      One more minor detail - Bull made the wrong decision every time because at his young age he first helped Wukong fighting against celestial and got defeated and punished, at middle age he chose to remain as a local boss got defeated again by Wukong (and that’s when Wukong whispering they need to follow the rules, well this is narrated by the game not the original JTTW), and at his late ages he chose to kneel before celestial for his family and eventually realize he literally figured everything wrong

    1st cycle: Wukong and Bull King are 2 great sages, they rebelled against the heaven and failed. Wukong was buried for 500 years under the mountain and the Bull King hidden away
    2nd cycle: Wukong got the headband placed on his head, submitted to the Celestial Court and followed their teachings, he fought Bull King when they met again (this happened during the Journey to the West) Bull King and his family was then [unished , he got mad, went against the celestial court and only then was *narrowly* defeated by Heavenly King Li (Li Jing, Nezha's father), Nezha (Third Lotus Prince, rides the flaming wheels), and Wukong combined with the army of Celestial Court.
    3rd cycle: Bull King now submitted and followed the Celestial Court, Wukong then tried to get rid of the headband and rebelled against the Celestial Courts and defeated, resulting his body got turned into 6 relics (to prevent his reincarnation) and given to those who helped defeated him (main bossed in Black Myth: Wukong).

    The story is purely politics fighting among immortals. If you are strong, you need to be side with someone stronger. If you choose to be independent, the strong consider you are potential threat and will eliminate you. Like today politics as well. All the small countries are side with stronger country. The destined one would unite most of countries and prosperities together and enjoy mutual benefit rather than on the menu or on the table. LOL

    Ok here are some background lore about the Bull King and Sun Wukong.
    At the very beginning of JTTW, they were both born yao guais, and they were also sworn brothers (along with 5 other yao guais). They rebelled against the Celestial Court as seen at 2:00, however they failed and Wukong was jailed by the Buddha (because the executioners can't figure out a way to kill him, he was already immortal at that point), and the Bull King surrendered, the Celestial Court sent the Bull King as well as Rakshasi to guard the Flaming Mountains.
    500 years later, Wukong was released from his imprisonment and was offered pardon as long as he could escort the Tang Monk to retrieve the Scripture from the west (JTTW lore). They went by the Flaming Mountains and battled against the Bull King so they could pass - no they were not the bad guys (neither was the Bull, 5:10). Wukong was basically saying "hey, the only way we yao guais can redeem ourselves in the eyes of the Celestial Court, is to find a master and serve the right cause, hoping to ascend to godship". He was hoping the Bull could understand why - who didn't and thought Wukong betrayed him.
    Turns out yao guais are always gonna be yao guais in the eyes of the Celestial Court, and that was why Wukong plotted with Erlang to dissipate his essence after his death, so he could come back in the body of the Destined One, and continue their rebellion.

      Ps:wukong choose to die and rebirth as "destined one" because it's the only way to get rid of the "jingu hoop”(which was used to control him) In setting, it is extremely difficult to kill wukong, and bullking(yes, his head was cut off dozens of times before he surrender).

    What happen in timeline, from this game’s set up, wukong and bull king were bro fight against the high ones (failed tho), then when it comes to Journey to the west, wukong chose to serve the Buddha and help detaining bull king (head chopped but not dead). After the journey, wukong found the dirty truth behind of high ones keeping their immortality and decided to give up everything but going back to his mountain. The west (Buddha) and the east (celestial court) doesn’t want someone knowing the secret goes out of their control so want to take wukong back, that’s what you see in the opening intro. When they eliminate wukong, those boss were participated and granted the relic.

    The young boy riding on wind-fire wheels who beheaded the Bull Demon King is called Nezha. He is also dissatisfied with the Heavenly Court and might become your ally in the DLC.
    In the Journey to the West setting, the Bull Demon King is immortal, so cutting off his head only causes him pain but doesn't actually kill him. In the original story, he had his head cut off over ten times before he finally surrendered.

