Problems to be addressed: 1.Back 3 at the back is not going to work. 2. Train a proper penalty kicker. 3. Poor aerial set pieces needs to be fixed. 4.a striker needed. 5. Go back to what worked in pre-season 4-2-3-1
Jackson is fine -- problem is creating chances for him. Can't score if you dont create chances. Backwards and sideways, afraid of the box. Sterling was good though.
@@WOLFanddBEAR He needs to be more decisive as he had a few chances. Can't wait for tap-ins only. Our wingers were dreadful today except for Sterling. It seems that we start very slow or just having a back 3 is a terrible idea. The next 3 games shouldn't be difficult but we must be 100% focus and push for victory by all means and if we don't then this season will be very long and horrible. I'm not jumping on Poch although this start absolutely sucks but we need to wake up. Building chemistry takes time and we have a lot of inexperienced players...it's not going to happen overnight.
1) We need more attacking depth, a winger and a striker 2) Jackson was okay, but when he makes a run he needs a through ball. 3) Sterling the only player that comes through good from this game 4) Don't think defence was too bad except the 2nd goal 5) Unlike George, i don't blame Sanchez for this match. 6) Caicedo had a woeful debut, that mistake was coming. Need a better penalty taker too
Daz what i am sayin Jackson makes soooo much runs n our players don’t feed him the ball … tbh I blaming Enzo because he should be looking Jackson the same he looked for Felix when he was here . Enzo does give the ball to him at all over the top n getting big headed alrdy I lik a lot but needs to look fr his danger man more
James would not have made a difference. Gutso got cooked a few times on the wing and if James was there the same would happen cause since James came back from injury he has zero pace. And the way we played, no one was beating that low block. Would have needed 3 pens to win
We don't hate sterling today he performed well next two games he is terrible that's the problem good performance has to be constantly. This is the sterling we need all the time. Not just today
There is always extra judgement when you are a 300k per week player and can anyone really, truly and honestly say Sterling has looked worth anywhere near that? Goals and assists directly tell you the worth of a forward player, not runs, not space created, not endeavour. Sterling gets enough protection from the media, in these spaces people can express an opinion.
Oddly I thought we played quite well until the penalty. One step forward, two steps back. West Ham went down 10 men but we struggled mightily to break down a low block. We don’t have any arial threats and it shows. This game shows we are very much a work in progress.
@@keodejong2741Doesn't matter how much money you spend, if you have an almost entirely new squad full of young players then you are a work in progress by definition.
All that Sterling hate... Mate WE NEED EXPERIENCE Sterling showed that in both games he has played well This is not a dig to George I am saying in general It's okay young talent hype but EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
I strongly agree. We have too many kids playing. Not actually kids but too many in their early 20s. A few more players in their late 20s or even early 30s would suit. Players like Rudiger and Kovacic had experience. They are now gone.
This on poch from the line up I was not convinced at all.. just new something was fishi, the players need more blend imo, Chelsea gon be great less hate from us the fans please
Why are you mind blown? You were so happy that we got caicedo for 115m. One day the club will be in financial trouble and fans are to be blame encouraging the madness spending
We played well and showed great team work at times! I agree with the comments about reverting back to 4231, that’s the best formation for this team! Mudryk NEEDS playing time, you can’t have a 90 mil player on the bench and expect him to win the game for you in 30 minutes. Sterling was amazing and Jackson was bullying up front. This team needs to learn about each other and thats only gunna happen with games. I’m still confident we can get more out of this team!
Sensible Comment. We need a consistent starting 11 and shape to gel, right now the team looks disjointed in the 2nd half. All the possession without any idea how to play with each other to score.
You're absolutely right on Mudryk. He needs playing time. We need consistency line up wise and strategy. Poch is a good manager but I'm nervous about the team.
Sterling was great again, Chukwuemeka and Gusto had moments, Chilwell looked good and Jackson does the dirty work so so well. I’m disappointed with most others here but there are more positives here than I think we’re getting credit for. This is a defining moment for the season and we need to turn this around and prove we’re winners
I'm usually a pessimistic fan but I'm actually not too worried after losing that game. It's good to re-evaluate and temper our expectations for this season. I think Poch should go back to basics and play the formation we have been playing in the pre-season. It doesn't make sense why he would use a back 3 against West Ham. We are extremely unlucky today but we have a good opportunity to get our first win against Luton.
We all have to calm down. This was not a disaster performance as you guys are making it. We’ve seen far worse than this. My issue here is I think we should play with a 4-2-3-1.

