Vito mistakenly thinks D.E.I means they add one bad white guy and then for "equality" there must be one good guy. Who said that? Who claimed that? You can have the whole film be a bunch of "bad white guys" and the D.E.I crowd would be perfectly okay with it. You just can't have all bad black guys, or all bad women, heck today you would be hard pressed to find even one black person or woman that is bad or evil. It destroys movies today because you automatically know who the bad guy is. You know it's the white guy from even the begining of the movie. You know the woman charactor will be perfect and wont grow as she was always perfect, she just didn't know it yet. You know the lgbtq+ person is a good soul. You know the black guy has faced oppression. You know it all without the script telling you. It is fundamentally lazy! This is why even many leftists dislike most "woke movies" because there is no suspense. If you know who is good or bad simply by the casting it makes you not wanna see the film at all. Practically 90% of all the classics film lovers (like myself) loved cinema wouldn't be made today due to all this b.s. nonsense. It will ultimately destroy Hollywood because creative writers can no longer be creative as they have to kowtow to everyone elses demands. It also the reason I personally have come down so hard on Rippa. You can't just make a "non woke product" and expect praise. It must also be a creative well made product. A "parellel economy" that also make's parellel crap will fail just like current Hollywood has done "two weeks ago"...lol
Ryan was right about The Batman. Jim Gordon and Selena Kyle, black washed. Even had Catwoman make a comment about rich white people. Yes, the movie is woke.
I know nobody cares anymore, but the Batman's debut in the movie was him confronting a gang of men led by a white henchmen playing the "knockout game" against asians on the subway while the young black teen was being pressured into it. We all know the people attacking asians and playing the knockout game are not a bunch of white guys. There is all sorts of these kinds of things in the movie that are more subtle, and it's an absolute chore to point them out to people.
@CalebDekker it's a chore, but it's kind of Ryan's job, no? He should phrase these things in a way so that normies get it and see what's going on. I remember being a normie when it came to the subliminal woke messaging in the entertainment media. Ryan's comment would've just confused and or put off any normie who happened upon his video and, worst case scenario, pushed them towards the woke left. His friends should've ragged on him and made him eat shit for that lazy comment. In a fun playful way of course. Instead, they became the echo chamber they sought to destroy and tell Ryan that he did no wrong.
