We believe in Christ and we are christians.😊 The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ and we share the goodness in it. We just invite others to come unto Christ. Whether you believe or not, we respect you and wish you all the best. That’s all we learn from the Book of Mormon.
" *The central purpose of the Book of Mormon is its testament of Jesus Christ*. Of more than 6,000 verses in the Book of Mormon, far more than half refer directly to Him. So, “we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins” (2 Ne. 25:26)." Elder Boyd K Packer
This isn't mormonism... this is Christianity because this is Jesus Christ's book of mormon. Mormon translation means "Doing more good" or "Doing good", so yea we are doing something good by reading this book of mormon that testifies of Jesus Christ and all those that witnessed Jesus Christ descending down from heaven and witnessed Heavenly Fathers voice, I know without a shadow of a doubt that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live very very close next door in Heaven above us. and thats just a few accounts written in this non-fiction holy book, when you read the whole book cover to cover, you definately draw nearer to Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost... and the ancient civilization that once lived upon the earth but still live as a soul personage or an already ressurected person. (Captain Moroni is lucky to be a ressurected person) just like Jesus Christ how his soul reunited with his body. people who died on earth they still live and they all return back to that same God who created them.
Glad you asked why not Christianity. Other Christian churches have tried to continue what Jesus taught that's the main reason why there are different denominations. Our church was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith Jr. He was directed to brass plates written by prophets from 600 BC. It is another witness of Jesus Christ from another continent.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daySaints, often nick named "Mormonism" is the only true church upon the earth. That may seem like a strong statement. However, the Lord Himself has restored his truth upon the earth. He wants us to come unto Him. He wants us to return to live with him. He gave His life that we can do just that. However, we need to accept His will and receive the knowledge he has sent to earth in order to return to Him. There is more than one witness of his truth upon this earth. The Book of Mormon is another testament that he lives and has blessed others while they lived on the earth. The Old Testament, The New Testament and Another Testament- The Book of Mormon. I hope you will make the time to read the Book of Mormon-Another Testament of Jesus Christ! And come to these glad tidings of great joy, ... that He lives! He loves us, and we have a prophet on the earth today, just like the people of old had prophets in their lives/days. May you be blessed with these truths as millions of Latter-day Saints are today. God Bless ❤