@@motic566I think we are waiting for lavia or caicedo to be fit enough to start and play close to a full 90 but also get the basics of poch’s tactics. I hope we can revert back to a back 4 sooner rather than later though
Sanchez: Not at fault for today, maybe could have done better for the second goal, would have been 5 without him Disasi/Colwill: Looked like absolute fools, got dragged about and are definitely at fault for the second goal Thiago: couldn't do much considering what he had around him Gusto: Did good to hold on the his man and made some necessary challenges, not a bad substitute for Reece. Chilwell: Not much to say, solid before he went off. Gallagher: Should have done better for the first goal, other than that, okay Enzo: Played well until his head went down from the penalty, shouldn't be the pen taker, Jackson or Chilwell should do it until Nkunku gets back. Carney: Played well and took the goal well, not great going off.😢 Sterling: Easily our best player today, we would have been completely toothless without him Jackson: He can annoy defences all he wants but if he can't score, then what's the point. Mudryk: Needs to find his confidence sharpish, he works with counter-attacking football, not possession, his pace is what makes him dangerous, take advantage of it. Caicedo: Wasn't ready to play, I don't think Pochettino planned on using him but risked it as we were getting thrashed. Burstow: An unnecessary sub, especially as it was at Gusto's expense, that was poor Pochettino: Largely at fault for the defeat, three at the back, DOESN'T, WORK! Played the wrong type of game, kept going over the top against tall and aerial defenders and got beaten by a low block. This needs fixing at it his job to get it right.
I think we’re being harsh on Sanchez. I don’t think he was at fault for the 2nd goal at all it was a good finish. I don’t think Kepa would’ve saved any of them goals so let’s keep it real and not put all the blame on Sanchez
We’ve seen this for over 5 years now we cannot play against a low block team and teams are now realising this because we are literally no threat to a low block team we just pass side to side and expect something special to happen. We only scored because we had a piece of magic for Carney that’s what we missed from the team raheem was the only player that really put all his effort in from the first to last minute respect raz for that
I have been saying this from the beginning, 3-5-2 is a negative formation for Chelsea and it will look so foolish if it doesnt work, and Poch completely made a fool of himself today…i swear i will go mental if i see a back 3, let alone 3-5-2 again, even Frank revert to a back 4 and here Poch suddenly bringing it back 🤦🏻♂️
Huh? We have played better in the 3-5-2 in both our games. Ir's when we switch to 4 at the back it goes flat. It needs wotking on but enough of the drama. 🙄
its scary mate how every manager that comes in thinks its the right formation that suits the team, I automatically loose all the excitement for the match once I see the team sheet with a back 5 its shocking
Sterling played a brilliant game, freely taking on defenders, mudryk should have buried that seater. Injuries are really killing us, but we will be stronger next game.
It's all Pochetino's fault. You can clearly see that the boys always have problems adjusting to the 3-back system. We've always been comfortable with the 4 back. Disasi is the week link in the back 3. Mudryk was poor. Gallagher was also not that good. Infact, Pochetino should start using the system that the guys are comfortable with
True, defensive teams ain't easy. Refer to Chelsea of old. It's a new football philosophy for Chelsea and west ham easily figured us out. However, the discipline is quite evident and only time will relieve those of us who still believe in the process. Go Chelsea go
Funny how our best performing players keep getting injured.. Nkunku, James, now Carney. Same thing last season. It's going to be about avoiding relegation again. Not a joke!!
I don't know what game we both watched, but Jackson was amazing today. Yes, there were some poor runs, but it still won't take the fact that he's one of the best players for us today. Even Disasi was good until after that yellow card. The reality is our midfield lost it after the second goal and we lacked true playmaker that can consistently play our forwards. We also had chemistry issues, but I believe if Poch can figure out his team & system, and play them regularly, that will self-correct.
@@princessLydia10. I'm not a Chelsea fan, but I love how they scapegoat anyone that doesn't adapt perfectly immediatelly (and it's always the forwards) just because they are in a bad spell.

Disasi is short for disaster! 😂 We were terrible today, same old story with not finishing our chances. This team will never ‘gel’ as there isn’t a team, the ins and outs in such a frantic manor just makes us less cohesive.
I don't we need a striker, we just need to give the team time to gel...I saw glimpses in the first half of the football we are capable of playing and i am confident that we are going to be fine
You have Maatesen who was scoring and connecting very well with Jackson but decided not to play him, also Santos was good for the DM position but let's spend 100 mil on a DM
When playing this 5-2-3 the problem is that our LW and RW have to play narrow instead or out wide because that's where the RWB and LWB are operating. Either we play 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.

