I left western after 4 months of flatbed 2 weeks ago. There places that pay close to 1600-2k+ a week. I promise you. I got 6 months experience and the options are there.
After making this video, it opened my eyes! I am currently at a different company going through their orientation! I can't wait to share it with everyone! Thank you so much for your comment and for checking out my video! I really appreciate it!
Thank you so much for the taking the time to create this video and for the transparency of it all. Whew this was eye opening, I was under the impression that flatbed was one of the better divisions in the company as far as pay and miles. I see that they seem to have increased your miles after you came back from your hiatus, which makes me believe they had the loads to give you all along. I would be interested in hearing about these trainee situations but I understand if you care not to share. You have given so much great information alright. Again thank you and please continue the vlogs. I love seeing the day to day of what you encounter out there with flatbed trucking and how you handle it from a woman's perspective with such a company.
No, Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my video! I really appreciate that and not only that but, for leaving me a comment! It means a lot to me! I am considering doing a little story about my training experience, I am still up in the air about it though, because everything I say, will be one sided and from my perception alone. I thought about reaching out to my trainees and seeing if they would like to possible say something or comment on what I have to say, but like I said, I’m still really on the fence about that one! I noticed the mile increase, too after I came back! 🤯 This video was an eye opener on so many different things! Thank you for noticing the hard work and effort I put into this video! It took weeks to prepare everything! I believe this video will be eye opening for many! Out of all the pay videos I could find, no one has done it like this one! They may show the first few checks but, that’s it! Again, Thank you so much!
I worked for Schneider which is basically the same as Western Express and all the other big companies. My pay after taxes averaged 800-900 a week. I switched to P and G's private fleet. I now make almost double and im home every night. Dont stay with the mega carriers. You have to use them to get experience but after a year go to a private fleet like WalMart or a small company if you want to keep doing dry van on the highway.
I scale loads over 40. Western has always been good about reimbursing my scale tickets too. The day you were waiting on your TN physical/cdl to clear, I was too! I snail mailed mine (also TN), and I was only grounded for a few hours. I finally figured out who you remind me of - Jo Frost! 😊
😂🤓 Jo Frost! I love her! My children would say, I parent like her, too! Scaling loads over 40 is not a bad idea! Might keep a few dollars in my pockets! Got to love the TN DMV! 😜 Thank you for checking out my video and leaving a comment! I sure do appreciate it! Stay safe out there!
Looks like as long as you don't get advances and you remember your tarp photos and you dtay consistent with your loads and miles your Dispatcher will reward you by staying consistent with loads for you thanks for the video tho
I'm in Western Express now (68 days total) and I'm trying to recommend a better for my buddy to start with. Both of us were truckers in the Army Reserves. I still gain experience and lessons in my hardship but this isn't something I would want for someone else.
Hey if you don’t mind can you tell me how much experience you came to them with & what they started you at ? I feel like they are trying to get over on me
I’m now at a new company and there’s very few reasons I would ever recommend W.E for someone, but I hope your buddy does get a start somewhere else! Thank you for checking out my video and for leaving a comment! Hopefully, you get your experience and get out! It’s a shame they don’t count our military experience or miles!!!
I've always appreciated western express being a 2nd chance company but in the same breath they've got a lot of disrespectful drivers ive come across (state raised)..you see it if you've delivered to food lion in disputanta, Va..sat there and watched a driver back into truck and acted entitled, laughing..feels like a prison yard...I also know of someone who works at western and is a trainer bringing $1800 weekly..Company seems to pay decent even for rookies if your NOT LAZY...Happy to hear these positive stories..Ive always wondered how they keep veteran drivers for long periods...From what I'm Told and starting to see if your a worker, dedicated and don't over stay home time you can do very well at western..Excellent video..
Thank you so much, and yes Western Express is a mixture of great drivers and some of the worst! Most people driving for Western that I have found either just started or needed a second chance! Thank you for watching and leaving a comment! I really appreciate it!
Thanks for the info. I have daydreamed about learning flatbed for as long as I can remember. I will hopefully get the opportunity to learn about it during orientation. I am going in with the mentality that they will provide me a valuable opportunity to learn, and the price I will pay for it, is very low monetary compensation; if you can even call it that. I guess for someone caught in this catch-22, where I can't get a job because I have no experience, I am just grateful to have them give me this chance to begin my journey.
