Great video, we have bought two Tindeqs for teaching with our Physio students after this review and your podcast episode with us. Limitations noted RE sampling frequency, will use RFD for teaching rather than research. Will use a few different HHDs so students can learn pros and cons of each.
I had a question I arm wrestle and I need this device to test certain I have two crane scales at home here but you got to hold them for 5 seconds before it locks in the max if you know what I mean cuz if I let go before 5 seconds it'll just go back down to zero and I won't know what I had for Max does the one you're using this video automatically show Max instantly if so I will buy one tnx
I don't think I'm getting the right readings when I'm doing my rfd test. I can wrist curl 40kg on a pulley and I have tindeq attached in the line, and when it counts down and says go, I do the lift in well under a second, and it's giving me a reading of around 20kg/s when it should be more than 40kg. Maybe I'm not doing it right
I use a wide variety Of options from a custom made load cell setup to isokinetic. Probably use the Mark 10 device setup from jlw the most that we customized together for this. But I’m liking this option a lot.
Hi Scot, what would you use on each end of the device. For example if I want to assess quad strength through knee extension, what would you use to put around the leg? Some form of strap like you would see in a gym on a cable?
Sure, anything that works for you to fasten. There are a number of commercial options available for fasteners but make sure it can handle higher forces.

Any chance you have an alternative device that you think measures RFD accurately?
Yea, maybe one that's not 150 dollars. 15-25 dollar cheap crane scales do the same thing.
Scot, love this review. Been looking for a good cost-effective device for a while. Any other recommendations? What do you use?

@@scotmorrison2822 on the RFD setting in app, do time signatures exist or is it just a line graph with peaks and valleys?
@@McWeaselson main think to remember is that 80Hz isn’t going to let you measure RFD with any reliability. So the rest doesn’t really matter.
