The UNDISPUTED LEGENDS that have come from BYU truly inspire us to be better athletes, fans and human beings. QUARTERBACK U will always focus on the character of the athlete more than anything else which makes BYU so easy to root for and enable it to be one of 4 college teams that can be successful as an independent. A top 25 ranking last year was just the icing on the cake to a start their first Indy season. The upcoming BYU indy schedule is getting better and better and will allow BYU to
This is amazing the shot of the players on missions gives me chills and reminds me that there are more reasons to be a fan then just football. Go Cougs!!!!
Awesome vid! I would also like to say that I appreciate the true fans out there. Even if they're not fans of BYU. A true fan is someone who cheers FOR their team and not against the opponent.
Btw for a 16 year old guy to film, cut, gather music and put together a video of this quality, work his butt off, earn his entrance to even be able to film the players and be willing to include his beliefs and take all the positive with the negative gets props from me.
Fabulous! I absolutely loved the mix of the old and the new. I love the quote at the end, too! Who said it? I love the shots - I love the feeling of being part of legend - I LOVE the music (which would be inspiring with any number of films but especially works well here!) Nice job!
I appreciate the your comments. I guess I used the hymn because I thought it was cool and because the team's mission includes making efforts to reach out beyond the football field. I hope the song actually helps the players keep things in perspective. :)
I personally find these comments about mixing hymns with football surprising. Anyone who has ever played football at this level knows that the sport consumes the athlete. Players eat sleep and breathe football. In our society we frown on those that find a way to balance religion and their other interests. Isn't the point of religion to make it a part of every fiber of your being? Than why not football? I commend anyone who can keep their standards and beliefs in focus while living and experienc
Hmm... yeah, the hymn comes across as a little bit of overkill. This is coming from someone who loves BYU. Still, great footage. Should be an exciting season
Umm.. This might me a hymn but it didn't start out like that. The History is that Annie Hawks in New York came up with a poem, not a hymn, and her pastor liked it so much that he composed it as a hymn, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints just adopted it as a hymn. I respect the hymn and it doesn't hurt to always hear the message of the original poem. Plus I love classical music, and not all football videos have to have heavy metal Those are not fun to watch.
Neither. I am a USC alumn and have friends who are both red and blue fans. I spend a good deal of time in Utah with my job and listen to your sports radio when I can. I hear about the lack of respect for your program nationally from your fans. When opportunities presented themselves BYU decided to remain a mid major instead of going to an AQ conference, and I look like the idiot?

I loved how you mixed the old with the new. Great Job! Really great shots!
Thanks!
Yeah, Stephen has some great music! :) He is a great composer.

Thanks upTownLoCo!
I love the mission board too! I didn't realize how many players are serving 2 yr missions.
Thanks X42Predator!! :)

Thanks! My dad came up with the quote! The music is from Stephen Anderson, he's good isn't he!
Thanks for watching rodge6968! I am glad you liked it. Check back throughout the year. I will also be doing a few summer highlight films as well.
Go Cougs!!
It is a version done by Stephen Anderson. You can buy it from his site. I listed the song and his website in the description. :)
Stephen J. Anderson composed this song.
love the video, but not going to lie it was weird hearing I Need The every hour and thinking of the Savior while watching it
"I need thee every hour"....? Nice. Go cougs.
Where is the retired Jersey of Jake Heaps?