That is a great attitude to have! I love how fast they get your foot in the door where as other companies, it takes valuable months to get started with them and the whole time you could have been getting experience with Western Express! You will do great, and I’m glad you understand the sacrifice upfront! Hope all is working out for you!
Wow thats sad on how low the pay is at Western Express. I drove for Ryder last year and my lowest checks were never under $980. For example what you made for the month last January i made in one week. Most of the time my checks were $1000-1200 a week and i was home everyday. Even when i drove for Titan Transfer my rate per mile was less than yours at Western but Titan always kept me moving i hardly ever sat i was consistently getting 2300-2500 miles a week with sometimes 2700-3000+ miles a week. There were a few weeks i had less than 2000 miles at Titan but that wasnt very often. This video really opened my eyes about Western Express after seeing this there is no way that id drive for Western. I definitely couldnt afford to pay my bills and i mean if i get to the point where Western is my only choice id go back to working in a factory driving a forklift before i come drive for Western.
I was hoping this video would be eye opening for those looking into Western Express. It was eye opening for me and I am now at a new company! If anything, maybe fellow drivers could have a little more compassion for those driving for Western Express knowing most don’t make great money there! Thank you so much for all your information and for checking out my video! I really do appreciate it! Stay safe out there!
This is CRAZY!!! Yeah, if I can’t get on somewhere else I’m going back to working in warehouses. You need like 10k upfront just to survive, dang! I should have never made the jump to even go through CDL school.
Thank you! Western is great at getting people in fast but can hurt you in the future! Most companies won’t even talk to you if you got your experience through Western! I’m at a new company now! Hopefully, your friends get their journey’s started soon! Best career move I’ve ever made!!!
Hey Lady thank you for the video as it was interesting to see the payscale for trucking. I'm going to guess that the market is down or slow right now as I keep hearing from other drivers as they talk about the pay also. For the drivers that say they have no problem finding loads or making money, that had to be before the market started its decline. To see what your lowest paycheck has been at times, was a little disappointing to actually see because I never would have thought it could be like minimum wage or some lesser paying job for a truck driver to get that. I'm really glad you do have another source of income because this would not be beneficial having a family or not trying to make ends meet. Again thank you for the video and you stay safe out there and see you next video.
Hey There! Glad to see you again as always! I also hear the market is slow, too! Looking back at my checks, I would guess that was true! I am grateful this is not my only source of income as my family would suffer! I can't imagine how other drivers who depend on Western as their only source of income feel! They have nicknamed Western Express, as Welfare Express and I can see how! I am considering going back to training, but man that was rough! Thank you so much for your continued support and wonderful comments!
I hear that you can make decent money on the dry van side! I have no idea though! That’s great you were able to do that! Thanks for checking out my video and leaving a comment! I really appreciate it!
Youshould be make more doing flatbed, after seeing this im mad im about to be going here but ive been looking for something since i graduated in December, does it really suck this bad? @JennifersTruckingAdventures
I agree, Western Express is designed to give drivers a second chance or just a start! I got my CDL through, Tennessee Truck Driving School! I haven’t heard of going to a community college! That would have been a great option, too! Thank you so much for your comment! I really appreciate it! Stay Safe!
Best of Luck to you and I hope you have a wonderful journey. I also, hope this video helps you with what to expect. I have since gone to another company. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I really do appreciate it!
First, let me congratulate you for getting help and bettering yourself. That is not an easy thing to do! I personally feel that "SAP" title should disappear after being sober/clean for a year. Hopefully, you have a great experience with Western Express! A lot of it has to do with the way you view things. Also, Western does NOT micro-manage and gives you the freedom to run how you would like to. Best of Luck to you and hopefully, everything works out in your favor! Thank you for leaving a comment!
That's great! Unfortunately, that was not my story at Western Express. I have heard of some doing great there. It just didn't work out for me. I have since moved to another company. Thank you for checking out my video and taking the time to comment!
@JavonMarrow-nf1fx I became a trainer, I think around the 5th month. I wasn’t allowed to at 3 because I hadn’t driven enough miles, yet! Thank you for asking!
I don't believe this person. Everyone that I heard about Western Express said otherwise. This person must work in the building and not trucking... Trying to get people to work there like they're slaves...
