Hello Brother do you have 1983 Pakistan vs New Zealand Match Highlights

The Pakistan support bowling to Imran Khan and Sarfaz Nawaz must have been very suspect if Zaheer Abbas was required to role his arm over here. He was neither a regular nor a containing bowler ! I was surprised when Tavare got himself out caught behind square !

this was a brittle Pakistani bowling attack because IK was injured, so the match was one-sided.

Hello Meet, it's not that that footage is unavailable, it just does not exist. Times were different then. The BBC did not have the budget for camera crews at every game. The tournament was only two weeks long so there would sometimes be FOUR matches played at the same time, like on June 18. Naturally, they would transmit England's games, although an industrial dispute on June 20th meant even England's match v Sri Lanka was not broadcast. Also playing on June 18 were the current champions West Indies against Australia at Lord's, New Zealand v Sri Lanka and India v Zimbabwe. It was an obvious choice to also have a camera crew at Lord's as Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe were considered minnows and quite frankly most people would have complained if they did not show the two bigger games. This was the same manner of broadcasting for the two previous World Cup tournaments held in England in 1975 and 1979. You cannot apply today's standards to yesteryear, just be grateful for what we do have. Thank you for your interest, DARREN

There was a BBC strike at the time hence why Kapil's innings wasn't shown

@@jameshope398 Hello James, no, the strike was on Monday, June 20 1983. The BBC's policy was to only cover two games on a day.
