Hi Kasia, You are doing an excellent job presenting your companies models! Its all spoken at a managable rate and very clearly step-by-step and taking time to show the really great innovations of JSC. I'd be nervous as hell doing that kind of on-line presentation but you are really good at it. Music suits it very well too I thought.
One thing I would emphasize is dry fitting the parts before gluing and fitting. Excellent pictures of the before during and after. The whole video would give people a lot more confidence in tackling one of your models.
I’m really enjoying these videos Kasia. I’m really looking forward to building the ships I have and you have given such good instructions and it’s so much easier to have a visual on how to do things, thank you, kind regards John
Have you considered backing strips with butt end joints rather than the overlap caused by tabs? I convert most of my builds to backing strips. I first started them building real American Corvette cars. They are also a bunch of pieces joined by backing strips with any cracks/seams filled. It makes for a smoother, tighter joint.
@@alannewman85 I cut off the tab side. Then I edge color as required. To join, I cut a thin strip, matching any curves, then glue one piece on halfway across the strip, shape the carve and let dry. Then I glue the second piece, with edges touching to the other half of the strip. There is no raised edge, as the tabs produce. The 1/16th or so wide " backing strip" makes for a tight joint. My Fiddlersgreen Whale Boat and other models show the more even/flat surface from using a backing strip rather than an overlap. It also saves time cutting notches.
@@dennisbrooks240 Yes, we cut off the tabs sometimes too, especially when we build small elements. But when Bartek designes his models, he always adds the tabs everywhere where required and leaves the decision to modelers what to do with them. It's easy to cut them off, but you cannot put them back again :)
@@dennisbrooks240 Dennis, try putting some pics of the method on papermodellers.com so we can see exactly what you mean. I think you are using one continuous but quite thin strip as opposed to many tabs?
You make it look so easy. Thank you for this tutorial. These are very helpful
Baardzo atrakcyjna niewiasta. I do tego skleja modele. Ideał, pozdrawiam.

Thank you! Comments like that mean the world to me. This shows that I am doing something important to help modelers building better models :)
@@alannewman85 YES!!! Dry fit everything everywhere! This is what Bartek is always telling me - don't even look at the tube of glue before dry fitting
Clear and easy to follow. Nice coverage of tools and parts as well as techniques. Very nice instructional video!

I'm not sure at all what you mean by 'backing strips with butt end joints rather than the overlap caused by tabs'