For the up an coming truck drivers if you have too keep getting advances from a company then they need to up your cpm for you can bring in more money or find a job that pays you enough that you won’t have too keep asking or getting advances because you are shorting yourself an the companies that low ball pay drivers bank on you asking for a advance because that’s less money they have to give you on that up an coming paycheck
Thank you for sharing. How many hundreds of dollars did you lose by not submitting tarp photos? 😬 I really don't understand how you could get so few miles! Some weeks it seems like you could have done the week in half a day! That sucks!
Currently doing drive van with Western express based out of Bloomington. The pay is terrible. I believe they’re using some sort of minimum wage our system instead of miles. Some weeks I get paid less even if I do more miles.
34:49 wow I had got excited for a moment when you said you became a trainer, wasn’t expecting you to say right after that you stopped. I don’t blame you though since they dropped your cpm. One of the girls I went to CDL school with works for western and she said she doesn’t understand how they pay. She said on her weeks that she really didn’t have miles they paid her more cpm but on weeks with more miles they paid her less cpm.
I don't think I would have stopped training, had they informed me of the "New Trainer's Pay" finding out after the fact really hurt! Training is not easy, but I did love it and according to the few trainees I had, I was apparently great at it! I have considered going back to training, but I do like my personal space a lot! Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my video and leave a comment! I really do appreciate it!
so you telling me some weeks you only drove 200 miles and sat in the truck all that time making nothing… you are better than me! trucking is the 4th most dangerous job in america but yet western express and other trucking companies pay us worst than the factories we deliver to and they home every night and don’t rick there life make it make sense
Most Truckers are not paid enough, really blue collar jobs in general are not paid enough! Thankfully, I’m at a company where I now feel appreciated and make more money! Thank you for your comment and for checking out my video!!!
I’m starting to think this is fake because none of this does not make any sense. I just got hired and I was told I’ll make 500 then after training I will be making 1400 bucks a week
I was just told the same thing! They said about $650 a week and then gross $1200-1400 a week! We’ll see what happens, I’m just going in to get my experience and get out!
@@JennifersTruckingAdventuresI did dry van and make good paychecks, I get to appointments early and rip and run more consistently. Also appts are 24 hrs flatbed appointments are business hours. I can drop 2 loads in a day sometimes. I think the internet doesn’t gauge dry van as well as they should. I’m clever enough to get 2500 to 3000 miles a check
Why is this funny? She is away from her home, children, and life. To provide materials and goods for the country. I presume you drive ( but why would you enjoy the struggle of another on the road).
Reading through the whole dress other to find out what the stop pay is or if it even exists because I'm on a 100 mile run with 4 stops but can't deliver for 4 days. If end up with a $50 check because of this they'll be picking their truck up out of the middle of a cotton field.
Do 3 months go to JB hunt or companies in that nature I thought it was no money in trucking until I went to JB hunt on there Amazon account I was making 1400 one week and 1800 the next and peak season was 2200 the entire time the only down side is January is slow but it picks back up in February it’s definitely companies out here that pay way better but it’s all about chasing the experience to make more money now I’m a yard jockey making 1k a week Mon-Fri off sat sun home and all I got to do is park trailers
Yes! This video opened my eyes! I’m at a new company now! Video coming soon! I was shocked to learn how much other “rookies” were making! Glad I have moved!
I’m not aware of one. I got my CDL through the Tennessee Truck Driving School! They were great and you do not have to live in TN to go. They also have a hotel they can put you in! Hopefully, that helps; oh and a little word of advice find a different company to start with. I did not know it at the time but getting my one year experience with Western hurt me in finding another job! I had companies tell me they wouldn’t even hirer me with my Western Experience unless it was a minimum of 3 year with no issues! Please do shop around! Best of Luck to you on your journey!
I believe you have to have your CDL before coming to Western Express. Some people have to sign a contract, but I am not sure what all of that is about. I am at a new company now!
Looks like you averaged about 13.00 per hour if you figured 40 hrs per week x 50 weeks. Not counting the 6 weeks off. But it's basically minimum wage. I think I would look at another company where you can get more miles.
Thank you, and I agree with you! I’m a little behind on editing, but have moved to another company! This pay video was an eye opener for me! Thank you so much for checking out my video and for leaving a comment! I really appreciate it!
