In the Kamala Nehru Zoological Museum, a bird aviary has been made for birds in 1200 square feet. It is colloquially called Bird House of Bird Sanctuary. At present, there are about 400 plus birds of 34 species and soon the number will increase in thousand.
This bird sanctuary built in the zoo is special in many ways. First of all, it is the largest bird sanctuary in Central India. Then this is the first bird house in the country, where birds of four continents are kept together. For this, the place has to be designed with a lot of scientific and technical approach, because birds are also territorial. They can fight with birds from other continents. Its third feature is that here you can see birds not from outside the bars, but without any bondage, chirping on the trees around them, eating fruits..You can take pictures with them. 200 feet long, 100 feet wide and 35 feet high track has also been made in this bird walk through so that there is no inconvenience in walking and there is no crowd.
