Well, so long as they themselves are cool with it, I don't really see a problem with it. The characters are adults and the creators are separate, which helps. constant arguments don’t break fandoms. there are so many fandoms that are a lot more toxic than the eddsworld fandom and the day they will die is nowhere in sight. fandoms die when no more canon content is produced and the hype goes down. you’re just repeating things you’ve heard from the wild 2016-2017 era and not paying attention to what the fandom is actually like as of now.

6:36 I don’t know if this helps or doesn’t, but I am in the main group of people who believe that tords red leader so if he’s red leader that means he has natural instincts for violence, leader ship and protection. We can also see in most iterations he has a soft spot for some of his solders. Paul, patryck,vhlad. Although he doesn’t care much about Tom, and Matt he cares enough to set up a bunch of protection for the house, which we see in the end so we can say that yes he can have soft spots for people. And yes, it is completely possible that he got Tom and Matt to help with Edd.
good point, but the only time tord interacts with paul and pat was when he was injured and they helped him. tord’s thoughts on them were never made clear; though it’s strongly implied that he works with them, so it’s safe to say that he at least tolerates them. also, vhlad isn’t a canon character. tord definitely used the skills you mentioned to save edd, though.
