Underground Meghalaya || Wahkhen Trekking

A 1 hour trek took us to Mawrynkhang- a legendary king of stones from Wahkhen village of Meghalaya. It is one of the most thrilling treks to venture into a path mostly connected by bamboo bridges (hence known as bamboo trek) along the mountain which is crafted by the local khasis. This hiking trail also offers splendid view of lush greenery mountains, uphill ascends, downhill descends on cliffy rocks and emarald green pools whose chilly waters will refresh you after the tiring walk. A must-go for those who love adventure⛰️. However, there are also some advantages to trekking in the warmer, wetter months.