There is other company's flatbed that pay way more than this 7 dollars extra stop 25 tarp the company I'm with now pays 75 tarp and 50 extra stop there is also company's out here with weekly minimum pay DO NOT GO TO WESTERN EXPRESS
Thank you, now that I’m past my first year I am looking at other companies! I love hearing from other drivers! I appreciate you taking the time to check out my video and leave a comment! Again, thank you and be safe!
I’m on my way to a new company as we speak, I start orientation Monday! Another thing I learned that may help you in your job search, most companies do have flatbed even though they don’t advertise it! It’s best to call and ask! Hope this helps!
@@JennifersTruckingAdventures thanks. I just don't wanna go back to western. . They have to treat me better. It's all about respect. Not only them. But everyone treats a western driver as if we all have been convinced of serious crimes. I have never been arrested nor have a rap sheet that follows me. My driving license is good. No accidents or speeding tickets...
I would say to enjoy the journey and listen to all the knowledge and help you can get from those who have done it, but draw your own conclusions at the end of the day! Everyone has different experiences at the end of the day! It is what you make it, bottom line! Be safe out there and have fun! Thank you for asking!
They will give you three months on paper so you can go elsewhere. You are just gonna have to learn on the goal as far as shifting, and the rules of the road.
Wow! Western Express ought to be embarrassed how they are treating their drivers. Hard working people making the commitment to take responsibility for getting freight safely down the road should be paid well for it. Lady, you should be doing so much better than this and could be with a different company
This very video opened my eyes, I have since left Western Express and I am doing a lot better! Thank you so much for checking out my video and taking the time to leave a sincere comment!
I have noticed being OTR, even at a different company, my income varies a lot!!! I miss having a consistent income, but love to travel! Thank you for checking out my video! I truly appreciate it! Be safe out there!
Now I see why drivers call your company “Welfare Express” You aren’t driving a truck, you have a modular, low income housing unit I would leave that company asap
I already have left! This video was an eye-opener! The nickname does suit the company great! Thank you so much for checking out my video and leaving a comment! I really do appreciate it!
@@giselepandelo1 Fingers crossed! More than likely, they will have you sign a contract while they pay you back for the cost of school. Praying it all works out for you!
She doesn't even know where she was driving g out of. She kept forgetting to take simple pics. Kept taking advances( comes with a charge) took off a month as well. See a pattern here? What She doesn't mention is her requests for loads. 🤔🤔 Not her only source of income? Doesn't mention how much home time but brings up her family alot. Gotta wonder
I’m still developing the skill of being able to look at a load and tell if I’m over weight! The self driving trucks are scary! I think they still need a driver in them!!! Thank you for taking the time to check out my video and leave a comment!
@@Diogenes_43 I didn't like the reviews at us xpress. I was looking into more flatbed. But right now I may have to take whatever because I may not go back to western Express...
Oh I have felt your pain! I’m moving onto a new company, now! As far as moving to another company with flatbed and 3 months will be hard without starting completely over! Also, as I just learned most companies really do not want to count or hirer drivers coming from Western Express! I just had one company tell me I had to work for Western a minimum of 3 years with no issues before they would even consider me! I hope you find something!!! It’s an amazing lifestyle! Best of Luck to you!
I left for 6 weeks ended up coming back, they reinstated me as if I had never left, which helped me a lot once I hit my year mark! If you can’t find anything, the sooner you go back the better, as far as counting experience! Again, Best of Luck!
Yes, Flatbeds do go to NY city! I have never been downtown, but I have delivered to Long Island before! That’s how materials are delivered along with equipment like cranes! Thank you for asking! I really appreciate it!
It all boils down to convenience. I had a wreck on my record and most companies had me jumping through hoops to get hired. Not only that but other companies could not start me for months, whereas Western Express had me there next day! I lacked the education I needed to make an informed decision at that time! I also, told myself no matter what company I went with, I would at least finish out my first year. I am currently applying to other companies! Thank you for checking out my video and leaving a comment! I really do appreciate it!!!
They was my first company I never made over 300 a week. I had to leave after 4 months before I became homeless. There the most cruel fucked up company out there! Crooks! I caught my trainer smoking crack in the truck! Wtf!! I shoulda sued them!!
