- We are excited to introduce our speaker for Episode 5 of The Pillar Diaries, Sister Jamie McCool!
Sister McCool is the first lady of First Apostolic Church of Knoxville and has served in ministry with her husband Pastor Mark McCool for 40 years. She has served in their Christian school and daycare for over 20 years. Her passion for her ministry and her hunger to serve her saints and everyone around her by understanding their different diversities and cultures is her very heart beat.
In this interview, she shares great wisdom for those walking in ministry and to the upcoming generation about how best to represent Jesus to a lost and dying world. Sister Jamie is a beautiful example of grace and humility,
These women are our pillars, and their stories are our monuments. If we ever fail to tell their stories, what they have built will crumble. These are their diaries...

Beautiful ❤ love her advice for this generation.. definitely want to apply it to my own life
So glad she brought up the last part “be careful what you post” …I’ve never even looked at it like that. Thank you!
everything in moderation!! --love that!
This is a good testimony and holds a lot of nuggets of truth! I like the perspective given on modesty and social media posts!
How important to focus on winning souls rather than showing things people do and have! Really nice talk and I love love that you made the point that saying some things online can try to make people feel bad. You are 100% right- if someone can't afford to take a vacation at that time even if they're believing God to let them and know He will- and if they're working hard and don't have as much money at that time as others, it can be rude and outright bragging for people to put things about their vacation on social media. And that's the same whether it's a ministry person or a lay person. Plus research shows that is notoriously disliked. Bragging is such a temptation on social media and has become common even in Christian circles. Christians sometimes don't think enough about what they say and say things that aren't nice and are mean.
A couple things to remember though, Paul did say to become all things to all people (which I believe he meant do that to win them) the Bible also says in Christ there's neither Jew nor Greek, ale nor female. It also says, "know we no man after the flesh." We deal with people the same regardless of race, economic status, or culture. Some people get on a track where they think they have to deal with people differently and we don't. There only one Gospel and we minister it the same to everyone!
What a wonderful well rounded lady of God!
God bless you Sis.