Our performance in the second half wasn't good, but overall we played well. It's baffling how West ham played nothing yet we're able to score 3 goals, but these things happen in football and we just have to put this loss behind us and march forward with confidence. I think its fair to say luck leaned more on West ham's side than on ours.
The coach is completely responsible for our defeat; he starting lineup was a traversity. We must begin an offensive lineup next time, no more three at the back.
@@Mr.LevelUp. Fans who are happy with the club overspending, are responsible for the downfall. Why aren't fans protesting? Happy to see chelsea lose isn't it
There was nothing wrong with the lineup. We were on top throughout the 1st half and would have blown West Ham away if our forwards have scored our chances. Enzo losing PK was another let out. We lost because Chukwuemeka got injured and our defenders were in shambles
That's life in the EPL. Reality check? It gets physical. Scoring more goals than the opposition, can usually relied upon to win football matches. Chelsea still needs someone to put the ball in the back of the net. Urgently!
The only thing I am glad with this result is that some of the fan base will get-off the Hype wagon... It was getting ridiculous in my opinion... We are so far apart from Man City or Arsenal is not even fair. Even spending the amount of money we have, is obvious we have so many problems... This GK situation will impact our season so badly! Not having a creative attacking midfield for over half of the season will impact us so badly too! Jackson as our only striker is going to be a huge problem too... Not to mention our pathetic line-up when we played pre-season with 4 in the back and all of the sudden we start this regressive formation with 3 in the back! By the way I was already saying this last week... but for some reason Disasi gives me such a Koulibaly vibes... even the fact that he scored a goal on his 1st match reminds me of Koulibaly. Losing Carney was a huge blow so strap yourselves Chelsea fans, this is going to be a long season... 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Well, since the World Cup we have been in relegation form… nothing has has changed yet (results wise) we’ve got an almost complete different team now and hopefully the bad apples have gone… we’ve got some favourable fixtures coming up… let’s just hope we can turn this form around and string a few wins together
Calm down folks 2 games in, and some reactionary folks start throwing their tantrums, we're rebuilding a squad just remember that, and sorry, but it should be obvious that it'll take time, to gel, learn roles etc , there was a hell of of a lot of good things from us today, we should have had the game sown up by half time. Chelsea fans in Pre-season: We beat Wrexham, Jackson is a hidden gem of a striker and we're going to finish top 4. Chelsea fans after 2 games: We need a new striker🤣😂🤣🤣
Lol some fans are fickle......I'm a chelsea fan, and while jackson has to start scoring he does alot to help our attack by dropping a bit deeper to help the team. Only! Reason a new striker should be considered is becasue of this crazy injury hit we have going on abd uf something happens to jackson we are short. The team is young mistakes will happen juat need to be patient and trust the coach.....LIKE MANY SAID THEY DID!!!
Jackson is very raw, ideally we would have an experienced striker and ease Jackson in, but looks like he is going to get lots of game time and likely more he does not score his confidence is going to be shot to bits
@@sabazan joking aside, bringing in another striker would hold back Broja's and possibly Jackson's development. The problem with Chelsea last season was a bloated squad. If they are not careful with these signings, they'll end up with another bloated squad this season. Tbh Chelsea were terrible to watch against West Ham. The only bright sparks were the individual talents of Sterling, Chukuemeka and Jackson. Teamwork was non-existent and players looked confused playing against 10 men. Only time will tell whether they can gel better as a team. Too many fans panicking already.
Reactionary... yess we didn't play well but are people seriously gonna forget we're in a new project. Poch is still trying things out with injuries. The players didnt yet have had this issue with a low block and being behind. I trust the process and i keep believing in the players
From a neutral point of view what I saw of Chelsea they didn't play that bad but some of the players seem to play like individuals not as a team I did not see no encouragement from a captain whatsoever but fair play to West Ham they took their chances but I will say this sterling was the best player for Chelsea by far
My Analysis 👇 1. Mykailo Mudryk won't help us in any way. He's a waste. 2. Nicholas Jackson isn't enough, we need a world class striker. 3. Robert Sanchez can't be our number 1, we have to get into the market. 4. Raheem Sterling is back. Brilliant performance. 5. Moises Caicedo should've come on..there was nothing positive he could've done. He's not a striker or assist master. That substitution was unnecessary Mr. Pochetino. 6. Axel Disasi was a disaster today. Was exposed too often. We need to get back to a back 4 in the coming games, with Cowill and Silva in that back 4.
Axel Disasi and Cowill won't be better defenders for back 3 only badiashile and fofana can be stable enough for that because they have qualities we need back 4 Pochetino is lying
mudryk is a waste cos he missed a volley but Enzo and chillwell not included both missed golden chances, did you have a dream of being a football pundit pal
I'm tired of you fake fans who praise players when things are going good then crucify them after 1 bad performance. Yes, we were poor today but this is a young squad who are still getting to know each other. Jackson looked lively and dangerous in the first half, getting a "world class" striker won't change anything when we aren't able to feed jackson in the second half.
you say Sanchez and Mudrik played badly. But the match was failed by the entire defensive line that made childish mistakes. The only thing that Gallagher can do is tackle and foul. Every action of Enzo and Gallagher in this match was in favor of our opponent. I think this whole match was failed by the coach who made the substitutions incorrectly.
Thiago Silver had a similar debut against West Brom. Early days lads let's throw away the emotions. Chelsea will have a massive season. Is just one of them results.
Blue for sterling, very good performance, the player who fight for 3 point. Green for Enzo and Caicedo even they got some serious mistake but they are good while on the pitch. A DARK RED FOR THIS USELESS MUDRYK
Poch is to blame fr d loss Shouldn't hv use 3 defense against a defensive team like westham... Gallagher was poor today.. Exposing our back line.. Mudryk n chuku r good together
Agree with your overall analysis. Also worry about Mudryk and his terrible miss from the Sterling cross. At times, I think he doesn't care how he performs. Time for a serious talk. Poch underperformed too (surprised he's not Red) by not giving clear instructions how to break a classic "Park your buss" bunker tactics of Westham. Overall a cold shower on the hot team. It might actually help.
Colwill has also been overhyped, by no means this defense is ready to play at this level (except Silva ofc), we are a youthful team with amazing potential, that’s where we are today.
My week is ruined. How I thought we will destroy westham. Why the hell we keep 80% possession and can't convert while west ham gets only 1 or 2 chances and still scores. Where are finishers? Where is the threat ??
Time we accept that Murdryk is rubbish" this ain't a farmers league where he used play" Sanchez looks suspect and Disasi should close in real quick, feel sorry for Caicedo cause this now weighs heavy on his shoulders
He isn't rubbish, just is very raw, needs alot of time but unfortunately for him came with big price tag so people expect instant results. He should not be a starter for us and needs to keep being used as sub for now.
That's why fans need to be realistic more.. and "day-dreamer" less. Plenty fans said : we gonna thrash west ham, win 3-0, 4-0. blah.. blah! & now come back to reality! We are losing 1-2 to WestHam. Moral: Stop being overconfident. @ChelseaFC are nowhere near to be elite yet!🙏
My main issue was with the formation at the end of the game, I couldn't understand what Pochettinos's idea was. We had Mudryk, Madueke, Jackson and Burstow (too many people up front), with Caicedo, Enzo and Gallagher in the middle, the wingbacks were subbed off, Colwill was too close to West Ham's goal while Caicedo remained in the back, and thus conceding a penalty. I was really confused at that point.
I think were desparately missing an attacking midfielder. Back in the day we had goal scoring midfielders like Lampard, Ballack, etc. Now we dont have any.
I knew that the lack of goals were going to haunt us that's why I wasn't excited at all. Only Sterling, Carney and Gusto played well and I feel for Sterling, man did all he could as a senior only to be let down by his team mates.😕 this feels like last season. That defense was shocking, have these guys forgotten how to defend? Why do we always start games so slow? Damn!!!!
Yesterday we got a very harsh wake up call. I agree that the toying with formations cannot continue. 3-4-3 was not the formation to play against West Ham. We knew that they were gonna sit back, allow us to play in front of them and take every opportunity to hit us on the break. WE HAD TO HAVE EXPECTED THAT AND SET IP A MORE DYNAMIC LINEUP. We need to play a back 4, especially against the likes of West Ham. Playing 3 CBs for Antonio and sometimes Bowen was just criminal🤦🏾 Tactically everything went wrong. We were too slow in transition, eventhough we knew that West Ham will rush to put 10 men in front of their penalty area. There was no 1-2 combination plays and we relied too much on individual brilliance. That was not a TEAM display. One of the biggest mysteries that has plagued Chelsea for the last 3 2 seasons is the complete lack of desire and hunger, a certain level of ruthlessness. I hope this season it's not business as usual. Injuries are killing us right now man! We lost Nkunku and now no Carney. We don't have a creative 10 to help Jackson, he looked so lonely upfront! 😢 I'm starting to hear the Joao Felix chat tbh. Finally, these are the immediate things to fix for Poch: 1. Formation. Bring back the back 4. Disasi needs to be eased into Prem League football, he can't start every match. 2. Solve the number 10 position now! Whether it's going to the market for a Joao Felix or coaching the he'll out of a player to be a conveyor belt for Nico, weaker defences are always gonna look to put 3CBs and 2 DMs around him so HE NEEDS A PARTNER! 3. SHOOTING, SHOOTING, SHOOTING! Idont care if Poch has them practice for 24hours straight, it's time to solve this bunch's terror in front of goal once and for all!
We should have gone for Vlahovic. Mudryk looks worse every single time. Playing back 3 is a disaster. All of our wingers are crossing the ball with their eyes closed. It's early to be upset but the next 3 We Must Smash Luton,Forest and Bournemouth and anything else is just not acceptable!
@@kostask8866 He just scored a penalty and gave the assist at the first goal in 20 minutes away against Udinese but you say he is no good. Jesus Christ!!!

