Thanks for the tips Tom, Does the p-trap for the tub drain need to be 2" as well or can It be 1.5" then go up to 2" for the horizonal run. I could not find anything in my local code (Indiana), other than needing 2" since its a wet vent. Appreciate the help!
I do not know that there is a limit to that. The 3” drain serves as a wet vent to the tub. Usually they would not be too far apart for a bathroom group.

. Wouldn't that be 6'? Like a 3" arm. Distance of the trap to the vent?
I guess the plumber in that real world example forgot his level.
