tools out and work I now just cross the drive way and do my neighbor's yard as well. Thanks for the video guys.
Gotta love ego. Own the line of ego outdoor equipment they do stand behind their tools but like ridgid you need to have it serviced at HD tool rental. Great investment like milwaukee. Sold off all my gas/oil lawn care equipment and replaced it for ego batterie equipment. Thanks for the great video Vince and Nick.
I'm still thinking about getting an Ego chainsaw just for trimming trees around our property which we do like every other year or whenever we feel like branches are getting too low
Ya i have that blower and it works great along with mower and trimmer BUT i wish i had gotten the one that takes attachments. Ive needed a branch trimmer, edger, etc
I have the backpack blower... my dad has the one you have... you got the right one ... the backpack blower may be a tad bit more powerful... but doesn't give you full range motion ... like for example blowing snow off the roof of the car... the new professional grade ones do... but their price point is to high for me personally.
Hi Guys!!! I was leaf blowing today with a corded leaf blower. Ughhhhh!!! My cord would keep getting wedged under car tires on the carport. Leaves would snag on the cord. The connection point between the extension cord and the leaf blower would hang on table legs, etc. of patio furniture. That stuff drives me crazy!!! LOL! Maybe I need to join the cordless leaf blower VCG gang! Have a great weekend everybody!!! :-)
@@link6397 The TURBO is bull boar and it wastes the battery. I have the 575 model with the full range trigger only and I can run it on 80% or 90% speed and it uses less battery. It is impossible to run the 585 at 80% speed. It is 0-60% speed with the trigger and 100% with the TURBO. That's why returned the 585 and kept the 575.
I own the fuel gen2 it’s ok for small jobs that ego looked a lot better. 18 vs 56v maybe ain’t fair . It might be time for Milwaukee to make a double battery blower.
Which battery did you use? I used the 9.0Ah and got similar to corded performance out of it. Mind you a gas powered one will work better most of the time.

Cool video. I’m surprised that blower kit didn’t come with the rapid charger. Have you seen it? It’s huge with a big ass fan to keep it cool.
A few hrs left today to pick up the ego 580 on Home Depot website for $289 including 5.0 battery and charger.

I wish EGO would get rid of that stupid TURBO button.. It serves no purpose. Just have a simple, full range variable speed trigger.