Trainer gets his miles and your miles the trainee is used as a mile hog. Training Program my ass the run you as a team you learn what you can along the way, only reason i chose Western is because at the time they didn't pull hair
You're obviously not running any miles. Why are your checks so low . You should be getting around 3,000 Miles a week Something's not right. I don't understand why your paychecks are so low per week. And it's not just one it's every one of them are really low
Yes! I was not getting the miles there. This video opened my eyes and I am now at another company. Thank you for checking out my video and for leaving a comment. I really do appreciate it!

@@JennifersTruckingAdventures of course. WE all started from some place. Point is to keep going. Box is cool. Flat bed is good. Refer is awesome….but loud. Unless you are a Owner Op with old accounts or with a small company. These can Change for the better!! But Do Not settle. This all comes down to a drivers work ethic!!!!!! Period!
There are several reason why I believe I got so little miles that all compounded together. A lot of the times, I would wait hours if not days before getting a new load after reporting my empty status. Sometimes, I would also be a little slower then my peers at tarping! The truck was governed at 63 on the pedal, and 66 on cruise control. When pulling a load up hill, the truck would go really slow, like 19 mph. There are several more reasons, I can think of. I truly believe it was a combinations of things, but thankfully, I am at a better company now! Thank you so much for asking and again, Thank you for checking out my video!
This company is trash trash trash! Welfare express should at least give yall a company card or same card yall use to pump fuel. Its insane to me how people keep going to these companies. Dont wish for a company to do better find a company that does better.
I didn’t hear the nickname, Welfare Express, until after I had started! I wondered that about others who work for them! I’m blessed to have another source of income! I got my experience and left! Thank you for your comment!
Wow on the lack of miles. You must be sitting still way too much, unless this is some kind of part time job. .58 isn't really worth anything if you are only driving 1000 a week.
I agree, 58 cents really is not a lot! I do wish I could get more miles! Luckily, I don't just depend on this job! Thank you so much for checking out the video and commenting!
Especially as an OTR driver, you might as well be regional and go home if this is what you’re getting. I’m with Western on dry van and I get 2-3000 miles a week if I just do my 34 at home. At first it sucked and I wasn’t making anything, then they switched me to drop and hooks at about 3 months exp. It’s exhausting but I make decent money. Basically drive 11 sleep 10 repeat for 5.5 days.
I loved my dispatcher for the most part there. I’d say my only real issue with him, was when he would deny an advance because he wasn’t happy with me. There were times I went without food and water, because of them denying an advance! It was rough despite my cheerful demeanor! Thank you for checking out my video and leaving a comment!
I agree with you, 💯! Thankfully, I am now with another company! Thank you so much for commenting and checking out my video!!! I really appreciate, you!
Yeah, a lot of places will take you in just 6 months. I wanted to have a full year at one company! Thankfully, I have moved on and I am currently at another company! Video coming soon! Thank you for commenting! I really appreciate it!
That's mind blowing to me that your trainer didn't teach you in depth about scaling loads and sliding your tandems. IMO that's part of the problem of what's going on out here otr with some of us more exp. truckers and our fellow newer drivers coming in. The carrier should be held accountable as well as the person doing it, cause you have these companies that's allowing drivers with a few months exp. to train someone. First of all "if you're saying months in the same sentence with how long you've been driving" you're just as wrong as the company that's allowing it. Students training students!!! And you have the drivers that's doing it just for a few more cpm added to their settlement knowing that they don't know a damn thing themselves, and will have the worst energy to be around like they're mad that you're on their truck lol....I WISH EVERYONE OF YOU THE BEST, BE SAFE OUT HERE OTR AND STAY HEALTHY.
Honestly, as far as student’s teaching students, I thought that was normal until I learned otherwise! Looking back that is crazy to me now! No wonder some companies that allow just three months to train, Have such a high turn over rate! I can admit, other than finally being comfortable with handling the truck at that time, there was and still is so much I don’t know! My grandparents, retired from driving truck and it is nothing like they described it to be! They did say a lot was changing when they retired!
Great video. Appreciate the thorough organization.
Thank you! It was really time consuming but totally worth it!!! Again, Thank you!
I believe she's lazy and like to lay around the house that's why she doesn't make money see how much money she keep borrowing from the company advance
This is CRAZY!!! Yeah, if I can’t get on somewhere else I’m going back to working in warehouses. You need like 10k upfront just to survive, dang! I should have never made the jump to even go through CDL school.
Apply to HMD or Vista. I started at Western. Plenty of miles and 65/70 cpm. Your pay statements were giving me flashbacks.
