Best run of the night was Montieth, 26th to 8th, was one hell of a show
SB100 I honestly believe he had the best car there. Just got kinda messed up at the start and had to fight his way back. He was the next to last car to run his qualifying laps which hurt him even though he qualifies decent. In his heat race he couldn’t get around Cory Haas even though he was clearly faster. Would have put him in the A main without fighting though the B main. That’s the problem with the Grove or any big 1/2 mile track for that matter with Sprint cars. You need lapped traffic to help you make a pass most of the time being clean air is so important.

Monteith sure was a bad bad man last night I think he used up that tire to much by the time he hit the top ten. Definitely hats off to Brent and Brian awesome drives from both.

Williams Grove Speedway ( until it’s closing ), was known for many years as… “Ascot of the East”, as well as home of “The PA Posse”, because it’s probably the toughest local competition that ”The Outlaws will face.
Ascot had a tough crop of non winged sprint car locals on the West Coast, dominated by “local yokels” of the California Racing Association (then called C.R.A).
As a footnote, there is only one driver to win a sprint feature at Ascot with the winged sprint cars, as well as without the wings....