You don't hype the players too much. You are just utterly CLUELESS as to where you are as a club . You think you can just snap your fingers and start playing at "top 4" form.
Poch isn’t helping himself by playing a back 3 after cooking in preseason with a back 4. However, I also feel for him with all the injuries he’s ALREADY dealing with. James, Fofana, Chalobah, Chuka, Nkunku…it’s very sad to see us dropping like flies so early in the season.
The injuries are not the Problem, mate, the back 3 is. He should stop it now or quit the club. It sounds crazy, but I mean it. No big side easily reverts to a back three. Madrid, Barcelona, Man U, Bayern, etc won't do it for any opposition. Only this weak Chelsea managers do.
@@ceasefire9000 it still doesn't change the fact that it's a defensive system. Very few serious managers do it. I don't rate Xavi in the same class as Ancielotti.
@@ABMvP93 well duh. Xavi is nowhere near Ancelotti. My issue with the back 3 isn’t so much with disliking back 3 systems as much as it is that it feels like Poch is forcing it. He’s never really used one before, and he used a 4231 almost the entire preseason, so it just doesn’t make sense to revert to a back 3, especially against a team like West Ham that gives you 76% possession.
We need to play a back 4 with Gusto Disasi Thiago and Chilwell so we can get more out of Enzo and Gallagher. Caicedo at DM so they can venture and become more creative and allow that extra man through the middle to release sterling, help out Jackson and Carney on the wing.
When we played 4-2-3-1 during pre season Chelsea as amazing and now Poch keeps insisting on starting the game with 3 at the back… I just don’t get it? I know we lost Nkunku but ffs just pick the players that played amazing during pre season?? Santos? Maatsen??? This team would have destroyed West Ham on the Flanks😭😭 RB - Gusto CB - Silva CB - Colwill LB - Chilwell CDM - Enzo CDM - Santos RAM - Maatsen CAM - Sterling LAM - Mudryk St - Jackson
Negatives: 1) Gallagher can’t play as the deepest he has no vision or range of passing, after 15 min Enzo constantly had to go back to pick up and try to create and that’s not where he’s dangerous. 2) with time I think Jackson will step up and score, he’s stronger than he looks and is great at hold up and linking play. He’s in the right place in the box but he’s wiffed two clear chances the past 2 games. 3) disasi passing range is abysmal, against low blocks when our defenders have to find the killer pass that needs to be more Silva/colwill’s job. 4) mudryk is very raw - it makes sense that multiple managers never start him. Only pace but he’s never making runs when he should be, his crosses are very inconsistent and first touch is terrible. Reminds me a lot of Vini when he first started at real. Needs a lot of work and time. Positives: 1) sterling fantastic the rest of the attack just need time to get to understand each other more so they know when to make runs and when to receive in the box 2) Jackson will come through, when he gets more time and the attackers get to understand each others movements more I think he’s going to be fantastic 3) once caicedo is match fit and understands how poch wants us to play I think the team will look much better when Enzo is allowed to play higher up. 4) west ham are incredibly difficult to play against, takes a lot of work and understanding between players to break down a defense that low and tight. If we had just gotten 2-1 it would’ve been a completely different game.
You said it George, we need a goal scorer. We bought a lot of guys who we HOPED would score, but nobody who's already shown it... Ok, Nkunku's already shown it, but it goes without saying we can't rely on just him. Was never convinced by Jackson; so he had a nice run of form to end last season, big deal. Most of those goals were against clubs in the bottom half of the La Liga table, going up against the big boys of the Prem is a huge step up. We need to get Vlahovic through the door yesterday, I think really think he would cook in our side. Don't be fooled by his stats with Juve, I think he was just in a side that didn't give him good striker service. He had 17 goals in 21 games with Fiorentina before transferring
No that’s bullshit. Do you not watch football and see how well Jackson actually played? He never lost the ball hardly when it was played into him. He dribbled well more often than not and when he was on the ball he muscled anyone who was around him off. He was a nuisance, end product, sure, needs work but he played a very good centre forward game today no question. If he’s stuck with he will be very good, there is no question at all.
After all the hype and speculation and spending another £200m we have to go back to the drawing board. The problem last season is we could not score and the problem this season is we cannot score. The £900m expenditure has had little impact on our capacity to score.
I think it is absolutely ridiculous to expect Sanchez to save that shot by Antonio! The ball went through Disasi's legs to start with. He must have seen it late. The angle of the shot and its power would beat any goalkeeper! You're actually the first person I'm hearing blame Sanchez for that goal. 😊
how is Enzo a penalty shooter I can't remember him taking one decent shot since he joined?? the 8 on his back doesn't make him hit the ball like the man himself in his day, a yellow for him is a serious compliment George
The main problem with Caicedo is that he isn't match fit yet. Didn't play a single minute for Brighton during the preseason and spent close to a week not training forcing a move to Chelsea. He still needs to get back to speed before being overly critical of his performance