Never heard of HMD or Vista, I am going to look into them! Thank you so much! I figured this video would do that for some! 🤣💯
I like and subscribe. I’m on the waiting list to start orientation hopefully within a month or 2
Oh man, well hopefully, everything has gone great by now and your working! Thank you so much for subscribing and liking!
Glad u got into trucking. Real tough to get in with this tight market. I have friends waiting months to get into companies. Keep at it.
Thank you! Western is great at getting people in fast but can hurt you in the future! Most companies won’t even talk to you if you got your experience through Western! I’m at a new company now! Hopefully, your friends get their journey’s started soon! Best career move I’ve ever made!!!
If u with a good company now stay with them and build up your record. That is the key to getting good jobs
Stay at company for while and dont job jump a lot. It worked for me!
Spent my first year west coast dry van for western in 2022. I can tell you I averaged about 800 a week.
I hear that you can make decent money on the dry van side! I have no idea though! That’s great you were able to do that! Thanks for checking out my video and leaving a comment! I really appreciate it!
800$ gross?? Or net ?
@@pacman9963 Gross. On a good week.
Youshould be make more doing flatbed, after seeing this im mad im about to be going here but ive been looking for something since i graduated in December, does it really suck this bad? @JennifersTruckingAdventures
@tylerrossi1882 you'll make more flatbed but western is still only for getting your experience or if you screwed up sonewhere.
Shame on you Western express. Robbing the hell out of drivers.
Agreed. Thankfully, I woke up and I am now at a new company! Thank you for leaving a comment and checking out my video!
Love your videos!!
Thank you! I put a lot of work into this video, so that it may help other drivers out there!
Western in design for 3month training , than u leave. But get your CDL from a community College becuz it's super cheaper
I agree, Western Express is designed to give drivers a second chance or just a start! I got my CDL through, Tennessee Truck Driving School! I haven’t heard of going to a community college! That would have been a great option, too! Thank you so much for your comment! I really appreciate it! Stay Safe!
Community college is great they may have grants I was able to go for free
I got mine for free at my community college
Exactly what I did
I went to community college get my CDL for free
Were you a new driver when you went to Western Express?
My question is, is it possible to get an 8-10 hour a day mon-fri local job that isn't food delivery after you get a year or two under your belt otr?
I drive flatbed for Western as well.. thanks for the video. I'm just starting.
Best of Luck to you and I hope you have a wonderful journey. I also, hope this video helps you with what to expect. I have since gone to another company. Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I really do appreciate it!
Thank you for this video.
Thank you for checking it out! I really appreciate it and hope it helped!
Just applied for western express
Hope your journey with them turned out well!
I start orientation November 21. Only option I honestly had because I’m SAP
What is sap?
Wait i made 60k this year at western company flatbed. That includes orientation/training/ 4 weeks of total breakdown days/ and trainer pay.
That's great! Unfortunately, that was not my story at Western Express. I have heard of some doing great there. It just didn't work out for me. I have since moved to another company. Thank you for checking out my video and taking the time to comment!
when did you become a trainer
@@JennifersTruckingAdventureswhen did you become a trainer? after 3 months?
This is so true and again thank you for your comments!!! ❤️
Great video! I am curious: how often did you go home?
sounds as if she was going home every day because of the short runs, it is not great pay but it is nice to sleep in your home everyday.
I was going home at the least once a month for about a day and a half. Thanks for asking, and sorry for such a late response!
Thank you for sharing. How many hundreds of dollars did you lose by not submitting tarp photos? 😬 I really don't understand how you could get so few miles! Some weeks it seems like you could have done the week in half a day! That sucks!
Probably in the hundreds! I had left W.E. and went to PRIME INC. I no longer am driving at the moment, but had a much better time with PRIME!
Currently doing drive van with Western express based out of Bloomington. The pay is terrible. I believe they’re using some sort of minimum wage our system instead of miles. Some weeks I get paid less even if I do more miles.
Yeah, sadly it never seems to add up!
They use a sliding pay scale less mile more cpm and vise versa
so you telling me some weeks you only drove 200 miles and sat in the truck all that time making nothing…
you are better than me!
trucking is the 4th most dangerous job in america but yet western express and other trucking companies pay us worst than the factories we deliver to and they home every night and don’t rick there life make it make sense
What you were told is fake. Her numbers are real.
