Another awesome episode James and girls. My favourite bit was Hallie “I’m half monkey half girl”, Hallie is way more than that, she never ceases to impress us ❤ meanwhile, we can’t wait to get you some Salty Days kids hats and floating sunnies. Anyway back to you James, well done on your McGuyvering your motor mounts, nice work! Loving your episodes, keep em coming 💙
First episode, unsure how I ended up on your cannel mate but let me say one thing... absolutely have mad respect for you in taking your girls along for a ride, through thick and thin you pulled off a broken engine mount, outboard problems and a crazy adventure up along the Hunter River at the same time as making a life time memory that the girls will always remember... today you have my subscription, like and a comment... keep it up mate, look forward to more great videos... i have videos of my kids at 14 and 15 years old on my channel goofing around travelling NZ, the boys are now in their 30's and we look back and have a laugh at the silly times... best thing you have done mate.
Oh thanks so much mate that means a lot, stoked your enjoying the videos. I’ve got heaps more coming as well we’ve done a lot of miles since all this was filmed. Yeah honestly showing the kids these when they’re grown up will be amazing. Thanks again mate!
@thesaltyjocksadventureco.2689 thank you for the reply... without a doubt these will become cherished memories and something to reflect on once the girls are older... enjoy the time you have now while they are still young, they grow fast and blink of an eye they moving out and starting to work... I will be viewing your future videos also... I'm in Esperance working on my own ship project and can't wait until I can motor out of the marina to start my adventures too
Pushing limits is what makes life exciting. Rewarded here with some great amazing explores. Glad you found some fresh water and, most importantly, Halle found some frogs. Nice improvisation with the engine mounts, and the branches. I've got faith that you'll get the boat out of that channel, somehow. Few people ever do this stuff so thank goodness you're here to share it.
As a mumma bear I freak out a little watching you all. I'm blown away by how resilient the girls are. Thanks for sharing with us. The most beautiful shot was Isla in the tinny shaded by the branches and just playing with the unopened flowers. That waterfall was beautiful in amongst all the harshness. Can't wait for the next one. 🍌🍌🍌
Fantastic episode James,so much content.Sadly the girls will just see you as dad. They will in time appreciate what they have experienced. You are an inspiration for people to have a crack.Rob and Jan ,TAHLAI TIGER ,we are just short of Townsville 😀😀😀😀😀😀👍👍
Felt a bit emotional when you were talking about how the girls will see you. Such an important thing for all of us as parents to reflect on, and what amazing stories of their childhood they’ll have to share forever.
Yeah that’s it hey, it’s a pretty common feeling for most parents I think, doesn’t matter what you’re doing, boat or house. Those relationships and those moments are the most important I think
The Salty Jocks crew, genuine Aussie Battlers making it happen with plain hard work, nous and a keen sense of adventure. Yes, keep moving forward, I agree because otherwise you’ll have nothing to look back on. I noticed the guitar amp at 12:00. Do you play James? 🎸
That’s it haha it’s all we can do! Yeah I played solidly for about ten years and just got a guitar and ukulele on board now, used to play thrash metal 😂
I absolutely love the part where one of your daughter's was driving . I tell all my friends who claim their kids don't want to come out its because you don't let them drive or do anything . Kids don't want to be cargo , they want to drive and do shit . Wait till you are somewhere safe and let them drive . Let them grind winches - who cares about sail trim . Let them cook dinner , let them drive the dingy . Let them chose the destination . Let them do the Tarzan thing with a halyard - not in crock infested water though LOL . All with help of course . I have wonderful memories of hours spent in a cheap inflatable just rowing around and exploring with my dad some 50 years ago . A picture of us cruising that tiny sailboat is the in the entranceway of my house . Subscribed - thank your kids . My granddaughter is names Isla, she loves the boat .
Another stunning video mate...!!!....is there anything you regret not taking with you, other than engine mounts...???....more tools perhaps...??? Kindest regards to you, from me in South Australia.
Oh if I had the chance again just the whole electrical refit and the new fridges were the main one, you just can’t afford to have battery issues and lithium has been a game changer. We were sweet for tools but a lot of the issues were wear and tear just coming to ahead like the sails and the out board. The water maker was definitely not essential you can easily get enough water even at the end of the season. The motor issues I think we’re just part of the learning process, what to look for even on top of regular maintenance, I’ve got a pretty good idea now just from having to fix everything
Your kids don’t care who or what you do you are their dad and all dads are superhero’s in there eyes enjoy them while hey want to hang out with you it doesn’t take long and they grow up and want to hang out with there friends have fun 🍺🍺
I love your channel, but you take so many shortcuts and risks that it could put your kids at risk. Maybe save up and make the boat safe before risking disaster
Mate, you need to go work a bit, then buy a watermaker and also fix all the important stuff. I love you, and your kids and channel - but mate, you will eff yourself up eventually. Why not take a break - and earn some deniros to make the boat, and "hence" - the Channel 100 x better!!!!!
Best time of the week spent with you and the girls. And Yes.! They will remember and appreciate what they have experienced. All the very best.
Legendary stuff team.
Fantastic video mate. True life. Girls are having the best time.
Loved the branches for shade .
Worked pretty well hey haha

Thanks so much guys great to hear from you, hopefully you’ll be back on the water soon as well!
There is something seriously wrong with the TH-cam algorithm if this channel is just being shown to me now! Quality content!
Thanks mate! Yeah I think once the subs get up it’ll spread a bit further haha
You are doing a fantastic job as a dad, mate. Kids spell love-T I M E. They'll always remember these times for the rest of their lives.

You having to speak over and above the music is a bit disconcerting .
The music is ace