So many Chelsea fans made a fuss about us going for Vlahovic...this is what we deserve for insulting that guy.
Absolutely Correct! 3 at the back won't help us win games
Jackson is fine -- problem is creating chances for him. Can't score if you dont create chances. Backwards and sideways, afraid of the box. Sterling was good though.
6.chelsea are shit
1) We need more attacking depth, a winger and a striker
2) Jackson was okay, but when he makes a run he needs a through ball.
3) Sterling the only player that comes through good from this game
4) Don't think defence was too bad except the 2nd goal
5) Unlike George, i don't blame Sanchez for this match.
Enzo does give the ball to him at all over the top n getting big headed alrdy I lik a lot but needs to look fr his danger man more
Wow it really showed how James is so important in this team
mate we all love James, bt he is unreliable af*, make some1 else captain
Yes bro
James was not winning this game for us. Gusto had a mid game, but a better RB is not the difference between winning this or loosing 3-1
Forget him he plays for fc Physio
James would not have made a difference. Gutso got cooked a few times on the wing and if James was there the same would happen cause since James came back from injury he has zero pace. And the way we played, no one was beating that low block. Would have needed 3 pens to win
What’s so funny is that when sterling plays really well I don’t see any comments commending him for his performance!! STOP THE STERLING HATE
Hes best player of this team by mile
his was great at running straight with the ball today anything else that could of actually effected the game? dangerous shot? good pass? that's why
Running to the biline and crossing is good performance for a full back or a wingback not a winger he didn't have a single shot on target
Oddly I thought we played quite well until the penalty. One step forward, two steps back. West Ham went down 10 men but we struggled mightily to break down a low block. We don’t have any arial threats and it shows. This game shows we are very much a work in progress.
We needed olise
Lukaku???
Work in progress??? Bro you have nearly spent a billion lmao
@@keodejong2741Doesn't matter how much money you spend, if you have an almost entirely new squad full of young players then you are a work in progress by definition.

