One of the most common mistakes hitters make is trying to lift the ball...
The result is the dreaded upper cut swing. This promotes lifted or fly balls, which are the easiest for the defense to catch.
In this lesson, show you how to break the upper cut habit immediately with a classic drill that every player will benefit from.
Thanks for watching and I hope to help you much more with your game in the future!

It looks like when you get in contact with the ball, or just before, you are kind of flicking your wrist or arm? Is this the case or does it just look like it

      Might be just after contact?

Maybe this is good for little league or high school players, or even college players using metal bats.

I do not see professional hitters hitting this way. Can you show clips of professional hitters swinging this way?

Actually big leaguers do swing down at the baseball. It doesn’t look like but they are. You can go to a cage swing how he’s demonstrating and it’ll still look loopy but nope. Hands go down to the baseball and finish up to finish strong. It’s like golfing. You swing down and finish up in golf as well. It’s not an uppercut

Well no mlb players feel like they are swinging down, but in reality they don’t.

      Cody Bellinger

Here is Bellinger in slow motion. His bat is on a slight upward trajectory when he hits the ball. There is no way his bat would hit the lower front tee in the “Upper Cut Instant Fix” drill. This advice is a joke. He is teaching batters to chop at the ball.
