for some reason having a female narrate the trials and tribulations of a man makes the moment feel more like a part of history… i imagine a documentary where she just goes over the most sad parts of a man’s life
I know this is an older video, but I still love how well it was made it truly resonates with me. The concepts are still applicable in Tekken 8. At the moment, I'm facing a challenge in the game. I’m currently in the Bushin rank but struggling to reach Tekken King due to gatekeeping, which has been quite stressful. Because of this, I’ve taken a short break from Tekken to relax with a different game. However, I plan to return soon and tackle the challenge of ranking up. Thank you for sharing this video it’s truly inspiring!
This is exactly my experience this is my exact experience trying to get to garyu in T8. My rank isn’t nearly as impressive as emperor but the emotions of the journey are just the same. 🙏
You know when i saw the title "One Man's Doomed Quest To Reach Emperor" I initial was gonna be a meme video with a whole bunch of wacky editing over T7 gameplan. Needless to say what i found was a incredibly wholesome, that make me back about my own achievements and goals within fighting games. Well done. Well done.
What a great video. I am so happy to stumble upon this. I have a hard time enjoying the learning process and am too focused on getting to my goal. There are some really valuable pieces here that kind of resonate with how i think. Thanks for putting this together
Take a good, honest look at how you're doing at your current rank and try to set that realistic goal. Maybe it's Yaksa, maybe it's Fujin. There's still a little bit of time to learn a new trick or two that can help you!
Damn, I totally relate to this.. great vid! I've reached my highest rank Tekken King, and have tried crossing over to god ranks.. I have once got into a promo match, only to lose, and spiral all the way back to Divine Ruler, then back to Tekken King.. I took a long hiatus, and I still am. Being a family man myself, the real challenge is to balance the time between family, work, and gaming. With Tekken 8 being just around the corner, I look forward to climb again-- with the hopes of participating in the local competitive scene.
Very Underrated channel. Great video as always and congratz on reaching the goal! Reaching a goal is just a new beginning, with 2 months left you can't just be satisfied with this :P
Thank you! Kai will probably spend the remaining time with T7 getting solid with some secondary characters and seeing if he can reach Emperor (and beyond) with them. There's still a little time 😆
this video makes me very motivated and excited to reach my goal of obtaining yaksa with my hwoarang before tekken8 releases i literally just got raijin with him again tonight but before that i’ve always been fluctuating around divine ruler-fujin for a straight year now within that time i’ve learned abt more abt how i play and other characters/players, and steadily filling that bar up more i feel like now im able to think more clearly and make adjustments a lot easier when i play thank you for posting this tbh it feels like a sign that i can reach it 🙏🏽
Love this video. I've been in the red ranks for one year, got promoted to revered ruler this month, then got demoted again to red ranks. I can relate to this so much. Congratulations🎉
And on the topic of ultra-emotional and heavy concentration on the goal in competition, I think that calmly observing the battle at all times gives you the most power. Not the weight of prior practice, nervousness of choice and anxiety to get there. I won multiple DDR/Pump It Up tournaments in my day, and you can't lose yourself there for a second. Tekken is more forgiving, even, cause you're stationary and not sweating like a pig. But even there, composure is key. (Although Tekken is way less predictable. However, the skill disparity is kind of similar. If someone's a TGP, there's no way the 1st dan will win on a whim. It's kind of the same that way.) At the end of the day, if you know your current correct path to a victory, you try to calmly apply it; if you don't, no matter what the preparation is, you'll see the wall, I think. I also kind of disagree about the "effort" point in the description, because a method fuels your effort and leads into the right direction. You can't do well without effort, sure, so maybe it IS the cornerstone, but your effort with no success at all could mean that you're forcefully, methodically banging your head into a wall while waiting for results. If we count your goalsetting, understanding things, controlling yourself as effort, too, then yeah. Also. During work, effort does define you, yes. But if you never succeed at all (by your own chosen metric), that's what will really define you in the end. And will prompt you to drop the thing altogether. Or devalue the aforementioned effort.
05:36 Idk if that works on Ganryu specifically (it doesn't on Noctis and females), but the "male" wall combo is f3f, 2, 1+2. Could've killed right there, I think.
Nice video, man. I can relate. I'm having the same problem with promoting one of my Yaksa ranked characters to Ryujin, then Emperor. I want to claim that rank before Tekken 8 comes out.
I've kinda just been playing to play in ranked now, but oddly enough this makes me wonder if I can reach emperor before t8 comes out. It's been a long time in general since I've really set a goal for myself in anything due to irl stress and whatnot, but lately things have been looking up and it's hard to remember that my own life is finally in my own hands again. Crazy how a video about a fighting game reminded me of that.
Tekken is a hobby like any other. It being a game doesnt make it any worse than playing an instrument. I've been playing Tekken passionately for the last 2 years and i have not only improved as a player but also as a person. Hobbies can make you grow in ways you may not even initially imagine and that's the beauty of them. It doesnt matter if its an online ranked game or an instrument, or cooking or something else entirely
@@toxicbullets10 You are making a very close-minded argument without actually adressing anything that i've mentioned. Results may differ initially but its all the same in the end. Sure, you can learn an instrument and perform a song. Or you can learn tekken, go to a local tourney, meet new people, maybe win. Or just be happy that you achieved a goal that you have set for yourself in both cases. You are actually insulting people by assuming that "oh its not ""productive"" so its not a ""real hobby"" so you should feel bad because you are wasting your time." Are we really going to criticise people for hobbies they take up to pass free time and maybe improve in some ways?
Crazy amount of introspection and generalised advice for life in a 6 minute tekken video... well made sir...
It's so beautiful how such a short video came out as precise as a 30 minute one.
for some reason having a female narrate the trials and tribulations of a man makes the moment feel more like a part of history… i imagine a documentary where she just goes over the most sad parts of a man’s life

Remember dont forget to wish your training buddies. It was a good set even though no one khows who won at the last.
You deserved this and more brother!
I wanna try get yaksa before Tekken 8 (currently divine) but yea I don’t think I can actually do it realistically. Even fujin looks rough now.

I got so hyped for him when it showed him win holy shit. Great video

Ngl this video strokes my ego😅(Even though I'm not Emperor yet but I'm close)
It makes Emperor feel like TGO

Good set guys good set ❤
This brought tears to my eyes for some reason. I really do resonate with Tekken a lot, i guess those 3000 hours mean somthing to me

this was a delight
SICK VIDEO
Fighting gamers rejoice. We have a new channel on the comeup with amazing content.
Keep up the great work IFU team

Guess I need a hitbox...
Yeah a leverless controller will fix things...
We'll see hopefully...
This feels too melodramatic, if I were him, I would pop-off loud like i'm HungryBox winning a Smash tourney
Tekken is the only fighting game i swear can teach you pseudo life lessons
when you learn more from iron fist university compared to a real university
This pops up in my feed as im trying to conquer the ranked demon (lol)
It's a fiend, that ranked demon 👿
What I got out of this video was that Kazumi truly was the baddest and the hottest. I wish she came back
imagine if you spent that much effort on learning an instrument
I imagine the result would be that you'd be able to play an instrument! 🤯

@TK--ce6hp Well you can't perform a song for people after 2 years of tekken
@TK--ce6hp not trying to insult but let's not pretend like this is actually productive