Caicedo "Harry Maguire" hold my beer....
Sterling was incredible today
All that Sterling hate... Mate WE NEED EXPERIENCE Sterling showed that in both games he has played well
This is not a dig to George I am saying in general
It's okay young talent hype but EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
100% Silva and sterling is far from enough need at least 5 experienced players in every starting 11
I strongly agree. We have too many kids playing. Not actually kids but too many in their early 20s. A few more players in their late 20s or even early 30s would suit. Players like Rudiger and Kovacic had experience. They are now gone.
BAFFLED... MIND BLOWN. WE NEED GOALS... Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
New players, new manager, same old shit...
This is on poch. 3atb against West Ham is criminal.
Plays 5 defenders against West ham ..embarrassing
Mudryk is not the man, he already got chances since January. He always plays in every match but his end product so so poor.
How many play times mudryk needs again
man if enzo scored the game would've been different
Sterling was great again, Chukwuemeka and Gusto had moments, Chilwell looked good and Jackson does the dirty work so so well. I’m disappointed with most others here but there are more positives here than I think we’re getting credit for. This is a defining moment for the season and we need to turn this around and prove we’re winners
I don't understand chilly substitution
@@maxp5422 me neither, just an unfortunate set of circumstances and some poor moments, we got properly west ham’ed today
Kepa was 100% better than Sanchez but fans won't admit it.
Agreed!
This keeper is worse
i hope he improve in real madrid and come back to win us another europa league...
Kepa is better
Agree!!!
We all have to calm down. This was not a disaster performance as you guys are making it. We’ve seen far worse than this. My issue here is I think we should play with a 4-2-3-1.
My take exactly. I still dont know why we haven’t played that formation when we played it all pre-season long

I agree with this completely.
You all expected 3-0 win and overhyped the cr*p out of this squad
Transfer Window FC Fans are so cringe
FOOTBALL ISNT ABOUT THE TRANSFER WINDOW
Considering what we’ve spent, the bench looked pretty lightweight and our lack of experience is a worry!
Exactly! Madueke and murdick were jokes coming in
Been saying this, the lack of depth is seen so clearly. Ignore what anyone else is saying about us, and buy some attacking players
We really need experience, only really Sterling, Chilwell and Silva of an experienced age in the squad.
Sanchez: Not at fault for today, maybe could have done better for the second goal, would have been 5 without him
Disasi/Colwill: Looked like absolute fools, got dragged about and are definitely at fault for the second goal
Thiago: couldn't do much considering what he had around him
Gusto: Did good to hold on the his man and made some necessary challenges, not a bad substitute for Reece.
Chilwell: Not much to say, solid before he went off.
Gallagher: Should have done better for the first goal, other than that, okay
Enzo: Played well until his head went down from the penalty, shouldn't be the pen taker, Jackson or Chilwell should do it until Nkunku gets back.
Carney: Played well and took the goal well, not great going off.😢
Sterling: Easily our best player today, we would have been completely toothless without him
Jackson: He can annoy defences all he wants but if he can't score, then what's the point.
Burstow: An unnecessary sub, especially as it was at Gusto's expense, that was poor
Pochettino: Largely at fault for the defeat, three at the back, DOESN'T, WORK! Played the wrong type of game, kept going over the top against tall and aerial defenders and got beaten by a low block. This needs fixing at it his job to get it right.
Same old Chelsea 😢
Sub in Burstow but all the crosser was sub off.. What point? Burstow is good at heading but when he came on, there are no cross at all
I think we’re being harsh on Sanchez. I don’t think he was at fault for the 2nd goal at all it was a good finish. I don’t think Kepa would’ve saved any of them goals so let’s keep it real and not put all the blame on Sanchez
I mean, there's a reason he lost his place at Brighton to Steele. Making him your number one was an atrocious decision
Kepa the savior? Hahahaha
Probably Kepa would have failed as well, the error was bringing Sanchez instead of Onana or Maignan
Kepa would have saved that
He isn't good at long shots but very good at short range shots
So I blame Sanchez
Kepa would have saved that
He isn't good at long shots but very good at short range shots