      Just different version.
      There is one saying that once Li Jing lost the Linglong Pagoda, Nezha will take his life.
      But a lot of sources and cross literation like to believe that they reconcile with each other, Li Jing acknowledged his son contribution and filial piety and Nezha forgave his father and open up to him ❤

    • @ray-np5hi
      @ray-np5hi หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ItchOnMyBack Sure. Buddha is the bridge for Li Jing and his son to reach reconciliation. During the journey to the west, Li Jing and his son were not in a confrontational state 7x24 hours. If Li Jing didn't hold the pagoda, it's a bit exaggerated that Nezha would kill him. After Nezha cut off his own bones and flesh and returned them to Li Jing, Nezha's new body was given by Tathagata Buddha. Tathagata Buddha is Nezha's reborn parent. Every floor in the pagoda is filled with Buddhas. Giving the pagoda to Li Jing is actually a temporary transfer of Buddhist control over Nezha to Li Jing. At the same time, it represents the penetration and influence of Buddhism on the heavenly army.

Guangyin doesn't travel with them and deep down, cares deeply abt wukong and wouldn't purposely try to hurt him. The monk is a pacifist so he will only use the headband as a last resort to subdue him not to hurt. So the start of this ending of Chapter 5's cut scene is when Sun Wukong and The Bull Demon King attacked heaven and defeated 100,000 gods of heaven. Then Buddha came in and tricked Sun Wukong and sealed him for 500 years and stopping the attack while banishing all the demons from Heaven. Once Sun Wukong was unsealed to go on The Journey to the West, during which he needed something to put out a fire, The Bull King's wife's fan came to mind, but The Bull King thought Sun Wukong betrayed him and was serving Heaven and refused to give up the fan, which in term caused Sun Wukong to fight The Bull King and take the fan by force, hints why was beaten up. Then when Zue Bajie said he killed the Bull King's concubine he went into a rampage and attacked them but heaven then stopped him and cut off his head, that kid you seen cutting off the Bull King's head was Ne Zha, being forced to remain a giant bull and remain in the flaming mountains. After The Journey to the West, the real reason Sun Wukong did such a Journey, was to become high power in the Celestial Court to free the demons from the court's merits, but the Celestial Court did not wish to do so, so Sun Wukong wanted to live peacefully with his people instead and the Celestial Court could not allow this. Not knowing any of this, the demon kings betrayed Wukong and got him killed turning his body parts into relics which is why Sun Wukong said "Steer clear of my remains..." knowing it will corrupt them with power due to him being a buddha. This is when the Bull King was given Sun Wukong's Body for betraying someone he once thought of as a brother, the two headed pig looking relic, which is when the Bull King learned Sun Wukong did all that during the Journey to the West to save his family not destroy it. The Red Boy, who is the Bull King's son, wanted the relic to avenge the fallen Demons the gods killed so Sun Wukong would fight against heaven again, if you get the true ending then you will get why they had to die. The Bull King refused his son's request and was attacked by The Red Boy, hints why he was on the mountain hurt. Seeing you completed the chapter you know the Red Boy died and you get the Relic of Sun Wukong's body, but the Bull King wants nothing to do with you because he still believes Sun Wukong betrayed him and he doesn't want to trust any form of Sun Wukong.
    Not sure if you've beat Erlang Shin for the true ending or not, but you learn a lot more of why Sun Wukong really died and how he is free to fight against Heaven if he so chooses. The game is a real masterpiece and is telling the story after the Journey to the West while telling the Journey to the West, such a great game really if you pay attention to a lot of the detail. You learn who Sun Wukong is and what other's thought of him, but trust me, none the less this game is amazing and Sun Wukong is awesome.

  • @CL-hk5tj
    @CL-hk5tj หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    In JTTW, Sun Wukong encounters the Bull Demon King during the journey. In order to ensure that Tang Sanzang reaches the Western Paradise, he has to defeat the Bull Demon King. However, the Bull Demon King is immortal, and even when Sun Wukong teams up with Zhu Bajie, they are no match for him. So, Sun Wukong goes to Heaven to seek help from two individuals, as seen in the animated adaptation. In the animation, you can see the Bull Demon King's head being chopped off by a young man, who is none other than the mythical figure Nezha. In the original storyline, since the Bull Demon King is immortal, Nezha repeatedly chops off his head. This happens more than a dozen times. In the end, the Bull Demon King, afraid of the pain, surrenders and is ultimately defeated by Sun Wukong and his companions.