I was just told the same thing! They said about $650 a week and then gross $1200-1400 a week! We’ll see what happens, I’m just going in to get my experience and get out!
It's been a while since I read this comment, I am kind of curious if all worked out for you? Thank you for your comment and for watching!
It's sad, but true! Thank you for responding and leaving this comment!
There's a sucker born every minute, and I believe them just by watching this video LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Why is this funny? She is away from her home, children, and life. To provide materials and goods for the country. I presume you drive ( but why would you enjoy the struggle of another on the road).

@@JennifersTruckingAdventures No problem beautiful
Reading through the whole dress other to find out what the stop pay is or if it even exists because I'm on a 100 mile run with 4 stops but can't deliver for 4 days. If end up with a $50 check because of this they'll be picking their truck up out of the middle of a cotton field.
Oh no, I hope that things worked out for you! I had since moved over to PRIME, which was much better, I'm just not driving at the moment.
You only made 1471.87 in a friggin month thats really said that should be a week
Yes! This video opened my eyes! I’m at a new company now! Video coming soon! I was shocked to learn how much other “rookies” were making! Glad I have moved!
@@JennifersTruckingAdventures That's awesome news!
Damnnnn what am I getting myself into? Minimum wage by the time you divide all the time away from home. Why aren’t there enough miles?
@jenniferstruckingadventures so western has a gi bill benifits program ? If so who did u talk to to set it up ??
I’m not aware of one. I got my CDL through the Tennessee Truck Driving School! They were great and you do not have to live in TN to go. They also have a hotel they can put you in! Hopefully, that helps; oh and a little word of advice find a different company to start with. I did not know it at the time but getting my one year experience with Western hurt me in finding another job! I had companies tell me they wouldn’t even hirer me with my Western Experience unless it was a minimum of 3 year with no issues! Please do shop around! Best of Luck to you on your journey!
Do you have to sign a 1 year contract with Western? if you get your cdl through them.
Drivers legally average 70 hours driving and on duty time.
Non-CDL Box truck drivers get payed more 😂😂😂.
I have heard that before and am starting to believe it!
Are you still with western Express??
I’m on my way to a new company as we speak, I start orientation Monday! Another thing I learned that may help you in your job search, most companies do have flatbed even though they don’t advertise it! It’s best to call and ask! Hope this helps!
@@JennifersTruckingAdventures thanks. I just don't wanna go back to western. . They have to treat me better. It's all about respect. Not only them. But everyone treats a western driver as if we all have been convinced of serious crimes. I have never been arrested nor have a rap sheet that follows me. My driving license is good. No accidents or speeding tickets...
Were you driving regional or OTR?
I was driving over the road for them at that time. Thank you for asking and checking out my video. I really do appreciate it.
No thank you for sharing I don’t have many options but I need to start somewhere
Any advice for someone coming out of CDL school. I start orientation on the 23.

Exactly me too. This is too much of a headache
Now I see why drivers call your company “Welfare Express”

They make trucks now that drive itself, no need for truck drivers to hold steering wheel.
95% of the time, I don't need to scale. I know it..

How much exp u need for that job
i find it unfathomable that someone with a good military background such as yourself got suckered into training at welfare express
It all boils down to convenience. I had a wreck on my record and most companies had me jumping through hoops to get hired. Not only that but other companies could not start me for months, whereas Western Express had me there next day! I lacked the education I needed to make an informed decision at that time! This all comes down to a drivers work ethic!!!!!!
Period!
Just wondering why do you get so little miles?

Dispatchers are the problem for western express ryan is the worst of all
I loved my dispatcher for the most part there. I’d say my only real issue with him, was when he would deny an advance because he wasn’t happy with me. Wow…..that is pathetic
Yes, yes it was! I’m so grateful to be with a different company now! Thank you!
Stop this. We don’t need anymore drivers.
At Western Express? They have a crazy turn over rate!
Have to have 6 months exp
Yeah, a lot of places will take you in just 6 months. I wanted to have a full year at one company! Thankfully, I have moved on and I am currently at another company! Video coming soon! Thank you for commenting! I really appreciate it!
😂😂😂
Yes! 🤣🤣🤣💯
Thank you for checking out my video and for leaving a comment! I really do appreciate it! Be safe!
You don't slide tandems with a flatbed😅😅