Played 4-2-3-1 all pre season to then playing a back 3 makes absolutely no sense
I felt so sorry for Caicedo. He wasn't fit for this game.
😂😂😂
Don’t feel sorry for anyone, weren’t good enough
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
He looked exhausted after a couple of runs
Caicedo didn’t have the blame ! All the team make him feel uncomfortable !! That was happened ! And I understand caicedo !!
We’ve seen this for over 5 years now we cannot play against a low block team and teams are now realising this because we are literally no threat to a low block team we just pass side to side and expect something special to happen. We only scored because we had a piece of magic for Carney that’s what we missed from the team raheem was the only player that really put all his effort in from the first to last minute respect raz for that
I have been saying this from the beginning, 3-5-2 is a negative formation for Chelsea and it will look so foolish if it doesnt work, and Poch completely made a fool of himself today…i swear i will go mental if i see a back 3, let alone 3-5-2 again, even Frank revert to a back 4 and here Poch suddenly bringing it back 🤦🏻♂️
Yes it is
Huh? We have played better in the 3-5-2 in both our games. Ir's when we switch to 4 at the back it goes flat. It needs wotking on but enough of the drama. 🙄

It's all Pochetino's fault. You can clearly see that the boys always have problems adjusting to the 3-back system. We've always been comfortable with the 4 back.
Disasi is the week link in the back 3.
Mudryk was poor. Gallagher was also not that good.
Infact, Pochetino should start using the system that the guys are comfortable with
I say this all the time all the time. The 3 back is terrible. 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1
That 2nd half had ne thinking of last season so much it was acc horrendous
True, defensive teams ain't easy. Refer to Chelsea of old. It's a new football philosophy for Chelsea and west ham easily figured us out. However, the discipline is quite evident and only time will relieve those of us who still believe in the process. Go Chelsea go
Funny how our best performing players keep getting injured.. Nkunku, James, now Carney. Same thing last season.
It's going to be about avoiding relegation again. Not a joke!!
Need to change the medical team asap because we seem to be the only team dealing with these ridiculous injuries

When carney went off ..we played so poorly. Sterling was our best player today tbh.

Our performance in the second half wasn't good, but overall we played well. It's baffling how West ham played nothing yet we're able to score 3 goals, but these things happen in football and we just have to put this loss behind us and march forward with confidence.

My Analysis 👇

I think sterling should have been the number 10 he can create more chances
you say Sanchez and Mudrik played badly.
I love Gallagher but he shows that he can’t help complete CFC midfield
Don’t why he not out the door yet

Truth be told,Robert Sanchez is not an upgrade on Kepa Arizzabalaga..........💯💯💯💯💯
Never in my wildest dreams I thought I would see Caicedo put in such a disasterclass in his Chelsea debut.
Liverpool dodged a bullet
Kind of expected, looking at the time he was introduced. There was confusion on the pitch
Blue for sterling, very good performance, the player who fight for 3 point.
Green for Enzo and Caicedo even they got some serious mistake but they are good while on the pitch.
A DARK RED FOR THIS USELESS MUDRYK
Poch is to blame fr d loss
Shouldn't hv use 3 defense against a defensive team like westham...
Our front line needs re-enforcement ASAP. Our team is still learning to play together under all circumstances, we will get better.
Hahahahhahaha... You need 1 billion more 😂😂😂😂
Dont forget we have an injured Reece and Nkunku.
Why you didn’t give red box to Pochettino George ?
Time we accept that Murdryk is rubbish" this ain't a farmers league where he used play" Sanchez looks suspect and Disasi should close in real quick, feel sorry for Caicedo cause this now weighs heavy on his shoulders
He isn't rubbish, just is very raw, needs alot of time but unfortunately for him came with big price tag so people expect instant results. He should not be a starter for us and needs to keep being used as sub for now.
Too many signings to build a successful team. Yet somehow don’t have a goal scorer. Jackson couldn’t hit a barn door!
That's why fans need to be realistic more.. and "day-dreamer" less.

At this rate, we should play with Lukaku and Jackson. Nkunku and Carney are big misses 😣😣
Lol, Carney scores a goal and now he is key player? You guys are just too funny.

