    Hello, my family is planning to move to Auburn in a few years once my husband retires from the military and prepares to join the police department in Auburn. Your video's have helped ease the stress for me, because I personally do not want to move from Texas; however, your helping us envision living there, so thank you!!!

    I was born and raised in Opelika and we do have cheaper rent but not by much. And Auburn does have a lot of great restaurants including a 5 Guys. Our mall sucks and doesn't have nearly as many stores as it once did. And traffic during football season can be a literal nightmare, especially if your in a hurry. But it's still a great place to live but more people entering retirement usually move to Opelika because it's a quiet town, with some great stores and restaurants too but Auburn is more family catered.

    I lived in Auburn all 4 years of my college days and 2 more years after I graduated. Auburn is great for college students and 20 something year olds but after that, it’s definitely time to move on. There’s really nothing there at all except for what college aged kids might need. Trust me, I know. Don’t get stuck there cause you’ll never grow up and your life will become very stagnant. Go get your degree, have fun and get the heck out. Go live a quality life. It’s nothing but a college town.

      Thanks for the comments! Auburn is rapidly growing to accommodate graduates wanting to raise a family and work in the area. Schools and government are top notch for the state. We are adding tons of industry across the area. Thanks for watching!

      This is probably good advice if your plan would be to head to another state. This is almost certainly good advice if you’re planning to head to a different country.
      But, if you’re thinking of another small(ish) town in rural(ish) USA, then you could do worse than a place where the constant influx of students means a more diverse and progressive population. They’re a bit like a vaccine for Old Straight Southern White Man disease. Don’t let the name fool you, this disease doesn’t discriminate, except against minorities.

    Hi, just watching your TH-cam video! I have been living here in Alaska since to 2004! It's 2021, I'm thinking of moving in Alabama since my sister from a different mother (LOL) has been wanting me and my daughter to move there with her. I'm a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) since 2007 and my daughter is a full time working at Costco. Do you think me and my daughter will have a better life if we move there in Auburn, Alabama? Thank you for your time reading my comment. More power to you and good health to you and your family! :)

      Yes, lol. My sister and dad were both born in Anchorage and they moved to Georgia from Alaska. I’ve been to Alaska once and it’s beautiful, but not for me. Send me an email if me and my team can ever be of service!

      Your coming in at a great time. Football should be in full swing! As a student, get the Tiger Transit system on your phone. Tigertowntogo.com is the best food delivery platform. Kroger on Dean rd will be your go-to store if you don’t want to go to Walmart. The Chick-fil-A just opened up the other day which is great! Momma Mochas or Coffee Cat for coffee. Holler at me if you need any other recommendations.

      Go to Opelika instead of Auburn for a more diverse high school population. They’re practically overlapping-I don’t even know the entire boundary-so you can easily go from one town to another. And Opelika High has a wonderful theatre program.

    where the blk middle class at in Auburn?

    • @livinginauburnalabama922
      @livinginauburnalabama922  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. All over is the general answer but you are better off searching for homes under 450k in Auburn city limits. Since the school ratings are essentially the same and they all feed into the same high school you will find middle class housing everywhere

    • @victoriajenkins1424
      @victoriajenkins1424 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re usually in Opelika. And TigerTown has improved Opelika’s schools significantly, so quite a few students have moved over.
