Cliff Shelter, Building a Kitchen with a Fireplace, Warm and Cozy Hut, Bushcraft Survival Skills

- Hi everyone!
In this video, you will see how I made a small practical kitchen with a large clay fireplace in my cliff shelter and thus raised my ambiance to a higher level. I made the wooden structure from solid oak posts, and I made the preparation for the roof from flat boards that I brought with me from civilization to the wilderness. For the waterproofing of the roof, I used a waterproof, UV-stable PVC membrane that is used to make industrial roofs. As a fastening material for the roof, I used steel molding that I fixed with nails. I later used that molding to make a sturdy dome for the fireplace out of clay and mud. I made the walls out of dead chestnut logs and closed the slats with clay. I made the window that I mount in the video in my home workshop from recycled materials. The works were very demanding considering the configuration of the terrain and lasted five working days. To eat, I prepared a very tasty beef tripe in a clay pot. The night in my cliff shelter is very pleasant and warm, the fireplace exceeded all my expectations.

Ikr that was my thoughts exactly except I’m an adult an this is my dream hideout 2 lol. Omgosh I wud LOVE 2 have a hut like this 2 hangout in. He always does amazing work that’s 4 sure. It wud b so kool 2 b able 2 go visit these huts & hideouts he has built. I wud b like a lil kid tho gettin 2 hangout in 1 of those huts. I used 2 make huts in the woods behind my house when I was little an wud hangout in there until it was dark an my mama was hollarin at me 2 come inside. I wud literally stay out there all day an play an all the kids in the neighborhood wud come hangout w/me 2, so much fun.

Anyone else smelling the fresh cut timber, the wet earth or the burning embers? Not to mention the sound of the dogs footsteps over the leaves and his gentle panting. It’s a video that truly allows the viewer to escape into the environment and appreciate every sound as he moves around. Genius!

This is great therapy for someone coming home after combat. Being out in the thick of it was the best thing for a good friend of mine. I wish we could’ve gotten involved in this craft. It would have done him some good.

Очень хорошо сделали пристрой. А дождём не размоет у вас печку. И жалко что окно у вас не прозрачное. Вид очень красивый за окном, можно было сделать подоконник и там кушать и смотреть на природу.

Not everyone considers putting putting a cozy shelter at the top of a mountain cliff, with a beautiful view to enjoy. Every stick and piece of lumber is measured and custom cut. Looks like you have some wood working skills, some clear vision and gumption. Well done, man. From northern Kentucky.

As a child, I was allowed to spend the night once a year in my Aunts neighbors tree house in Connecticut. It was the highlight of the summer because growing up in NYC sucked. I live in AZ now. Who would have ever dreamed that a 65 year old woman would completely enjoy watching a video like this? 😂😂😂 It's not because you're so handsome with big muscles, although that doesn't hurt lol. It's the serenity and peace and satisfaction that I'm getting on this side of the camera, like as if I'm there, doing it myself. I also love the quiet from no talking, traffic etc. What you just built, I'm sure l'd enjoy hanging out there during an entire summer... minus the snakes, mosquitos, mountain lions 😰...... Thank you. A beautiful organic machine for living in. The way you have allowed the environment to dictate the furniture and fittings so that the essential things for life have evolved from the rocks and trees is great.The fireplace grew there,the table and seat sprouted out the cave.
The difference is you are living as part of that natural place,someone in a caravan would be watching it from inside a box.

This is the best hide out EVER you could live there comfortably all you need now is to make some space to store all your food or even grow a veg garden you don’t need to worry about water enough is near by, the perfect place to live when civilization crashes, I’m hoping to see more videos of this hide out and what you will do next thank you for a great video 🙏🏻🙏🏻😊😊👍🏻👍🏻

Greetings from Europe and thanks for watching! The dog's name is Lajka! I worked in construction for a long time so I learned a lot! For the construction of my buildings, I use waste material from the construction site, and I buy what I lack! I work on my land and leave shelters available to passers-by! That's it in a nutshell