Disasi isn't it.... He's still shaky on the ball I missed Badiashile ... The formation today wasn't the Best one everything went wrong from the start😢
He didn't play bad though, it was just not our day. I have been hugely disappointed by Mudryk though.

The fact is we’ve got too many youth players and not enough proven experienced decent players
I think Caicedo deserves a red, that was the the worst performance for a 115 million player
Damn!!!!
spot on on all of them. Disasi gave the ball away for the second goal as well.
Ah!.....both our 100 million midfielders messed up.....one missed a penalty and the other caused one. this is awful....😠😠😠
Tbf to Enzo,he did everything right apart from that penalty.
Playing 3 CBs for Antonio and sometimes Bowen was just criminal🤦🏾
Tactically everything went wrong.
Finally, these are the immediate things to fix for Poch:
Nah man we're getting relegated
@@-venomblustudios-7069 Sweet!
Maybe we can win games in the Championship then...yayyyy ffs yayyy!
Vlahovic isn't good at all, agreed with everything else.
@@kostask8866 Please stop watching football.
Vlahovic isn't good at all ...FFS!
@@kostask8866 He just scored a penalty and gave the assist at the first goal in 20 minutes away against Udinese but you say he is no good.
Jesus Christ!!!
Chelsea players don't look to square a ball they just swing .....where ever it gees
Think we hype up these players too much, but i think poch get it all wrong...! It seems Brighton put a curse on us....Chelsea plz stop buying there players!🤔😏👈💆♂️☹ even the keeper looking scary to trust!
You don't hype the players too much. You are just utterly CLUELESS as to where you are as a club . You think you can just snap your fingers and start playing at "top 4" form.
Casaido us a DM . Why bring him on when we're chasing the game?
Now im glad Liverpool couldn't Caicedo. He was in the centre of the pitch threatening his own team😂
@@ABMvP93 as I type this comment Barca is playing a back 3. 😆
Santos? Maatsen??? This team would have destroyed West Ham on the Flanks😭😭
RB - Gusto
CB - Silva
CB - Colwill
LB - Chilwell
CDM - Enzo
CDM - Santos
RAM - Maatsen
CAM - Sterling
LAM - Mudryk
St - Jackson
Ngl Nicolas Jackson needs help upfront man
I have given up on Mudryk +
the defence was non existence
Tell me did mudrky miss an open play or penalty???
I mean what has noni done. U can’t blame this MM. I swear MM is the escape goat for the team.
@@princessLydia10.He was one on one and slipped
@@farawaytundra008 almost everyone did slip on the pitch today .. ps the ref
Negatives:
1) Gallagher can’t play as the deepest he has no vision or range of passing, after 15 min Enzo constantly had to go back to pick up and try to create and that’s not where he’s dangerous.
Positives:
1) sterling fantastic the rest of the attack just need time to get to understand each other more so they know when to make runs and when to receive in the box
2) Jackson will come through, when he gets more time and the attackers get to understand each others movements more I think he’s going to be fantastic
3) once caicedo is match fit and understands how poch wants us to play I think the team will look much better when Enzo is allowed to play higher up.
I believe so too mate agree with you 100%
No that’s bullshit.
So everything looks good except the end product? Nothing has summed up Chelsea attackers more accurately for a while now
How have we spent 1 billion pounds, and our starting GK is Robert f*king Sanchez?
Why pochettino did those kind of changes! For example why he decided to get chilwell and gusto off from the field😡😡😡
After all the hype and speculation and spending another £200m we have to go back to the drawing board. The problem last season is we could not score and the problem this season is we cannot score. The £900m expenditure has had little impact on our capacity to score.
Where is Maatsen? The only player that seemed like could score
Chelsea need Lukaku. He brings leadership, experience and goals.
Jackson isn't good enough. Need a clinical striker
how is Enzo a penalty shooter I can't remember him taking one decent shot since he joined?? the 8 on his back doesn't make him hit the ball like the man himself in his day, a yellow for him is a serious compliment George
Respectfully as a Japanese Chelsea fan, RESPECT ENDO. He did much better when his team was down 1 man, than Caicedo when his team was up 1 man.
Same story with LIVERPOOL as with West Ham. 2-1... Red card... 3-1 FTW! Now I'm relieved we didn't get Caicedo!!YNWA!
The main problem with Caicedo is that he isn't match fit yet. Didn't play a single minute for Brighton during the preseason and spent close to a week not training forcing a move to Chelsea. He still needs to get back to speed before being overly critical of his performance
Enzo was crap

At this point I’m scared to follow this team’s matches. No one deserves to have their weekend ruined like this.
Grow up mate ,if your after instant success then your going to be disappointed ,this rebuild will take time, but we're showing a lot of promise, thees a team spirit now, some togetherness were fitter and learning new roles, tackling tics etc, keep the faith.
